Dying of jealousy for all the makeup gurus who received this palette already! I am obsessed with my Basics palette for travel, use it for my brows and everything. Can't wait until this comes out!
I'm so excited! EVERYTHING out there is marketed to warmer toned people with more color than me. I'm a fair toned, cool toned person and I'm DYING for this! GIMME!!
I am so glad I watched this before returning it; I felt like I did a horrid job blending; but I love your color combination... I am feeling inspired thanks to you lovely!
I love it! Cant wait to try it since the nakedbasics1 barely shows up on me. But it kind of reminds me of Physicians Formula's canyon classics. Thanks for the tutorial!
I'm surprised they didn't go for a much warmer palette. People seem to gravitate way more to warms than cools because everyone can WEAR warms and so many look awful in cools. Bummer. Well...yay for all my olive girls out there. I can't use this. I mean, the first one may be "warmER" but I would never look at those colors and call them warm either.
COMPLETELY agree. Bring out a palette with warm shades, a highlight colour and a black/dark brown and I'd be all over it. I just don't get how they pick colours. Even just a warm transition shade?
Wow Karen you took the words right out of my mouth. I own all Naked palette except this one and I"m sick and tired of all these cool browns. This palette does not translate well on everyone face especially Golden toned women.
I absolutely loved this video! I didn't expect urban decay to release a naked basics 2! I love all of my urban decay palettes and I'm sure this wont be an exception! Can't wait to get my hands on this and a great video as always!
great review and tutorial. Love the look! I am actually getting both the 1 and 2 basics for my kit, I got to try them and love the creaminess and the color pay off!
Beautiful shades in this palette, finally something cool toned for my extra pale skin. You also made this application so easy to follow along with! Just subscribed:)
Fabulous palette! I own Naked Basics and thrilled w/Naked2 Basics. I agree that it is a different look, def cooler (noticed once I played w/) but not so much that it looks awful on warmer skin shades. I'm a neutral olive while my daughter is more peachy / fair girl and looks great on both of us! Thanx, Sona for the awesome (as always) tutorial!
I might have to buy this immediately, b/c I use the first one every single day. Great for blending out other shadows, and transition colors, as well as using it on its own.
Loved this review and your demo. I'm still thinking about this palette but let's be real, I'll probably end up getting it because I have issues and the naked collection needs to be complete =P
Not that it matters much, but skimp has been in 2 other UD palettes. Book of Shadows IV and the feminine palette. Still a great brow bone color I agree with you! Still an amazing palette too :)
I'm actually really excited for this. I hope to get it for Christmas (if there aren't too many amazing limited edition holiday sets, hahaha). I'm already thinking of different combos with my Naked 2 and Smoked palettes. AHH!
It's beautiful !! Thanks for the tutorial ! Cant wait to try this new palette out, but I'm in France & have no idea when this will be coming out here. Take care Sona ! xOx ♥
Sona, thank you so much for this sneak peek of this palette. I didn't even know UD was coming out with a Naked Basics 2, so this was a nice surprise. I have the original Basics palette. Although I love it, I wish it were talc free. Do you know if the new palette has talc?
New subscriber!! Any idea when this will be released to Ulta or Sephora in the Midwest?? B-day month and trying to take advantage of the extra points! :)
I actually own this palette and tryed this look and it was a bit to much for my taste so I had to tone it down a little and then it was perfect! 😂 great video ❤
Am I the only one who thinks that this palette was COMPLETELY unnecessary? Seriously, I think UD should let the Naked palettes line alone a little bit.. or just focus on the Naked palettes each year.. because this Naked Basics 2 was soooooooo identical to the first one and I don't really see why anyone that has the first one would buy the second.
beautiful as always sona :) I'm curious about those urban decay lashes that come in separate parts? what's that all about? is it for a more natural look? I mean it seems a little odd to put two different strips of lashes on one eye when you can use just one?
hello Sona, just discovered this vid and it's great. I think it would be interesting to make a tuto on how to take the fake lashes off and if you have a specific cleaning routine as well for them ? Maybe you did that vid already so if so, sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you.
I thought those were two sets of corner lashes, did you just decide to use them like that or were they actually made to go on the outer and inner corner??
Would you recommend this one over the first? I can't decide which one to get. I love the colors in 2 but feel that the first has more versatile lighter shades.
GIMME!!
These cool tones look so stunning on you! You've sold me on this already! Can't wait for it to launch!
I've just brought this palette (two years too late!) this is one of the most stunning eye looks I've seen! Beautiful xx
Thanks Sonia. That was a great tutorial. Just bought the first basics palette last week and I'm looking forward to the new one.
I love this palette ALOT more than the first one!! Def a fan of those cooler matte shades!
I am Naked obsessed and have all the Naked palettes!!!! Can't wait for Naked Basics 2! Love the look
I am so glad I watched this before returning it; I felt like I did a horrid job blending; but I love your color combination... I am feeling inspired thanks to you lovely!
this is one of the best detorials I have ever watched. so simple and very well explained. WELL DONE
Bummer. Same here. I never considered my naked basics palette to be warm :\
COMPLETELY agree. Bring out a palette with warm shades, a highlight colour and a black/dark brown and I'd be all over it. I just don't get how they pick colours. Even just a warm transition shade?
Just to let you know not everyone can wear warm tones. They look really bad on me personally.
Fantastic reply. I completely agree. People will still buy it but it's not going to get the hype the the Lorac Nude Skinny palette got.
Wow Karen you took the words right out of my mouth. I own all Naked palette except this one and I"m sick and tired of all these cool browns. This palette does not translate well on everyone face especially Golden toned women.
I love this look! I'll be rocking this next week for a wedding party. TY!
I wanna get it soon! Thanks again gorgeous makeupbysona!
Been looking for a tutorial that I liked using Naked Basics 2, almost gave up, then I found you! Great look, beautiful job.
I absolutely loved this video! I didn't expect urban decay to release a naked basics 2! I love all of my urban decay palettes and I'm sure this wont be an exception! Can't wait to get my hands on this and a great video as always!

Very good work! Looks amazing!
I might have to buy this immediately, b/c I use the first one every single day. Great for blending out other shadows, and transition colors, as well as using it on its own.
