I tested stable diffusion. Entering the exact same prompt multiple times it always produces the same image. U have to change the seed factor and then the outcome will be different. So is AI an algorithm (although unthinkably complex, but still) something that will always produce the same result, unless you have some kind of changing seed, that emulates a kind of randomness, because in algorithms there simply is no randomness? It doesn’t exist. And that’s the difference to humans. Basically, it all boils down to the ultimate question: What is creativity? And can it be at the heart of an AI system? Right now, ALL AI systems are trained to things that already exist, so it only reproduces the past. The question is, how do we humans create new things? How do REALLY new things come into existence?
