Hello! I hope you're doing well. Thank you for providing and sharing your valuable SolidWorks tutorials on RUclips. I have a question about the base of the first forming tool you created. Why do we need to create an exact 50x5 mm shape and extrude it when any base volume seems sufficient, as we’ll be cutting it at the end anyway? I’d appreciate it if you could explain the reasoning behind this approach. Thank you!

Hola bue día, tengo un problema con el tutorial, no me es posible realizar la operacion de forming tool mencionada en el minuto 29:30; me aparece un cuadro de texto para insertar la pieza y la maneja como independiente; ya he probado algunas posibles soluciones; 1- cambiar de extención los archivos para agregarlos a la libreria; 2-desintalar y reinstalar nuevamente el software 2 veces; 3- reubicar la ruta de accesi a la libreria de diseño. Ojalá me pudieras ayudar, de verdad me interea mucho poder aprender esto que se aplica en el tutorial. Saludos desde México.
open the forming tool library drag the forming tool to the surface where you want to fix & it will show you a center point in forming tool you can just define the dimension.

Hi, My C-drive doesn't have program data folder. I have program files folder under C-drive & it is not showing solidworks 2020 version in it. Can you please tell some other way to save the forming tool?

right click design library
click Forming Tools Folder
select Yes in the dialogue box

yes its possible solidworks accepts many formats & you can convert it into DXF file for cutting,
