War of Y is very recommended. The story is a bout behind-the-scene of Thai BL industry. It has 20 episodes with 4 couples. So each couple will have 5 episodes to tell their story. First couple's story has ended. And man dare I say it made me think a lot about Thai BL series stereotypes in general. And the facts that some part of the problems are actually based on true story. It's similar with Call it what You Want. Storyline? Check Scriptwriting? Check Chemistry? Check Acting quality? Check imo one of the best BL series I've ever watch.
Old Fashion Cupcake was really cute! Something In My Room is probably good if you pay for the Channel 3 Plus subscription and get the uncut episodes. Watching the cut ones on their RUclips left out chunks of the plot.
180 Degrees Longitude and Old Fashion Cupcake are like the flip sides of a coin. 180 deals with the trauma many characters have, explores the feeling of what it means to fall in love and is just so theatrical in both its scenes and dialogues. Whereas Cupcake deals with the same issues of internalized demons and exploring the feeling of love but it does so in a soft, almost domestic feel without any third character or tension between them.
YOU HAVE TO WATCH „180 DEGREE LONGITUDE PASSES THROUGH US” CAUSE ITS SOOOO GOOOD!!! it’s not a typical bl, it goes waaaay beyond that and has a formula that feels more like a stage play rather than tv series including the dialogues and the camerawork therefore it feels more like a queer movie genre, overall the show has a very strong artistic feel to it with a breathtaking cinematography and excellent acting performances so i highly recommend i checking it out❤️👏 and i know a lot of ppl after watching the trailer get confused abt the nature of Inn’s and Wang’s relationship but just to clear things up- HE IS NOT HIS BIOLOGICAL UNCLE, he’s his late father’s and mom’s bestie from college so not related in any other way and as a result it’s his mom that introduces Inn as his “uncle”, im not gonna spoil more cause the plot is still evolving so let’s just stop here and prepare for the climax in the upcoming eps cause so far the storyline and character dynamics are insaneee

180 Degree is on another level of series. It was made by a theater director I think and it is such a cinematic masterpiece. It is so much more than bl, it is about the characters and their struggle, love is a by product of the time characters share. It highly recommend it because it will actually make you invested and relate to characters.

WTAF I DONT EVEN WATch ongoing series but i couldnt hold off with this one tbh 😭 GOOD TIMES 😌😌😌 it was THE rom-com BL of this year and ive yet to see one that will top this. it gave so much Fish Upon The Sky vibes in that it was crazy, exaggerated over the top but it was so soooo good. an instant classic. did i already say this series had everything?!?? 😂 i kept thinking while watching it back then how you’d react to the absolute crazy of this show (and all the steamy scenes *coughs*)... if you’d drop it bc a lot of ppl thought Toh‘s sasaeng behavior was too much. but so many said that they’re glad they didnt bc further on the story they’ll tackle why he is. and there’s a lot of depth and issues brought out in the storyline. just a few worth mentioning: body insecurities, exploration of the wide gender spectrum (there’s a trans character here btw Daisyyy.😍) and the GL cp they launched here as well which is supposed to have a spin-off story. im so sorry for this novel of a comment but this is my last-ditch effort to rec it to you but i know ur already busy and the amount of BL theyre churning out there right now like you said is insane. but i hope some day u get to watch this too 😭❤️
Many new bl seek the escalation of taboos, sadomasochism, incest, the unprofessional relations psychiatrist patient etc. Sadly, it is what is currently working. Already some scenes from the KinnPorshe series bothered me and when I said it I was criticized in the comments replies (on another platform). I like bl series since almost their beginning (The Eclipse, About Youth, Heart Stopper, Make our Days Count, I Told the Sunset about you, Meet me outside and so many others) and I know that we can tell perfect stories without going through the escalation of shocking scenes. Yeah I know I am vanilla (so stupid term) and I'm proud of it.
First of all, those series you mentioned aren't even close to being the "beginning" and secondly, you saying that is what is currently working overlooks the entire genre of Korean and Japanese bl. Darker and intimate things might be prevalent in Thai bl currently but that is not entirely because that's what is working, it's partly because Thai bl has already explored vanilla storylines. You can have your vanilla preference and be proud of it (weird but okay) but they have just as much right to enjoy their dark elements. They don't need ppl like you criticizing a damn MAFIA story (like what the hell did you actually expect from it?)
@@alishakay I watch bl for about 10 or 12 years and I choose some recent drama for exemple, that all, no need to be so contemptuous. I don't mind some dark elements but the problem is in the one-upmanship, to stand out producers and screenwriter will have to always go further and it is harmful for everyone, including and especially the actors. One of the new series is going to tackle this kind of concern it seems (War of Y) we will be able to see there what the actors are obliged to do to stand out and obtain fame, whether or not they agree with what is asked of them. But the problem is not there I suppose, it is mainly because I dared to say that certain scenes of KinnPorshe were to vomit. 😱 What did I expect? Violence, trafficking, murders but curiously not sadomasochistic torture scenes that never end. But hey, I chose this drama to take a recent one as an example, there are others that are just as problematic in terms of consent and violence, it should not be taken as an attack on this drama in particular which apart from certain scenes is very good. Please raise the debate.

