"Ownership is an illusion and everything is a rental." So true. Glad someone finally said it.
When we had a coffee this week in Copenhagen on vacation it really felt like renting a ‘chair and chill out spot’ for half an hour in the city. We could sit inside, use the toilet and calm down and relax a bit, and as a bonus we got a coffee. It was the first time it felt like I was actually willing to pay the full amount for the coffee just to have access to the chairs and toilet 😅
I love cleaning out my closet. I prefer weeding out on weekends to many things. It’s fun!
But I am also very minimalist so it doesn’t take much time.
I do this a lot too!!
I love my rental apartment home , grateful for it every day and love it here .
We have a nice gym, pool, community events, my dog has pals, a dog park and it's well run and well crafted. It's within my numbers solvently. The energy and community is wonderful. Close to lots of nature trails. Love I can all maintenance. Easy to take care of and smaller which my dog and I love!
That’s what I can do right now solvently and I don’t debt ❤ Not even a mortgage! Will not debt to own.... to me it is still "renting" from a bank.
Car is paid off, grateful for that too . There are many ways to live 🎉 LOVE your audio version.
That m goes through its environment so unbothered and determined. Pushing away the geometrical hardships. It's trully an inspiration hahah
I love listening to you guys! And I share TK´s thoughts about books changing your soul so you don´t leave them just how you bought them! I also underline stuff and write in the margins for my re-reads 😍
Did your guest say she pays 98.00 a month????
I don't think she's gotten the point. I understand special occassions, but to pay that amount every month is not my idea of minimalism.
How interesting... bigger isn't always better! lol
I rent my home, but I own my car. My landlord is a gem, which I understand is unusual.
That sounds very ideal, celebrating this for you! 🎉
To me a big argument against buying is the time spent shopping, ordering caring for item. Renting seems to also have a lot of those downsides. I don’t think renting clothes would simplify. Only cause more work.
I own my house.... Wait! On second thoughts, my house owns me!!! Haha!!
I own my house and borrow (really) the car I use (can't call it MY car!!!).
Skin issues from rental clothes?))) Never heard of that 😂
First!
The audio quality is really bad
nevermind fixed
ha-ha you never own your home you don't pay your property taxes or your hoa dues they come and take your home away from you, once you pay off your car you own it even if you don't pay your tag renewal no one can take your car away from you.
No one has ever lost their home due to not paying insurance/tax. You would just sell your house. It would be crazy if someone couldn’t come up with tax/insurance payments anyways.
I wonder if you would still think the same when you retire... Rent is becoming a huge problem for pensioners (who find it really hard to make ends meet), at least in my country.
