- As with all good things, The Good Place must come to an end. After four seasons, the critically-acclaimed Kristen Bell starrer will air its last episode on January 30; and with it, beloved characters like Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Janet will take their final bow. The one we'll miss the most? Jason Mendoza, played by Manny Jacinto (and his perfect cheekbones). For our latest installment of #ThirstTrap, Manny talks his final #TheGoodPlace scene, what he'll miss most about the show, and the person he'd spend eternity with, fiancée Dianne Doan.

it's so cool that he shared something that's actually embarrassing not "cute embarrassing" then said we shouldn't get down about those things.
His first answer breaks my heart. It's true because not a lot of struggling actors have their own platforms to get another job after one has ended. Unlike Kristen Bell who is a huge star. Actors like Manny Jacinto, Jameela and William Jackson Harper rarely got any backups. They literally would do anything to get a role. Even Manny got a small in El Royale film and probably a small role again in upcoming Top Gun film. Hopefully, someone will notice their talents and take them in. I really wish Manny would be in Marvel though.
Adam Azri i mean William Jackson Harper is doing well for himself. He got pretty much a lead role in Midsommar and I just saw him in a trailer for another movie. Jameela already had a career for herself in the UK so she can go back and be even more successful than when she left. They’ll probably give her, her own talk show on English tv.

Jameela will be fine. She does alot (maybe too much) outside of acting. But I get the sentiment
William got a role for the movie Dark Waters already lol, but I hope Jameela finds another good role for her because she is an amazing actress

Honestly, that first answer about finances is real as hell and I respect him for it. We think the actors on our favorite shows will be famous forever, but there's a reason why they call it a "working actor," you gotta be hustling to get more work, and getting a network show, much less one that lasts multiple seasons is a small miracle. So I respect the hell out of Manny for saying "Yeah, you know what I loved about 'The Good Place'? Steady paychecks."

I think that is one of the problems in Hollywood (or the entertainment industry in general); it's very easy to become typecast, especially if you're known for a certain role. Take Robin Williams - he's great at doing dramatic roles, but he had to fight for it; he was just so great at comedy, as well as physical comedy, and that that's what he was typecast as. I loved him as Mork in Mork & Mindy and he played the character really well. He had that comedic timing, too. However, I think that show was kind of a curse, as that's what everyone wanted him to play, or something like it, and make people laugh, whereas he wanted to show his serious acting chops and that he was more than just a comedic act, so to speak. That's what I think, anyway.

We all want a friend like Jason
Each human character seems to have fulfilled a role and strength in the show except for Eleanor because she's our reference point of view:
Chidi is the analyst. He's the one that is in charge of thinking everything and ultimately in charge of fixing everything.
Tahani is the enciclopedic. She represents culture and embodies the combined knowledge of human culture.
Jason is the one with the biggest emotional intelligence, by far. This is why he has never had trouble expressing how he feels or saying what he wants. This is also why he is the first one to be at peace with the world, and the first one to feel his existence in the universe as fulfilled and be ready to leave.

@@arturofernandez4058 ohhh no chidi is definitely not in charge lol. He has grown but his character barely able to make decisions for himself let alone others. He has the brains and able to map out a solution but Eleanor is the one carrying it out. Eleanor is the leader

I really REALLY loved the fact that he drank the whole drink when he did not answer questions. Most celebrities just take a little sip and puts the drink back. He drank the whole glass no matter how bad it tastes. this is how you play this game.

I can't explain it there's something about his face combined with his sweet personality... even the tone of his voice is soothing.
