I'm the same but if you playing GI do you really walk around, like really WALK AROUND? or just go from teleport to teleport and then walk 10 meters to the daily?? I noticed "Open World" is just in the head and we really don't "open world" we just rush dailies, domains, if this will be open zones slight bigger than 3 rooms I'm fine with it. Honkay was trash bc PC port was garbago so if this will be as polishe on PC as GI this game will be massive, combat itself will be worth give it a go
@@bartd2935 You are missing the point. These instanced zones games feel like they don't have ANY world at all. So forget the "open" part. There isn't really anything grounded in them except some arenas for combat. And exploration in open world games can be super fun. It doesn't matter that you later only use teleports. The first time you discover new places can be magical. Not everyone grinds with dallies like crazy to maximize everything. Majority of Genshin players enjoy it for the actual content and new areas.

This is exactly what i want, a challenging enemy that makes you feel like you're f**ked when you fail to dodge their attack because the enemy here actually does damage, once you die you actually die, there's no revive unless there's a buff that lets you revive your party (not sure if that exist in this game yet)
But..there are literally 0 challenging enemies ..

I realized the other day I really like one aspect of Honkai's Battlesuit system, gacha can leave characters' involvement underdeveloped or awkward, but versions of existing characters can make up most releases, and new chars are added when appropriate. I think this cast looks great for a core-characters approach too, I like the variety in Genshin but sometimes it feels pretty messy, like we're just playing really cool npc's, especially with how events are. I wouldn't mind if Genshin ever shifts gears a bit and releases alternate versions, but we gotta get those characters from other nations, so they can only go so far with it. Also, this kinda gives me Jet Set Radio nostalgia
its sooo good i cant wait to play it in the future but... in my opinion genshin is still the overall fav game forever
Ok this video made me much more hyped for the game than the official trailer. It looks super fluid and dynamic, the graphics are great and the animations are excellent.
Unfortunately for me it's the same style as Honkai and PGR. It's fun and all, but the gameplay lasts less than 5 minutes and you go back to the menu screen. I prefer Genshin in this aspect because I can enjoy the characters and combats better, but each game has its own style yeah.
Not for me as I'm not a fan of hub-based worlds but I am happy for those wanted Honkai Impact: Post Apocalyptic edition.

If the game's "equipment or builds" has like a bit of rng that would be challenging and annoying, but if it does i hope they add like a rare item that increases the chance of getting a specific stat....

Yeah it's a roguelike, so stage-by-stage was inevitable. I don't know how you could do roguelike in open world.

The cutscenes are way more animated and expressive than anything genshin gave till now.
Probably when they made Genshin they didn't have enough money to both create the massive open world and make unique animations for so many quests
I wish they'd start making them more interesting now that they have no shortage of money... We don't even have voice acting for side quests
@@petrueshhka if you gib voice to side quest- there are like 4 languages... That shjt involves lots of people to records, each people have their own schedule- not to mention the impact on storage- since there are dozens of sidequest that nobody have time to clear em all (people still struggle to complete all main archon quest, let alone side quest) ... All of those effort and end up for most of people not playing it... It will become a wasted resource just to please minority players. FYI the OG gacha players are already minority even before genshin... For example, FGO that shjt has almost no VA yet poeple fine with it. So yeah there are lots of decision making regarding voicing the side quest.. should ve keep that in mind, its not an easy feat
Because those are the set pieces. There won't be many cutscenes like this. 99,9% of story will be told via simple screen with 2 non-animated character models. Even easier and cheaper to mass manufacture than the simplest voiced quests in Genshin.

And there are many who actually enjoy doing them, such as me. I hate that major quests like in Enkamoiya sometimes aren't voiced.
For mobile players they should simply make it a function to not download the new voice-over and you should stop defending a billion dollar corporation.
Not my cup of tea but i'll definitely try it when it comes out! I might end up liking it. The combat looks really fun, i just wish it was open world. But i don't really like these sci-fi post-apocalyptic environments in games and mostly like fantasy themes. This game might end up changing my mind tho
The running scenes at the beginning give me Into the Spider verse vibes

I didn't get along very well with Honkai Impact's gameplay, but this game instantly caught my attention.
This is what I imagined a new Mega Man Legends would be like more than 10 years ago
it has omega good visuals and a lot of unique npc... but if all combat would just be instance based then its a downer 😅

It's a roguelike, so instance-based was always gonna be the way. I guess maybe they could add bigger areas for other modes in the future, but otherwise you have Genshin for open world already.

i just wanna say that those "eyebags" of the male mc/brother arent eyebags, theyre called "lying silkworm" aka aegyosal. if it was eyebags, theyd make the area under the eyes darker instead :)) the lying silkworm thing is basically just fats under your eye that appear when you smile(and also squint your eyes a bit), some people's show even when theyre not smiling and it makes their eyes look bigger. its a huge beauty thing in china lol

Everyone is just locked with 5 body models ( adult male, adult female, young male, young female, and female child ), we cant get bears and stuffs or buffed dude
As for their weapons, genshin shows that they can play around character weapons like heizou and childe so that should not be a problem
It’s because genshin is open world probably; This characters are amazing but they can’t jump, flying or climbing
the body models are due to open world nature.. When you don't need to worry about climbing, jumping, and other world interactions, you can be much more flexible with the body types.
Genhin will have more freedome as well if they are not open world.
Imagine this kind of unique body models AND the 7 (9 if we count khanriah and celestia) nations in the expected openworld map. We might even add the usual whine about not being fully voiced in 4 languages while still being a multi platforms game.

