The idea behind the compilation "Din-Rajani" is to present 8 songs of Tagore based on 8 ragas chronologically from morning (Bhairavi) till late night (Malkauns), each preceded by an esraj piece based on the same raga. Since it is difficult to ascribe one definite raga to several of Tagore's songs, the esraj pieces reflect the mood of the songs, rather than the exact grammatical interpretation of the ragas.
This piece "Tomarei Praner Asha Kahibo" is in the tradition of "Bhajan".

Never heard this song before! Kudos to Kamalini for having sung it in such an impeccable fashion, especially with a superb prelude of Esraj. KM's pronunciation, her timber of the voice and delivery make me a fan of her songs and this one is not any exception.........shantanu from Jamshedpur

আচ্ছা কমলিনি, তোমার maturity কবে আসবে? Preludeটা এস্রাজের সওয়াল জবাবের মতো হয়েছে।Tagore Song নিজেই একটা সুসজ্জিত ঘরাণার composition.এত সাজগোজের দরকার হয় না।
পুনশ্চ লিখি, খুঁত ধরা আমার কাজ নয় এবং তার জন্য বসেও থাকি না। ভালো গাও,গলাটাও ভালো। তবে একবাটি দুধে একফোঁটা চনা কি ইচ্ছে করে ফেলো? যদি ফেলতেই হয় তবে গোচনা কেন নয়?