All these series but no love mechanics trailer reaction!!☹️ it’s completed it just finished airing like last month I think they remade their 2020 version and their acting, storyline and chemistry is just 1000000x more improved.. their story started off with something HORRIBLE but they actually touch up on how the other party felt which is something you normally don’t see so it’s rlly heartbreaking to see,, their story is rlly messy if ur into that . They are a couple that are also going to be in Club Sapan Fine 2 that are starring gun, ohm, off & up !!

I would def recommend: - 180 degrees longitude (beautiful cinematography, the story is well thought out and we have complex characters..I really like this so far) - my only 12% (good portrayal of friendship and realizing your feelings for a friend/realizing your sexuality) - old fashion cupcake (I love to see more mature characters as the protagonists for a change, also 👌 acting) - war of y (we haven’t seen all of the stories, but I like their critical approach of the industry. Some dialogues seemed a bit cringe to me tho)
my only 12% is actually so cute and realistic, the plot is pretty simple but the acting, the chemistry and cinematography make it feel so special and relatable
From these trailers, i could recommend 2 series: 1. Secret crush on you is one of the best BL in 2022. The first and second couple chemistry is great and cute, and also they have such a wondeful and supportive friend / gang.. But, you must stand "Toh" behaviour (he like to collecting such a creepy stuff).. And Saint is the executive producer and also guest star here.. 2. Something in my room is good, realistic, emotional and kind of sad but worth to watch. Their chemistry is good and the story plot is different from usual Thai BL series. Please watch the full version of it to understand the background and whole plot in this series..
I'll like to recommend these bls: Old fashioned Cupcake, Minato's shouji Coin Laundry, Heart Magic, Mr. Unlucky has no choice but to kiss, and Takara Kun and Amagi Kun( That brings a lot of My Mixed up Love). All of these a very cute, lively and funny bls to watch.
My personal recommendation (Just stating some that I watched): Old Fashion Cupcake - oh my god short but so cute! Definitely worth watching~ War of Y - P'Cheewin's work. Reveals the darkness of the Y industry, there are a few stories (each 5EPS) and BillySeng (Main couple of Secret Crush on You) is in the 1st story. There's 2 more stories including Gung&Korn (From Y Destiny), First&Toru (From Y Destiny). Secret Crush on You - Saint involve in the production~ P'Cheewin's work~ It's cringey sometimes but it's just so addictive and mentioned a lot of issue. IMO Billy & Seng have great chemistry. My Secret Love - Ohhhhh I love all 3 couples especially the one that secretly dating! Overall very cute, fun, fluffy and I love it, with nice BGM sang by JEFF SATURRRRRRR. 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us - Such good acting, cinematic, songs... But still need more on the story tho cause just EP4 atm. Not biological Uncle btw, they're not related. Inn is just Wang's late father's friend. My 12% - P'New's work~ Santa PP have such good chemistry and their acting is so natural! Setting is in the olden days so you can see some nostalgic props such as the egg machine, MSN, flip phone that run out of storage and you have to delete your inbox from your crush ;_; Love In the Air - From Mame's novel (combination of 2 books - Love Storm and Love Sky)... So you know... The guys and NC scenes is gonna be hot... but some of the characters' actions are controversial. But so far I'm finding it interesting especially the side couple Praphai&Sky from Love Sky (I read the novel). Not to mention Peat is just so so so handsome and beautiful (I'm whipped for him) Not recommended: Physical Therapy - So bad I couldn't finish watching it... And I have a good tolerance and forgiving towards small production... But I just don't feel they put effort into making this show.
I`ve seen most of those, some will be only later this year or next year. Seeing all the trailers together highlighted for me one who I have seen all twice already and some scenes up to 10 times - it`s vietnamese "Mr. Cinderella". It opened my eyes to vietnamese BL`s and I`m binge watching most from that particular company. Also I liked korean "First love again" because of the plot. And from recent series I can recommend "Love in the air". Also you need to check out "Love mechanics" - it`s very good!
*Secret Crush on You:* as unhinged as YYY *My Secret Love:* has one of the best if not THE BEST couple in an LTR *Old Fashion Cupcake:* really sweet and it's great to see men (especially older men) navigate love Those are the ones I've watched.

