U try to sing after losing a child...u try to smile....its the hardest most gut wrenching things to do....the pain is immeasurable....kudos to Eddies beautiful wife for trying to sing thru the grief of losing a child....GOD bless them....
Yes love l know what you are saying, lost two precious baby girls within 5 months of each other and my heart bleeds for them ♥️ ❤️ 💖 💓 Yes I really Understand ❤️ everything you are saying ❤️
I spent lots of time hanging out with these very amazing people, just loved them both with all my heart ❤️ 💙 💜, and just think of all the wonderful things they done in their life's, absolutely UNBELIEVABLE is all you 💙 ❤️ can say about them 💔 Both!!!!!!!
@@GaryPatterson-e6g I hope his wife is doing well. Do you still communicate with her? This was so beautiful. I love seeing the love they shared put on display. God bless Eddie Rabbitt's family....
This is so touching. She lacked her husband's talent, but she clearly poured her heart into this song for him. I hope it's part of her treasured collection of memories of their time together.
He loves her so much. He didn't care what anyone thought. He could have gotten anyone to sing with him and he just loved her and knew how happy it would make her to sing. And she is cute as a button.
Eddie Rabbit should be in the hall of fame. its so sad that its been 20+ yrs . and he's not in there yet. by the way i like the video. that just show how much they love each other.
If there was any doubt, then this clears it up. Eddie Rabbitt was an absolute prince. He did that for her, with zero fucks given about how it made him look as a high level professional talent. That is love.
I am watching this for the second time and I am smiling again because it's so precious! What courage it took for a non professional singer to perform for a national audience. A class move by Eddie and I'll bet she is still Mrs. Eddie Rabbitt.
Eddie was a gentleman and great artist I got a chance to work with on several occasions. I am sad that he is gone, and I thought that this was something that people might enjoy seeing and hearing. What a gentleman for letting his wife sing with him. He obviously loved her very much!
The first time I went to Nashville in 1993 trying to make it appearing on "To Be a Star" at Opryland USA, everyone thought I was Eddie. I grew a beard and had hair just like his. Even Tracy Lawrence stopped me in a club downtown and thought I was Eddie. Tracy and I ended up talking for a few hours. thanks Eddie) I miss REAL country. I have and will continue to do my part in bringing traditional country music to the people.
DIRKWORKS2 You were fortunate to work with him,he was a gentleman and never broke a promise! I had to have Eddie phone in and tell Jimmy Hall I had the studio 24/7 for three days!
Eddie was a wonderful man, husband and father. Through tragedy losing their son at 2 years of age, then coming back, he just soared above it all. He loved Janine so much, a faithful and loving husband. This was so good of him! I love all his music...I miss him. Gone way too soon. :(
She's not a great singer like Eddie, but they are such a sweet couple and so obviously in love. Loved this. Kudos to her for her effort in joining her husband who is one of the greatest performers that ever lived.
She had hutzpah singing with her husband, that's for sure. I think she's probably a better singer than I am, though. Thought this was great, because I could actually see LOVE between them.
For everyone poking fun at Janine Rabbitt's voice - she is pregnant here, with their second son, following the death of #1 son Timmy at 2 years of age. I think it is amazing that she agreed to sing this song with her husband, being pregnant, and knowing her voice didn't match up with his or Juice Newton's, with whom Eddie had the hit song. And also not being the teeny size she was. I think it is extremely romantic that these two who suffered terribly after Timmy died, that they are singing together with such emotion. So please don't criticize her voice. She was a hero to agree to sing with Eddie when Juice Newton didn't show up.
Nice man,he rented The Garage to me in 84 and he gave me a great price! He was so nice and easy to meet, I would have loved to hear the song that was on the piano in the front room!
That took GUTS on her part! It's absolutely PRECIOUS though. I know she had a belly dancing tape so her specialty is fitness & his was the singing. Bless BOTH their hearts...xo
thanks for posting this,I just found it.what a great couple they were,Eddie knew how to treat his lady, she looks so happy.rip Eddie,a damn good man taken much to early.
I wanted to be his wife!!! This brought tears to my eyes. They are such a cute couple, and you can see how much he loves her. Reminds me, kind of me and my husband. He's tall, and I'm short. Just like Betty Boop said in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", "What a lucky goil."
I am Argentine 🇦🇷 I discovered this song by Eddie with his wife, it moved me and a tear fell down. I just found out that they had lost their first child and yet, pregnant with their second, she had the strength to sing with her love. I was introduced to Eddie Rabbitt music by a neighbor who loves country music, and he also has a resemblance in his eyes. Despite having a different culture from that of the United States, we have similarities with your country, since Argentina grew and developed thanks to immigrants who came mainly from Europe; just like Eddie, he was also the son of immigrants, because his mother was Irish.
He loved her and it is obvious by this adorable video. She was a nice person, like he was... and it's truly a shame that they suffered such tragedy by the loss of their son and then Eddie's cancer diagnosis and early death. So sad.
That was theeeee SWEETEST! Thank you so much for posting! Love vibes between them warmed my heart, over all the miles and turnings of the sun. weep, weep....
Thank you Janine for your love to one of the best men in all of time. My favorite. I am in a campaign to get him in the hall of fame. Touring myself to do that. I would give up several of my concerts to have seen one of his. Paula. Lucky you. I am sorry for you though. There is evil in the world and you are a part of that. I am not the judge, but you are going to burn for that comment.
Colin Sumpter This is to Paula R.& Valerie: Eddie didn't have to level with anybody or apologize for his wife. He knew her capabilities. He loved her and she probably was very nervous. Two humble: loving people. HE DIDN'T LOVE HER BECAUSE SHE COULD OR COULD NOT SING! Get it? Get over yourselves.
GOOD LORD! Are you people that's bitchin about her voice completely soulless??? This is about REAL TRUE LOVE. SHE HAS HIS CHILD INSIDE HER IN THIS FOOTAGE. This has got to be one of the MOST beautiful videos I've ever seen!
I asked ED why she was going to do it,he said if she's got the balls to do it, i want her to do it. He was a good friend and boss to me so kiss my ass!
Life is short Eddie has passed away, and his wife has had to let him go and move on, and guess what ?we are all in the same boat. But today you can respect the dead and honor the love that two people had for each other, if you can’t do that, shut your trap.
Went to Nashville just after Vietnam War and I was trying to place some songs, met The Eddie Rabbit's wife, she really liked my songs, so she calls Her amazing Husband and told him she wanted him to check my songs out, he comes running in office wanting to hear my songs 🎵, He wanted to hear everything l had and since most of my songs deal with prison he told me to see Johnny Cash with these songs and write him some different songs not about prison, l found that this was truly an amazing person, and he and his wife was very kind to me, they both allowed myself to hangout with them in their Office in Nashville!!!!!! Was so excited about this and very honored these amazing people liked myself, Miss them both every day of my life ❤️ God must have them with him NOW ❤️
I know this is old news, but Paula your comment is awful!at least she got on stage and tried,I thought she did fine for a non professional. Eddie loved her for who she is and that is all that matters to me.you are sick and evil, really pissed me off with your comment, bet you can't sing nor have the guts to get on stage! I'm gonna stop before I cuss you out, which I don't need to be cussing a lady.but oh you came so close to making me call you some bad words!!!
What a lovely duet! ! Love just radiates on their faces.
U try to sing after losing a child...u try to smile....its the hardest most gut wrenching things to do....the pain is immeasurable....kudos to Eddies beautiful wife for trying to sing thru the grief of losing a child....GOD bless them....
You can see pure love with them, despite the incredible stress they were under.
Yes love l know what you are saying, lost two precious baby girls within 5 months of each other and my heart bleeds for them ♥️ ❤️ 💖 💓 Yes I really Understand ❤️ everything you are saying ❤️

