⭐ The Wooden Houses of Kalamaja in TALLINN, ESTONIA

We walk a residential neighborhood of historic wooden houses in the Kalamaja district of Tallinn, Estonia. The houses were built in the early 1900's to house factory workers. Kalamaja is a hip, trendy neighborhood where many houses are being restored and where industrial buildings are being re-purposed into restaurants, shops, and galleries.

Thank you for Kalamaja tour. What I most love about Kalamaja, is how the old, new and renovated buildings are all nicely combined together, like the meeting of history and nowadays. It must have been a challenge for architects, and they have accomplished. Hope it was an exciting walk four you as well :)

I absolutely love Tallinna. I hope they never get the idea of building massive or even skycpracer class buildings like Helsinki - that would take away from the 'nature' of the town.

There are no skyscraper class (>150 m) buildings in Helsinki.
