I used these speakers for a few months and for the money they are fantastic. Really enjoyed working on them. However they are incredibly resonant in the low end. They honk pretty hard around 30hz - 45hz. They aren’t terribly accurate like my ATC speakers. However for the price point it’s really hard to beat. The ATC’s are 14x the price of the Adams so obviously they are significantly more accurate and detailed across the whole spectrum. Definitely recommend for someone who’s looking to be a bit more from their monitors. But be careful haha. It’s a dangerous game upgrading you’re monitoring and room acoustics.
ATC's are definately on another level, but your right on the Adams, for the money they are hard to beat. If you do mixing professionally I would say they aren't quite there, but you could get away with it but more work. As with everything, budget rules. Acoustics are just as important if not more important than the speakers. It's an audio sandwhich, you can't have one without the other and if you do it won't me as nice. lol
There is some treatment on the sides and back wall but not enough, and they need treatment behind them. They will sound better with more treatment you are right.
HI, unfortunately I don't. Looking at the genelecs they are only a 2 way speaker by looks of it. Always try and get a 3 way, they just sound better, in my opinion. Also only 104 spl db which wouldn't be very loud. If you have treatment could be an issue. They look good though.
@@Drumbaseuk The gens do have 3 ways but they do cost as much as a used car from a pair. Nevertheless, I do agree with 3 way being more able to produce better mids with it's dedicated driver. I do love the old gens 1030 which Ive had for 15+ years but sadly, its no longer working and I need a new replacement. They do have that clarity to them. Thank you for your input.
please treat that room right now !

A review without treatment? You haven’t even heard them properly yet

Hi, have you any experience with the genelecs 8330 or any 8 series, if so I would like to know your opinion between the A77X and the gens. Thanks.