Actually I quite like the series because it DOESN'T include normalising/romanticizing of SA scenes for once (surprising for MAME aha). Like literally every time Payu goes to do something and Rain says or shows he's uncomfortable with it, Payu stops and just teases Rain instead. I do prefer Vice Versa and Eclipse in general because I'm more attached to the actors and I love GMMTVs works but yeah, I do like this show and the fact it's different from MAMEs other stuff.

My thoughts: War of Y has been interesting so far. Unforgotten night is misleading, seems we will get a a bdsm sexy story, but that scene is basically the only one. Mr. Cinderella has some cringy stuff, but I watched it all, I liked the actors. It had absolutely EVERYTHING. first off, the comedy was top-notch the best ive seen in a while. and the chemistry of BillySeng was smoking hot. this was their first before being launched in War of Y btw, but i have to say i liked them here so much more 😭 you just have to realize how good this show really is, everyobe stayed up waiting for the episode drop every Friday night at like 2AM HERE!! WTAF I DONT EVEN WATch ongoing series but i couldnt hold off with this one tbh 😭 GOOD TIMES 😌😌😌
it was THE rom-com BL of this year and ive yet to see one that will top this. it gave so much Fish Upon The Sky vibes in that it was crazy, exaggerated over the top but it was so soooo good. an instant classic. did i already say this series had everything?!?? 😂 i kept thinking while watching it back then how you’d react to the absolute crazy of this show (and all the steamy scenes *coughs*)... if you’d drop it bc a lot of ppl thought Toh‘s sasaeng behavior was too much. but so many said that they’re glad they didnt bc further on the story they’ll tackle why he is. and there’s a lot of depth and issues brought out in the storyline. just a few worth mentioning: body insecurities, exploration of the wide gender spectrum (there’s a trans character here btw Daisyyy.😍) and the GL cp they launched here as well which is supposed to have a spin-off story.

Many new bl seek the escalation of taboos, sadomasochism, incest, the unprofessional relations psychiatrist patient etc. Sadly, it is what is currently working. Already some scenes from the KinnPorshe series bothered me and when I said it I was criticized in the comments replies (on another platform). I like bl series since almost their beginning (The Eclipse, About Youth, Heart Stopper, Make our Days Count, I Told the Sunset about you, Meet me outside and so many others) and I know that we can tell perfect stories without going through the escalation of shocking scenes. Yeah I know I am vanilla (so stupid term) and I'm proud of it.
First of all, those series you mentioned aren't even close to being the "beginning" and secondly, you saying that is what is currently working overlooks the entire genre of Korean and Japanese bl. Darker and intimate things might be prevalent in Thai bl currently but that is not entirely because that's what is working, it's partly because Thai bl has already explored vanilla storylines.
You can have your vanilla preference and be proud of it (weird but okay) but they have just as much right to enjoy their dark elements. They don't need ppl like you criticizing a damn MAFIA story (like what the hell did you actually expect from it?)
@@alishakay I watch bl for about 10 or 12 years and I choose some recent drama for exemple, that all, no need to be so contemptuous.
I don't mind some dark elements but the problem is in the one-upmanship, to stand out producers and screenwriter will have to always go further and it is harmful for everyone, including and especially the actors.
One of the new series is going to tackle this kind of concern it seems (War of Y) we will be able to see there what the actors are obliged to do to stand out and obtain fame, whether or not they agree with what is asked of them.
But the problem is not there I suppose, it is mainly because I dared to say that certain scenes of KinnPorshe were to vomit. 😱
What did I expect? Violence, trafficking, murders but curiously not sadomasochistic torture scenes that never end.
But hey, I chose this drama to take a recent one as an example, there are others that are just as problematic in terms of consent and violence, it should not be taken as an attack on this drama in particular which apart from certain scenes is very good. Please raise the debate.

All these series but no love mechanics trailer reaction!!☹️ it’s completed it just finished airing like last month I think they remade their 2020 version and their acting, storyline and chemistry is just 1000000x more improved.. their story started off with something HORRIBLE but they actually touch up on how the other party felt which is something you normally don’t see so it’s rlly heartbreaking to see,, their story is rlly messy if ur into that . They are a couple that are also going to be in Club Sapan Fine 2 that are starring gun, ohm, off & up !!

