Recommendation 1 have gas struts fitted to to bonnet/hood as it will lighten the load both ways. Recommendation 2 have a simple rope 3 to 1 pull down added to the roof top tent, it will be much easier to close, can be done from the ground, locked off to hold while you climb up and latch it.

I recommend decluttering , you mentioned you have items you were looking for and you found when you did this tour. It would be nice to watch you go through your belongings and see you get rid of and organize
This is epic Maria! We’ve been watching your videos for some time now. So stoked you found our Rig Caddys and that they work so well with your setup. Still tripping that our product ended up in your hands. Cheers!
You know what gets me about truck shows and especially from a female point of view, is this : Somewhere down the line you will get broken into and things stolen and afterwards think "How the hell did they know where to look to find what is important to me?" Easy you told them yourself and for everyone that does these shows for RUclips and your patroens, think Security always and Never show where you keep valuables you need. That is my tip for you to consider but in your case too late, as everyone and his dog knows what you carry and where it is located . Now re-arrange everything to a new or different location .
Love this video! I am glad you found room for all your essentials that were previously in your roof storage container. I didn't realize Poe had so much storage! You are definitely a pro at this travel thing now. And remember, a little dog hair never hurt anybody. :) Stay happy and stay safe! Looking forward to the next video!
I've owned a couple of land rovers, Atlantic British with locations on both coasts is the fastest way to get parts that I found. Fast shipping and great support for defenders.
My fingers have been crossed that you'd post a video and here it is🤗 Happy (belated) Birthday Maria! Hope it was a good one with Blue! Excellent exiting indeed!!😋🎂🎈🎉🎁💙
I am surprised since you went to the expo that you didn’t get a out door kitchen mount setup for your rear bumper. I have seen some super nice ones at the shows.
You may want to reconsider your “kitchen junk drawer.” If you had an accident, some of those items could become lethal, being loose like they are. Be safe!

How have you survived as long as you have lmao, I'm kidding lol... Thanks for giving us the tour, honestly though, when you're on the go, things can get messy. It's nice that you had help to get everything cleaned up and organized... probably why we're just now getting the tour lol.. Can't wait to see your favorite videos you've ever made! I know they'll be awesome!
If you plan to do a lot of overlanding your rig should have a winch. It can pull you out of trouble spots, you can use it to help others, and you can even use it to pull down the roof top. The amount of things you can use it for is only limited by your creativity. For maximum flexibility you can make your winch detachable so that you can switch it between the front or back bumper. If you don't want to spend a few hundred bucks to install a winch then at least get yourself a come-along at Harbor Freight.
If you watch a channel called “overland travellers”, they are just finishing a series on fitting out a land cruiser troop carrier very similar to Poe. It’s a husband and wife team that travel Australia. It’s not their first fit out, they have had multiple other vehicles.
What a fun video. You had me laughing! Your friend is so nice and I love Duncan and of course Blue. I can’t wait for the dog rescue video and I’m looking forward to making a difference in those stray dogs lives. Thanks for another great video!
Another Awesome Video/Tour ! "Blue's addiction bag" 😅😂 Cena (I hope that's how you spell it) needs to arrange to meet up with you, about once a month ! To tidy Poe ! 😉😅 To be honest ! - some brackets on the sides of po to mount recovery boards and/or mount some extra gas/water canisters - extra solar panels if you'd like on the roof. - maybe some hydraulic struts for the hood to do the heavy lifting
Carry some spare fluids for the Defender and look at installing a dual battery setup. You should be able to get by with a 2nd battery and a simple relay setup and you will have a great addition to the Jackery as a source of 12V electricity. Beyond that, youre well sorted without much of the excesses people add to their 4x4's. Keep up the good work and keep being you.
Ok so about the water leak. I (think) and I could be completely wrong on this one, but just by glance It may have looked like possibly the sink pipe. The one that comes off the sink, is on the “outside” instead of the inside of pipe going down to wherever . I could be completely wrong,it was just a glance. A Home Depot run for new sink repair pipe is super easy peasy to redo. 👍🏼
You should put a light bar right above your windshield. It would definitely help you see better when your out in the middle of no where. 😉👍or even a small one on the front of your grill. Be safe 🙏They even make small square lights that you could mount on each side of your windshield/hood too.
Just discovered your channel, and I am instantly hooked. Hope to see a super episode when you make it to my home state of Idaho. Keep on trucking and stay safe.
