For anyone who doesn't know duels are NOT A gaurintee death. Death only happens if Neuvillette doesn't stop the match or if the person refuses to yield [in the case of Navia's father.]
What duels are for is BYPASSING the entire trial section.
This means if someone were to win, they'd get off scot free. If they lost, they get sentenced to prison for the alotted time they would of been sentenced for had they'd been found guilty.
This is confirmed by Clorinde's voice line where she says "most duelists concede before the match begins" and even explains how such matches work.
Death is actually very unlikely. So if this is the same person, Clorinde's trailer technically comes first then Wriothesley's.
He requests a duel.
Realizes hes SOOL.
Concedes but makes a last request to see his daughter.
Wriothesley get's time to prepare for the child services who come to get the guys daughter and Mescal gete a chance to see his daughter before being sent to prison.
Wow it all makes sense now thx bro
Agreed! I think the order is just a little mixed up but based on the context it really seems like Wriothesley’s comes after Clorinde’s since the guy’s already being taken to jail
What's with all the gas about it being irreversible then, as if implying they will die😐
What happens if you kill the person you're dueling? Like if someone powerful/skilled enough to kill the duelist before Neuvillette calls it off, is it fair game?
@@SolHati0828 dramatism. second you can issue the duel but who says you can't lose via surrender
If anything, I think it is Clorinde first, then Wrio. With Clorinde he had a chance to prove his honor. But we all know he ain't gonna beat Clorinde, so he gave up, and went to fortress of merophide instead.
Yeah, because Wrio isnt taking him to trial, he is taking him to prison. Therefore he already had his trial/duel. I suppose in a non-violent he could have been given parole to get his affairs in order before leaving for Meropide
this confuses me because a duel is irreversible, and the two npc men in both trailers seem to have different characteristics. also I'm pretty sure their hair is a bit different.
No, wrio arrested Mr. Mescal, then he stood trial and requested a duel
@@amostarpeh1351 Wrio doesnt arrest people, and its clear he was taking him to Meropide.
Didn't you hear what Neuvillette said at the end? This decision is irreversible.
This pair of husband and wife is really cool
The reason why he wanted a duel is so he can stay with his daughter so it makes sense.
Also the duel doesn’t always end with death as long as the challenger gives up. Navia’s father chose to die in the duel which is why he died.
Bro I would NOT want to live in Fontaine with the amount of sad children in there and adults committing crimes
Eh, better than AC Unity's France.
Tbh most of teivats children's life's are at least tragic
I dunno Liyue and Inazuma seem pretty bad too. Though conditions seem to be improving. Liyue had Beidou barely avoiding starvation as a child, Ninguang barely scraped by as a child, many of the ghosts we meet are children. Then Inazuma has war refugees and orphans, plus people affected by the Tartarigami. Of course there is Ruu and Qiqi, but they are more distant past cases. Mondstadt, had issues in the manga with Fatui "recruitng" I guess, but they seen to have things mostly under control, except for alcoholism.
@@TheCsel I swear inazumans live in poverty 💀
Other nations hide their crimes inside the lore, Fontaine’s lore is crime lol
By this logic, Neuvillette’s teaser may or may not also be connected with its final scene, with Neuvillette declaring that “The court is now in session”
WrioRinde for the win! ❤🎉
Fr
i genuinely like Clo x Wrio more than Neuv x Wrio
it just fits better. but on another note, i see them as brother and sister.
They don’t look like siblings
Wrio and Clorinde are being connected too once in a while
💀
It’s an interesting theory. Though, I have to say that I don’t think the NPC who gets cuffed by Wriothesley is the same as the one who requested a duel in Clorinde’s trailer.
If you take a closer look, the one in Wriothesley’s trailer has their hair line leaning towards their left. However, the one in Clorinde’s has their hairline in the center. Additionally, both of their eye shapes are ever so slightly different.