This isn’t really my genre, I just play Genshin because of the lore, but the design of the characters and the stages looks really good. The gameplay is kinda like Honkai.
But one question: what’s about Honkai Star Rail, when does it finally come out?

I would love to hear their english dubs, although english is my second language I think I will be more immersed I were to hear them talk to each other in english. Anyway, game language is barely my requirement to play this game. As a player of DMC and Persona 5, I am hyped up to explore around, fight enemies, and learn the story of this game. Yes, regardless of dubs.
I think there will be eng dub since one of the site teaser has eng dub on it.

The game is indeed challenging... but you gotta play bit more for that. You will unlock hard modes later. Well I mean its same in all games that they give you somewhat easy content at the base start tho

Don't know why people are complaining that its not an open world game. We don't need another genshin and I would rather they focus on combat and story rather than making a huge map with pretty much nothing to do but wait for the next expansion of it. ZZZ has its problems but if they fix them and don't pander to the super casuals then we got a good game on our hands.
More ZZZ content please... I'm still on the fence about giving it a try as the play style is like Honkai Impact 3 (which I dislike)

and Honkai Impact 3rd have all.

It look good, but we have some games that goes like this alrd, its still beta so its still object to change, here are some things that i wish this game can do so that it has its own unique identity:
1. Aerial combat : just like the honkai oddysey but make it better and less laggy
2. Dont focus on character too much : genshin and honkai are basically "you want new gameplay? Pull different char then". Lets make it different now, maybe just stick to some character, let villain be villain and Gives us the ability to switch weapon during the fight haha. I really hope this one is not a team based fight like genshin, PGR and honkai.
3. Its optional, but maybe have a bit of open world aspect to it? Not so much like genshin but must be way better than the exploration we have in honkai/PGR. The environment and style for ZZZ looks rad, it would be ashame if we just confined into arcade stages.

What’s up with that open world obsession ? They’re often boring and empty or just something you don’t even look at because you’re speedrunning your way to a shiny waypoint on your mini-map to do the most boring quests to exist (looking at you genshin). They require too much care and attention from the developers to be something that you can just add as a plus because it would just just downgrade the game

So its gonna be like a big map, maybe 5/6 times of arcade map with some platforming included. Obv i dont want this to be full blown open wolrd, just a bit of open world.
@@sagirem i think if the added some more obstacles in between traversing areas like idk rubble or broken down vehicles they could probably fix the emptiness of the arenas i played the fate Excella games and had the same problem with read story fight hoard teleport through 20 arenas across map fight boss but in this case it'd be like 3 arenas
Tldr/ the traversing of stages could be more interesting with environmental obstacles
@@sagirem open worlds are an awesome genre of game, and games like Zelda and genshin know how to make the experience very enjoyable and unique, so I totally understand people asking for that in a game they like.
But I agree with you that not every game must be a open world. MIHOYO already have open world rpg, don't need two. Honkai is coming to an end not to far from now, so this game will be the next HnS of the Company.

the game play looks so smooth but in my opinion soul worker is way better because the game has more depth and every character has like 50 skills and also combo mechanics

@@winghong3 soul worker is popular in korea they got a good amout of player base the problem with soulworker in the western countries is that game forge took charge of the game's development and it suck as long as you play their version of the game and also the player base really dwindled because game forge erased all of the game deta and people had to start the game from 0 and all of the money they spent on the game went to vain

yeah, when the swap option is frequently up you will see that its the same stuff.. however, they might be able to change this by implementing skins that changes the way these characters move like how Honkai does it

I'm kind of annoyed on everyone's comparison to pure fantasy openworld Genshin like we all know it's Hoyo's magnus opus but come on man, this is far from Genshin's artstyle nor theme. It's it's own unique project.

This game looks like the same old but with shinier skin to it, and i dont know if i like it tbh.

I never really got the appeal of hub based games like this. I need an actual world to explore not just grinding endless "dungeons" that all look the same. Imagine Genshin if you'd be stuck in the Favonious headquarters and could just do domains and spiral abyss all day.

The gameplay in this game looks interesting, but overall the esthetics of the game isn’t nearly as beautiful as Genshin imo. And for that reason alone I think most players will still prefer Genshin. It’s much easier to accept flaws when something looks beautiful (that goes for humans too lol)
I think so too. There’s something about the graphics and the UI of Genshin that’s so easy on the eyes. However, I know that there are huge lulls between major updates in Genshin and so I think I’ll be picking up ZZZ so I don’t get bored.

@@guujigaming I’m also annoyed at the amount of free characters and skins I missed out on due to joint Genshin late so that’s like the number one reason why I’m even scouting out ZZZ and even tower of fantasy. But sadly they both lack the charm of Genshin.
