Fantastic video showing the steps of rigging the deadeyes. Why do you paint the ropes instead of using the color you want? Seems like more work than you need to do over a little bit of strings. Just curious. Excellent videos! I have been subscribed and watching for a long time now!
Because the amati rope that i prefer to use is a bit too clean for the look i want and there no other colours to choose from

only if i wanted to have the rigging fully dark, because i'm going for a weathered look, and a look that tar is not beeing kept properly, i'm not "applying the tar" to all the rigging only, i'm leaving some spots without the tar, so i need to do it with the rigging in place
