We should not move the lawn or use noisy tools outside if living in a neighborhood, though more and more people do this as well. Food purchasing is a very annual thing for us…last month I spent only $250 on food but then in summer I might spend $2000 in a month on bulk produce and other things. What I can tell you is what we dont buy- 99% of our meat or dairy, and we grow or buy bulk and preserve at least 50% of our fruit and 75% of our vegetables. I spent $2000 on a bulk grain order a year ago, so I’ve hardly had to buy anything for baking bread and such since then and won't for probably another year. Apple weather is not good. 😣 I have had it say one thing for a week, then as soon as it comes to the day I made plans, poof. Something different. Not reliable at all, it can only tell you the current weather. 😂
Wow that was a lot of excusing for how you live your life. I'd say people who critize you for how you live your faith are no Christians. Live and let live. Love your fellow man.
I could write so many comments about this video. I never knew cheese making was such a science and art until watching your videos. I enjoy all of your videos. If we had our own bees I might do the honey and lemon. But honey is very expensive here. Your comment on the Sabbath made me think a viewer was very forthright with their opinions. I have never been good about observing a resting Sabbath even though I know it is Biblical. I don't enjoy sitting around all day after church.
Im going to throw this out there because I have a contamination phobia. If your family is not feeling well, why are you making cheese? Or anything that has a process to it? Just asking, no judgment.
Valid question- i dont do any food prep beyond what we eat that day and especially not for others if im sick or someone else in house has bad virus. The unwell people were not contagious. I was many days post stomach bug just tired from not sleeping. Among other things for other people, Marius inhaled old insulation and it made him very sick.
I tell you if there’s one thing that I have taken away from your videos(but way more than one thing) is do not get a cow until you have all sorts of things ready. And a real reality check about how you are going to be tied to that cow big-time! I know the Lord is giving us a really beautiful farm in Florida. I am definitely going to get a couple milking cows and some goats. But we are in a position where I will also be hiring a on property employee. One because we’ll be living every other week in South Carolina and Florida the next. So obviously I couldn’t get a milking cow until then. But now I’m like yeah they are going to suck the life out of us those milking cows.😂 But in a good way also!
Hahahaha it is somewhat true that they can take up a huge amount of time, but more so because it's every day of the year! We get in a rhythm and it just feels part of life for us. It will be interesting for you to have a week on/week off situation. You will definitely need that property employee. I'm glad I've been able to impart the reality of owning a milk cow, but hopefully also the joy of it too. All the bests for your new adventures in farming! (Sorry for the delay in my response.)