While I don’t deny it’s possibly a small inconsistency, I’m not sure it makes sense story wise either. For a father that loves their daughter very much to request a duel with the likely possibility of death? I can’t see that connecting.
same voice act
The events in Wriothesley's teaser are probably happening after Clorinde's ones because the guy is already on his way to Meropide. And his request for a duel makes a lot of sense, considering that he is a loving father, he thought he'd have a chance to stay with his daughter instead of going to jail. Plus, the chance of death in the duel is high only if a person refuses to yield after they lost... But this guy seemed to surrender before the duel even began.
You only die IF you refuse to concede the match. Death is very much not likely to happen which is confirmed by Clorinde herself [her voice lines were released so you can even look into it yourself.]
@@nobody-xh6ii Is that the case? My bad then. I must’ve gotten my information mixed up.
@CreatorNova its alright. If you check out clorinde's voice lines you'd find out more info. But by paying attention to the npc's in the area [such as the duelist by the arena talking to a guy] and listening to the story where Navia asks why Neuvillette didn't stop the match, how Clorinde responded to Furina about what happened during the match and the like it's obvious death isn't the norm. It can happen but only IF the person doesn't give up. Which is what navia's dad obviously did to make sure Clorinde would kill him so Navia stayed safe.
CANON like you really gotta be in DENIAL at this point
As wrio and clorinde shipper, i'm happy
Real, WrioRinde
as a wrio and neuv shipper, i am happy
Hi happy im cyno
same
@@locamiGIBro STOP
LITERALY it's the same VA and the character design is the same in an animation, the only headcanon is that this confirms a ship or something, but objectively the character is put in both trailers on purpose. I don't understand why so many people insist on denying something that has FACTS
Interesting theory, but I don’t think it’s the same person… just the same NPC model.
Agree
This is hand crafted, there is no "model". If two characters look the same and wear the same clothing, they are the same
Clearly you have no clue how these trailers are made or how they work....It is by choice that the NPC looks the same.
@@migs284 they have different hairstyles though
@@oKenshinHimurai dont Think so.. could be a coincidence
Rizzley X Chlorine confirmed!!!
How in Any Way does that confirm wriorinde…
@@Keithinniea joke lol ( I think )
Explains why we didint meet em in meropede
Not entirely. There's a letter in wriothesley's story quest that might belong to Mescal in one of the old cells if you look at it [though it's not for sure if it belonged to the guy]
Wriorinde is canon...
It’s definitely connected. Mihoyo is created enough to chance npc if it weren’t the case
I think we can find this guy in the fortress?
Oh My Absolute God,,, Thats great!
Y'know what I realized? How the f--- is Clorinde fighting with high heels? Like imagine if you press "E" in Spiral Abyss and she trips over 'cuz her shoes cracked. LOL
She boutta become the new Navia
I think The voice is different in chorline’s voice I think the 1st one is the guy was doing something bad and had trial but not the fighting one and passed
Omg i love this theory
what did the guy even do to be jailed?
😮Is that Salsa😅
Dude 😮
I would be could tho
Nahh just a random npc use same model
concave skull.....
Wriothesley and Chlorine are like brothers and sisters
Well no
@@ZahraHajissa Hell Yes
Nah i don't think that's connected
0 brain cells, if you think it is by chance they decided to hand craft the same npc into 2 different trailers in which both teased characters are connected and, the fact the used the same VA for the same npc.
First
They're not the same person
Mihoyo doesn’t do anything by coincidence, they’re clearly the same person
@@WriothesleyEdger and headcanons are not facts
@@Jonathan-em8ldhow is it a headcanon lol they are literally the same person from the face to the clothes. Go spread negativity somewhere else
@@Hanako-San100 do you know how many repeat npcs there are? It is a headcanon until hoyo explicitly states otherwise
@@Jonathan-em8ld proof? I’ve seen npcs that look alike but their clothes are always different and besides its an animation so they aren’t restricted to characters models
I didn't know that npc guy the same npc guy that wrio arrested is connected to the clorinda trailer.
