    I’m still waiting for Heras son Jason to make an appearance.

      Dude, same! Do you think Jacen is currently on the Ghost? We've yet to see the Ghost make an appearance.

    Sam WItwer was listed in the credits under additional voices at the end of ep 2…I suspect Sabine Ahsoka & Ezra are a Triad in the Force…however Sabine HAS to be trained relentlessly before being able to wield the Force.

      Very curious about Sam Witwer. I've seen a lot of people saying they think he's the voice of Marrok and that Marrok is Starkiller. I'm not sure that's the case, though.

      @@StarWarsTransmissions I suspect Dave wants Marrok to be the canon version of Starkiller…he’s wearing heavily modified Sith stalker armor.

      I can't say if Filoni pulled from Starkiller as inspiration for Marrok, but I don't think his armor looks like Sith Stalker armor.

    Its rly sad bc i was hoping to see the 2 new darksiders to be reoccuring villians and not just one off ahsoka show villians. But it looks like with the actors death that wont be the case

      Maybe Shin will survive and be a recurring character moving forward. I'm very intrigued by both, so I would've liked if Baylan also appeared outside of Ahsoka. Very sad that Ray Stevenson passed away.

    The Grand Inquisitor had basically the same helmet as the 8th Brother so... point invalid. The 8th also really fucking sucked at lightsaber dueling, while Marrok seems to be quite good.

    • @StarWarsTransmissions
      @StarWarsTransmissions  Год назад

      Yeah, their helmets were similar. Can we really say that the Eighth Brother was a trash duelist? I'd have to go back and watch Twilight of the Apprentice, but I feel like he was outnumbered multiple times in both episodes.

      @@StarWarsTransmissions At least you remembered GI's helmet. Pretty much every single person I've seen make a video on Marrok trying to link the helmet design forgets about that one. So that proves we have multiple Inquisitors with basically the same helmet. And I guess the 7th Sister & 2nd Sister helmets are close enough to each other too.
      The 8th did nothing impressive in his brief time. The 5th & 7th have at least pressed Ezra & Kanan multiple times, although Ahsoka easily took them both out. Eighth resorted to helicoptering away pretty much every encounter, more than the other two for sure.
      Yeah, in the beginning before the others showed up he was outnumbered, and did some dumb shit. Even when the sides were evenly matched-ish, 8th still didn't really do anything impressive, then he went and darwin awarded himself off the cliff unceremoniously. And even if the fall didn't kill him, the Sith superweapon that just went off did.
      Marrok here does some impressive stuff, and doesn't rely on the double saber nor the spin mechanic much. He fights a lot more competently, like the GI. And no, I'm not insinuating that's who it is under the helmet, I'm just saying Marrok fights at his level. Which probably helps explain why he's still around.

    • @StarWarsTransmissions
      @StarWarsTransmissions  Год назад

      Those are all good point. And, yeah, he's definintely not the Grand Inquisitor. Charles Soule's Star Wars comic explained that Vader imprisoned GI's specter in a Jedi Outpost on Tempes as a trap for unsuspecting Jedi.
      I agree that his dueling skills have probably allowed him to survive beyond the end of the Galactic Civil War. You have any thoughts on who Marrok could be? Or do you think Marrok is simply a new inquisitor we've been introduced to?

    • @cd5sircoupe
      @cd5sircoupe Год назад

      @@StarWarsTransmissions Yup, I'm aware of the GI's fate in the comics. That's pretty damn metal of Vader/Palps whichever one did it.
      Honestly I'd prefer Marrok to just be a new character. Whenever we get a new, mysterious character, the fandom always scrambles to connect the dots somehow to someone we're supposed to know and I'm really tired of it.
      That said, if the show just has to have a twist with this character, my thoughts go to a clone of someone. The universe has had cloning being pushed in recent years across the various projects, and if the goal is to very loosely adapt Heir to the Empire's broad story beats then that would fit in perfect. Who that someone winds up being, dunno. Could be an Eezra... maybe an Aanakin (doubtful). I'm not really on board with that happening, but I can see how they could make it work.

      The more I think about it, the more I agree with you. I'd rather they be a new character.

    Go see the critical drinkers take on the show and see if you still feel the way you do about the show so far. You're opinion is really reaching for things that are good.
    Edit: And I want the show to be good. It's ok. It's not great so far.