180 degree has been surprisingly layered and symbolic. No cap. I loved it
I would def recommend:
- 180 degrees longitude (beautiful cinematography, the story is well thought out and we have complex characters..I really like this so far)
- my only 12% (good portrayal of friendship and realizing your feelings for a friend/realizing your sexuality)
- old fashion cupcake (I love to see more mature characters as the protagonists for a change, also 👌 acting)
- war of y (we haven’t seen all of the stories, but I like their critical approach of the industry. Some dialogues seemed a bit cringe to me tho)

From these trailers, i could recommend 2 series:
1. Secret crush on you is one of the best BL in 2022. The first and second couple chemistry is great and cute, and also they have such a wondeful and supportive friend / gang.. But, you must stand "Toh" behaviour (he like to collecting such a creepy stuff).. And Saint is the executive producer and also guest star here..
2. Something in my room is good, realistic, emotional and kind of sad but worth to watch. Their chemistry is good and the story plot is different from usual Thai BL series. Please watch the full version of it to understand the background and whole plot in this series..
I prefer war of y than SCOY. War of y is much better example of billyseng chemistry and talent

My personal recommendation (Just stating some that I watched):
Old Fashion Cupcake - oh my god short but so cute! Definitely worth watching~
War of Y - P'Cheewin's work. Reveals the darkness of the Y industry, there are a few stories (each 5EPS) and BillySeng (Main couple of Secret Crush on You) is in the 1st story. There's 2 more stories including Gung&Korn (From Y Destiny), First&Toru (From Y Destiny).
Secret Crush on You - Saint involve in the production~ P'Cheewin's work~ It's cringey sometimes but it's just so addictive and mentioned a lot of issue. IMO Billy & Seng have great chemistry.
My Secret Love - Ohhhhh I love all 3 couples especially the one that secretly dating! Overall very cute, fun, fluffy and I love it, with nice BGM sang by JEFF SATURRRRRRR.
180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us - Such good acting, cinematic, songs... But still need more on the story tho cause just EP4 atm. Not biological Uncle btw, they're not related. Inn is just Wang's late father's friend.
My 12% - P'New's work~ Santa PP have such good chemistry and their acting is so natural! Setting is in the olden days so you can see some nostalgic props such as the egg machine, MSN, flip phone that run out of storage and you have to delete your inbox from your crush ;_;
Love In the Air - From Mame's novel (combination of 2 books - Love Storm and Love Sky)... So you know... The guys and NC scenes is gonna be hot... but some of the characters' actions are controversial. But so far I'm finding it interesting especially the side couple Praphai&Sky from Love Sky (I read the novel). Not to mention Peat is just so so so handsome and beautiful (I'm whipped for him)
Not recommended:
Physical Therapy - So bad I couldn't finish watching it... And I have a good tolerance and forgiving towards small production... But I just don't feel they put effort into making this show.
I`ve seen most of those, some will be only later this year or next year. Seeing all the trailers together highlighted for me one who I have seen all twice already and some scenes up to 10 times - it`s vietnamese "Mr. Cinderella". It opened my eyes to vietnamese BL`s and I`m binge watching most from that particular company. Also I liked korean "First love again" because of the plot. And from recent series I can recommend "Love in the air". Also you need to check out "Love mechanics" - it`s very good!

Btw I know there’s a lot of comments recommending “Love In The Air” but it’s by MAME ☹️ the first two episodes contain a lot of uncomfortable SA scenes that are overlooked and forced into a “gay panic” type of story so I really don’t know why people are acting like this drama is better than vice versa and eclipse 😭😭 I really don’t recommend it! It’s tharntype all over again

Actually I quite like the series because it DOESN'T include normalising/romanticizing of SA scenes for once (surprising for MAME aha). Like literally every time Payu goes to do something and Rain says or shows he's uncomfortable with it, Payu stops and just teases Rain instead.
I do prefer Vice Versa and Eclipse in general because I'm more attached to the actors and I love GMMTVs works but yeah, I do like this show and the fact it's different from MAMEs other stuff.

My thoughts: War of Y has been interesting so far. Unforgotten night is misleading, seems we will get a a bdsm sexy story, but that scene is basically the only one. Mr. Cinderella has some cringy stuff, but I watched it all, I liked the actors.