I def think you should get some magnetic light / motion sensors for the outside of Poe for at night. If someone comes creeping up in the middle of the night, a light turning on may scare him away. Also.. another idea.. put one of those finder fobs on Blue's Collar just incase he ever gets lost or something happens to you.. your family would be able to track his whereabouts.
So my question is why dont you invest in one of those small trailers (offgrid, expidetion, ect) that are enclosed with heat, ac, water, kitchen stove, propane, refrigerator ect. They will go where you do and if you break down you still can stay in the trailer. That much more storage and having everything organized and usable would be a game changer. Poe Allen Egar should be able to pull them and barely know they are there. Thoughts?
Ummm, upgrades ya reckon? I'm sure you've at least one 3D designer as a subscriber, give them the measurements of the defender, so they can redesign the interior, that way you can figure it out and design out problems before an actual future build, oh and maybe a place for a dust buster so you can clean the inside so other people don't have to lol
Uhm, since our boy Blue loves everyone....maybe you should carry that hatchet inside the truck with you. Just a thought. We love you girl and we all know you probably haven't opened that locker in eons. As for the dog hair...Blue is loved just as much as you so who cares?!?! Loved Duncan &! Sena ....they can cameo anytime!
One thing I did on ours is get some Exmoor Trim canvas seat covers as we were sweating so much in hot climates and our legs and seats were always wet, I got a 90 300Tdi M plate (UK number plate) a couple of years older than yours.
Vinegar is the best for your sink… put it in a spray bottle and spray your sink and let it sit for a bit and wipe it clean. Vinegar works good on everything to clean, and chemical free. 😁
Thanks for sharing! Still working on my shuttle van build year…3😬Lol So my suggestion for organizing things in a tiny living space is to create an INVENTORY CATALOG of sorted & grouped items by need & accessibility of use like minimalist sorting technique(might make a cool video too?!) 1. Remove & lay every single loose item out on a tarp or something outside. 2. Place items which go together in groupings. Like; tools, cooking, toiletries, safety, first aid…. 3. Make a list of every storage compartment in your vehicle. 4. Sort storage compartments list by interior/exterior access, then list by small med large. 5. Separate your groups of items to 2 groups interior/exterior access. Some things might be both such as bear spray, 1 inside/1 outside…but both within quick reach. (If a bear or creeper approaches you, you won’t have time to go dig for the spray)… 6. Place smaller items in heavy duty labeled zip lock bags or plastic containers to keep dust/dirt moisture free. 7. Now arrange similar grouped labeled bagged items into each storage interior/exterior compartment by usage. 8. Make an inventory catalog list of items placed in each storage compartment so you can find things by the list rather than digging. Might seem extreme & tedious but in the end it will be a total game changer! I LOVE organizing! Hope this helps!😊
Roaming Reckless As a former Londoner who has lived in the U.S for 23 yrs,i was quite surprised to see u Driving the Land Rover! ( it's one of the best u see them all over the Globe& there's a reason why the Brit Military still use them) And i would suggest,on ur travels,if u can locate a local international Hostel ( where u a have all kinds of people staying& traveling, u might find someone who's a Mechanic or something! u just explain what ur doing& who knows,or maybe u might be able to give someone a ride to another State for Gas money?
You can get a rope pulley to pull down the Alucab. That will make it a lot easier, since you are a light person. :) Attach to the pull cord and somewhere on the rear chassis member. You should also get some pad locks for the side lockers. It is so easy for someone to open them and steal stuff. :O
Roaming Reckless. Many yrs back( in my previous life) when i lived in London,i went with my Sister to a LandRover dealership ( she ended up buying a Discovery, which was so useful for her&3 Beautiful Long haired GSD) but i can remember sitting in one of the Defender's & Landrover have always had a great rep,but were mostly a vehicle for the Military or farmers& maybe some construction guys..But i sat inside& i couldn't get over how high the Clutch was! But it appears the Vehicle is workjng just fine for u( They are notoriously durable)but i think in Vegas where i live, they're pretty pricy( Parts etc!)But i wish u& ur Beautiful Border Collie safe traveling..( And my uncles had them in Ireland 🇮🇪 fantastic Dogs &they were once considered the smartest Dog Breed!)
Love it! Love the conversion. That tent on top is awesome! The phone I have automatically switches to emergency satellite signal when there are no towers around.
