You, VT outdoors and tristar digging have inspired me. I am 64 and have had a long career in finance. Live in the Adirondack mountains. I've always craved working outdoors. Own a Cat 304, a tractor loader backhoe and have done side jobs here and there for 20 years. Want to go full time but don't want employees. I am going for it this year. :-)
BTW, I am of Scottish/Welsh descent. Can't understand all of what you say but getting the hang of it.
This is amazing. Do what makes you happy 😁😁
Nice new digger to add to he fleet, when your driving 6 wheelers when your turning you have to remember the point of turning is at the start of the rear axle, unless of course you have rear wheel steering. As a rule of thumb, if you're turning into a tight space take up as much of the road as you can, on the right hand side if turning left or left hand side if turn right.and move as far in front of you that the turning circle will allow before turning. You need to exaggerate your turn, that way the rear of the lorry will follow you around instead of it cutting the corner.
Thank you for your comment. However, I do know this I've been driving HGVs for 11 years and mainly this style ridges. It's a single road I am driving on so used all the road I possible could ☺
Liking the new digger, looks a capable machine. Love the old scania V8's - my uncle drove one for a farm on a bulk tipper when i was young and the sound was always amazing 👌
Something you’ll never forget I’m sure 😁
Just stumbled across this, like the content and your presentation style Amy ,a little bit different from my usual but have liked and subscribed so glad to be aboard and visiting Argyle in bonny Scotland 👍
Ahh amazing love this, thank you 😁
Great video again!! Love watching you Amy not only for the diggers but how upbeat and beautiful you are!! ❤
Super job the scania...look forward to seeing the project progress ...well done
Thank you!😊
A very good Monday morning to you all from Wellington Somerset in the UK
A proper 143! I've always liked the older 143's, pre Streamline, models because they still closely resemble the 142 my dad used to drive.
They are nice trucks 😍
Great video Amy . Love seeing the 143 scania content too. Brilliant keep up the good work and take care
Thank you 🤩
Hi digger girl yeah can’t wait to see more of the 143 great video keep them coming 👍
Glad you like the 143 😁
Good work and lovely looking girl
Hi Amy awesome video again thanks, don't doubt your ability to do things it's obvious your excellent at what you do. Take care out there and stay safe 👍.
Thank you so much, that comment means a lot 😁
Fantastic another page i can fallow you on only this time i get to see you're great work. Keep it up really look forward to the Future 🙂
Thank you so much!! A little more in detail here than other pages! Really appreciate the support 💜
Another fantastic vlog, cheers for letting us tag along!
Interesting to see all your wee machines run with steel tracks, I don't think I've seen any on less than 16t machines down here. Then again, with most of your work being on rocky ground, it's a logical choice.
Glad you’re enjoying my videos 🤩
Yea more soft wet hills, the rubber would be useless. However our Takeuchi that’s not yet been on my channels is on rubber 😁 thanks for watching 😄
Hey Amy. Great video as usual. Please do keep us updated on the 143. As you say, who doesn't love a V8!!!
Will do 😁😁
Great video Amy.👍👍👍
Greetings from Poland.
Great job running the mini excavator Amy
I like your new digger
What an amazing change, what a woman. Great content
Be brilliant to see the progress on the 143
Красава Эми🔥🌏👸
Наши парни с ума от ТЕБЯ сходят....
Ждём новых видео, и конечно же ТЕБЯ ❤️❤️❤️
Good work and looking lovely lady 👍
very good video you are so amazing you make my day 👍❤😊
The shear and grapple seem to work very well, an accumulator arm would be nice to have on it. I also saw you on another video with a sweeper, I've never seen one of those around here either. Keep smilin Amy
Thank you 😊
If that was rotating shears that would be a different level of sick 🤩🧡
Loving the vids Amy. Can't beat a lot of shorter snippets rolled in to a shortish vid for content. Keeps it interesting. 10/10 on the truck driving skills too. Thought you were gonna be fighting for traction driving the Scania out of there.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. Thank you so much for the support 😁
New excavator looks awesome Amy
Thank you 😁😁
Have a TMK on a KX80 and i love it a good strong shears also have a mulcher that makes quick work of that small brash
TMK seem to be getting a good name, i'll go check them out! Thank you 😁
How about an intermercato shears.
Rotating or non rotating and removable blade so you can also use as a grab.
Great to see the old 143 be a good truck when completed Amy. Great video how you liking the new machine? Show more on the 143 if poss to see the progress stay safe have a good week
So far so good with the new machine! Will do, whenever that may be 🤣 thank you, you have a great week also 😊
Great video Amy
Thank you, glad you enjoyed 😁
Nice video... but your sitting on the wrong side of the cab...I'm impressed with the setup that you have.
scania and volvo truck are the best
Great video Amy please keep us updated on the 143 the the videos coming
Will do 😁
Really you need to sit down with your dad and tell him that you could do with a static caravan to be put on your sight where you are working with the shears so that you can live on sight so that If it rains you won't have to leave your digger machine in a hurry an you could also do with some security lighting to brighten up the sight and it will give you a lot more safety while living in s static caravan at least you would be able to have your dog with you to give you a lot more safety and security
That's a big lorry on them roads anything bigger would be useless I come from Devon the other end of the country but our roads were just as bad
Yea it can be quite tight in places 😅
You have to be ruthless when you encounter vegetation overhanging the access like that. Just cut the branches and toss them to the side. The landowner cannot legitimately complain because the branches constitute a hazard, both to traffic and to any pedestrian who is passing by when a branch is broken off by a vehicle.