I love it when a song is sung from the heart... What a sweet couple! Timeless song!
He loves her so much. He didn't care what anyone thought. He could have gotten anyone to sing with him and he just loved her and knew how happy it would make her to sing. And she is cute as a button.

I was thinking the same thing why isn't he in the Hall of Fame
I have written and complained to them asking why isn't Eddie in the Hall of Fame.
This is a precious memory for her and their children now that he is gone.Their mom and dad young and beautiful forever.
Very sweet. ❤ I remember this song from my childhood in the 80's
If there was any doubt, then this clears it up. Eddie Rabbitt was an absolute prince. He did that for her, with zero fucks given about how it made him look as a high level professional talent. That is love.
Her smile at the end was one of complete happiness and love. What a beautiful couple in every way.

During the 80's I seen Willie Nelson exact look a like who was out on the singing circuit, i was crush that it really wasnt willie....
DIRKWORKS2 thank you man your work is much appreciated

Wes Hunter Eddie was great,Tracey is a hoot!
It's lovely to see husband and wife singing. That will always be a nice memory. Nice she helped her husband out when he's in a bit of a spot.
Eddy Rabbitt is missed so young. Talented..loved his music ❤❤❤😢😢
Eddie was a wonderful man, husband and father. Through tragedy losing their son at 2 years of age, then coming back, he just soared above it all. He loved Janine so much, a faithful and loving husband. This was so good of him! I love all his music...I miss him. Gone way too soon. :(

His wife has more guts being up there than anybody who is saying negative things about her.
🙏🙏💕💐💐🙏🙏
You can see the love and chemistry between them. So sad Eddie is no longer producing such beautiful music.....
How much better could any love get.

I agree.

A woman of substance style and grace a lady
She still sound bad tho😂😂😂😂.
Marilee Judith Thank you so much for explaining that. If we knew 10% more about what folks have endured, we would be less judgmental.
I really did like seeing them 2gether you could see how much they loved eachother
Bet she looks back and she is so proud of herself for singing every note. Something's are priceless
Beautiful couple. You can see the love they have for each other. ❤
Beautiful! They loved each other. Yes she was making a "beautiful" noise. This moment was special for Eddie to let her on the stage.

Beautiful song. Lovely people.
Not often the world is treated to a love song performed by people who are truly in love!!!
They did great in this song, you can feel the love between them.
You can see how much they love each other. She did a pretty good job with singing. You could hear the nerves in her voice. They make a great couple..

His wife is really a wife.
