Yeah in spanish "forget me" would literally mean forget all the memories you have about me, forget I exist, which is kinda weird. The actual meaning is more like "don't worry about me" or "don't think about me, focus on what you have to do". "Leave me here" translates more directly to that in Spanish, and it's a more natural thing to say (not like we say it daily lmao).