Hi if your still looking for a set of shears we have a set of KX shears which are really handy as don't have plates between the fingers off the grab which means smaller branches can fit in between them aswell as the the blades removable so you can just have a grab and if you want you can have a buncher attachment on it if you want + if there was 3 years warranty as standard when we got it if they still do that
Oh they sound interesting!
Nice Scania. Show us more, please.
Will do 😁
Ban là phụ nữ, mà quá giỏi, chúc bạn sức khỏe!
Great video! Have you ever tried Rico Europe for your service parts? I use them for all my filters, great ordering system and they’re hard to beat where price is concerned. Keep up the good content 🙂
Good video
Thank you William 😁
Love the content.
hi amy the only other decent tree sheers i know of are the TMK 300 as a all rounder TMK400 with a turbo ram for the bigger trees and 14 t machine hope this helps
Thank you for the recommendation alot of people have said TMK now, I must check them out 😊
👏
Hi there Amy, I have a question for you from way down here in Wellington NZ. I love the look of the new Kubota and I believe you said that it's a 6 ton machine so what size is the Kubota with your personal wrap on it, and I think it looks bloody great 🤗
Thank you for watching, the kubota with the wrap is a 8 tonne machine😁
Hey Amy love the videos huge fan, I’m a self employed operator supported by a small contractor outside Edinburgh but based in North East Fife myself, been very quiet myself any tips on looking for and contacting potential clients? Cheers
i had the 143 v8 tractor unit on a 89 (f reg)
Nice!! This was originally a tractor unit to of course 😁
Great video of the week amy. Will use be putting a rototilt on the 6 ton kubota?
Thank you! No plans to as of yet but you never know what the future might hold 😊
I got to be the 200th "like". Fun to see the numbers change. Won't be like that when ye're up in the thoosands.😁
Great to see yer subs going up each week.
Don't know how ye got around that hairpin. I'd have been cursing and puckering up in my LWB Transit, lol.
Do those shears have a cutting mechanism, or is it just grab and tear? If the former, would be curious to see how they work. Another enjoyable vlog! Cheers, Mark
Ahh thank you so much for the support!
They have a blade to cut also😁
Did you ever think of using hydraulic thumb they fold up tight to the stick and super useful in many situations sorry for the late comment catching up on all your videos
Have a look at the OMEF tree shear
Thank you for the recommendation 😁
I think I would have mulched that. Nice machine though.
Hi Amy could you do a video of what kit you have machines, lorries ect
Yes for sure, this is on my list 😁
@@the_digger_girl thanks can’t wait
Michael Cusack Smith yes
Hi Amy how long did it take for you to get to know the rototilt?
Hmm not too long, I was used to the tilt so just the Roto took a bit of time 😁
@@the_digger_girl I’m trying to convince my boss to get one as they make life a lot easier
If you love trucks you will love a 143 V8! Are you going to straight pipe the 143 or keep it standard?
It had stack on when we got it so they’ll be going back on and possibly a side pipe 💨
I noticed all your Mini's have steel tracks on them, do they have rubber tracks for them over there? :)
Our 8 tonne Takeuchi which hasn’t been on my channel yet is on rubber full time. We have a set of rubber for our 6 tonne and 8 tonne kubota to, they very rarely get put on, and our 8 tonne kobelco is Steel full time 😁 we need steel for the wet hills up here 😅🏴
@@the_digger_girl Interesting.. That makes sense :)
Amy why do you use the rigit instead of using sandy artic
Why the need for shears with all that wee bushy stuff? Would you just not scrape all back with a toothed bucket? Looks v slow with shears
There’s bigger trees in amongst it, it also cuts it all off at the roots to put through the chipper 😁
Do you know where the seat cover come from
We got it from our dealer at the time it came with the machine!😁
Do you ever think about a four wheel truck for those tight areas
We wouldn’t get much in weight wise 😊
@@the_digger_girl that’s true and looking at your driving I’d say you could get that 6 wheeler in places most 4 wheel drivers wouldn’t
Have a good Sunday Amy
Would a flail head not be a better job for that project? Not sure how many of these jobs you get to justify having one ?
Probably not enough to justify just now but we have been looking at them 😊
TMK are a good and good back up
Thank you for the recommendation 😁
Go have a look at dig84 on RUclips see how he got his shear set up on his volvo
Will do, thank you 😁
amy i enjoy u vidios what u get to tristan west wales
hey my name is kevin and i work at groenveld grijpers we are a small company in the netherlands we build everything for cranes and shovels and special equipment. I am currently engineering a collector arm for a shear. maybe we can arrange something
Nice, send me a email😁 dan@driventalent.co.uk
bonjour aurait tu une amie pour venir ici en france faire du bois avec moi 🌼🌼
Don't know why people rate kubota there tight for room in cab noisy hydrolics system are awful been driving diggers 40 years takeuchi are my choice for small diggers volvo for bigger stuff ,great videos sorry for negative comments
Everyone has their own opinions on machines which is totally normal. I personally like the Kobelco, biggest cab for a 8 tonne for sure😁
Well said takeuchi always tried both no trouble with takeuchi for seven years kubota major oil leak less than a 1000 hours
O and $ 2000 to put oil leak right what !
@@tonyking7741 Ahh nightmare, Thankfully we've had no major issues with any of our machines 😊
