I’ll go with the under the ocean base because the explosion which will just not work and water and also underwater is way deeper than above ground
I actually made an underwater base in multicraft and filled the interior wth sponges so the water wouldn’t come in
And water is also something that protects from radiation.

If only Obsidian was as strong in real life as it is in Minecraft.
I would make a nuclear base hundreds of meters underground. It would be first covered by 1 meter thick steel doors. Then there would be a 5 inch thick layer of lead because lead helps keep out radiation. I would also have a small chamber in case of extreme bunker damage where I can sit and wait out the nuke explosions and everything else thats going to happen. There will be a hazmat suit cleaning station which would mean that I could stay in a hazmat suit without getting a high dose of radiation if the previous suit is full of it.

The title of this video should of been building nuclear bases and dropping nukes on them.
I would have the first layer made of obsidion and the next of bed rock and then have a under ground base with a house made of bedrock and have a chest fill of health kits and food.

The reason the obsidian broke is because obsidian is actually not unbreakable with tnt it just have a very high health against tnt
bedrock is better because it has 18,000,000 blast resistance

The water becomes deadly not because of radiation hitting human skin (unless if the nuke hit a couple of weeks ago) the water becomes deadly because if you are exhausted you would probably accidentally slurp the radioactive water and die from radiation poisoning

I would build a fully bedrock base with parts located in different areas of the world not exit with layers of obsidian and more bedrock and command blocks that will teleport you to different areas of the base

A bedrock base with a bed and food with enchanted apples. Good tools with enchanted things then food sorce and some water with an obsession door.
I'll go to the ocean and build an underground base there
500 by 500 block castle out of obsidian as well as a wall, traps, and other defenses and I would place a nuke under it just in case the fortress gets breached
And I would build a base out of bedrock about 300 blocks away from the main castle and I would have a bunker that is down to the bedrock to withstand said nuke