Hi Maria & Blue, 💜🤗💙Always great to see a new video, lots of laughs 🤣& so fun to watch! You have a natural talent for comedy, I hope you & Blue make a movie someday, can't wait to see your editing in New Zealand & Australia, it will be sooo sick! Stay Safe !😇😃🏞️ 🛺 🌅🏜️🌳🏔️☃️
That’s a nice rig👍🤙. I would probably invest in like a rear tire carrier. Not sure if you have a tow hitch but if you do, a Rigd Ultra swing would be a great solution to move your spare tire from the hood & to the back. And is not permanent you could remove it anytime. The Ultra Swing also have an attachment option to carry a fuel or water can like a Scepter or a Wavian. I would also maybe look at a winch, recovery boards, & an onboard or stand alone portable air compressor like an ARB Twin or single. And maybe some additional exterior lights like Baja designs or KC to name a few. A dual battery setup and solar panels are great additions as well. Just some ideas to make life easy.
Hi Maria, I came across your channel a little while back. I must say, you freaking crack me up and besides that I love truck camping, your personality is what keeps me watching. We all struggle and have our own messes so don’t pay too much mind to it lol plus it keeps it fun for us to watch. Btw, has anyone ever told you that you look so much like Michelle Viscusi? She’s a professional competition shooter and you guys are almost identical!
Hi Maria, I'm from New Zealand, I love watching you n Blue, on your travels, Love Po, thank you for being you, I'm working up the courage to live in my car n travel my Beautiful Country that I love.
The penthouse suite on the Land Rover is definitely you Maria, practical, intelligent, fun and a huge improvement over the original vehicle design. I’m sure by now you’re used to it how is it in the heat?✌️❤️🇬🇧
You need spot lights and a second battery as a back up, wired so you can run you can run your lights everything off it so you aren't at risk of running your main dry.
Maria, What an awesome and fun video. Especially the organizing and cleanup of poe. Seeing blue again is always the best how he steals the show lol. Suggestion when it comes to blues hair, I bought this devise for my dog and cat that works well and might be of interest to you. On Etsy has a Fur Buddy Shop Vac Brush and it is an awesome item to have when dealing with pet hair. I bought one and I love it. Well like always have a safe and wild travel and give blue a hug for me.
People talk about how bad every thing’s becoming but in 1965 my Mom and Dad took us on the road in a 16 foot trailer . In those days I couldn’t imagine a young lady doing it alone back then. 👍

4. Sort storage compartments list by interior/exterior access, then list by small med large.
5. Separate your groups of items to 2 groups interior/exterior access. Some things might be both such as bear spray, 1 inside/1 outside…but both within quick reach. (If a bear or creeper approaches you, you won’t have time to go dig for the spray)…
( it's one of the best u see them all over the Globe& there's a reason why the Brit Military still use them)
And i would suggest,on ur travels,if u can locate a local international Hostel ( where u a have all kinds of people staying& traveling, u might find someone who's a Mechanic or something! u just explain what ur doing& who knows,or maybe u might be able to give someone a ride to another State for Gas money?
Wow...what an awesome video Maria and Blue...
that hehe never get old..
Love the Breaking Bad under the driver seat camera angle
The "Heh heh😁" at the beginning had me 😂.
Many yrs back( in my previous life) when i lived in London,i went with my Sister to a LandRover dealership ( she ended up buying a Discovery, which was so useful for her&3 Beautiful Long haired GSD)
but i can remember sitting in one of the Defender's & Landrover have always had a great rep,but were mostly a vehicle for the Military or farmers& maybe some construction guys..But i sat inside& i couldn't get over how high the Clutch was!
Molle organiser for seatback and windshield are awesome and should totally look badass with your army Rig and your awesomess for sure
The tidy will not stay for long. But its your happy place😂😂
Your vehicle is 20+ years with only 75k miles on the Odometer? Awesome deal :) Great channel!!! Thanks for sharing.
Maria, your personality is so cute & funny!
You make my day!
That guy is hardcore hovering
Place the spare tyre on the rear door so the hoods easier to open and maybe a lockable trailer for storage
Happy 😊 birthday Maria🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤ your rig bad ass 😎😎😎😎😎 love ❤️ blue too!!!
Love what you and Blue have done with your home 🤗God Bless and travel safe…🐾🧸hi Blue 💕
Love her videos she is so energetic and exciting to watch.
Maria can you lock that top roof extender down from inside. Would be safer if you could. Just a thought.
People talk about how bad every thing’s becoming but in 1965 my Mom and Dad took us on the road in a 16 foot trailer . In those days I couldn’t imagine a young lady doing it alone back then. 👍
Love yoir videos!!! Im currently converting my discovery 3 into a camper.. hope all is well! And blue is doing okay too! Much love from sunny wales x
