tommy the oddball, swampy mcgee, baby jeebus... i keep hearing this names on patreon shoutouts in cedh channels. these guys must really love cedh if they donate consistently every week on multiple channels.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I always feel like Dylan gets targeted hard every game. So to see him win is always a "hell yeah" feeling, even when Cameron is playing my favorite colors constantly lol. I really enjoy this channel, I started playing magic in February and this channel has drastically helped me understand the subtle cards (when paired with certain cards) can cause drastic changes in the game. But the biggest thing this channel has helped me deal with is dealing with my shit getting countered, especially when I'm just trying to get in the game (I.E when Tyler MM Cameron's BOP) I would've flipped my shit if that happened to me just last month lol
I think Cams game shows how important it can be to have a value engine in the Command Zone? He played his commanders super early however he had no gas left and no way to draw cards
Exactly my experience when I tried out Jeska/Ikra and Rog/Ikra. Some games they just did nothing at all, didn't help me gain card advantage or anything. Now I always try to use either Kraum or Tymna so at least one partner can help me draw cards and gain advantage. Works way better for me!
Small complaint but would like to see a bit more attention paid to proper resolution of triggers, specifically when Dylan resolves a Mistblade Shinobi trigger along with a couple yuriko triggers. Although he places the yuriko triggers on top of the shinobi trigger, he is still required to choose the target prior to resolving any triggers, as it’s a requirement of placing the trigger on the stack. It probably doesn’t matter often but it can end up being unfair if someone has for example a deflecting swat and wants to use it prior to you drawing cards with yuriko. You might say “well then that player can ask dylan to choose the target at the correct time” but this might telegraph a deflecting swat that the player may not want to use depending on the target.
Always love seeing Yuriko! She's my fave commander. Cam was right about the problem with playing her in the video where he played that deck, though - she's super strong, but you have to play a bunch of dumb little creatures to get her going, and it's brutal when you run out of gas and you topdeck one of them.
Man, this is the second game Ikra/Bruse hasn't been able to get off the ground. I really like the idea of gaining 20 life per swing but not having card draw in the command zone is just crippling in a grindier game.
I dont think it matters much this game, but technically you need to choose a target for mistblade shinobi trigger before resolving the yuriko triggers.
TBH Mystical tutor for Sea Gate feels leagues better than transmuting into Sylvan. You're wasting a draw + 1 mana while the other play wastes the whole turn which the 3 mana was equivalent to.
Mullingans allow for great consistency when the whole deck is designed to do one or two things, Cam's turn 1 Ikra amounted to nothing as flashy as it was, Tyler had to tutor for a sylvan library to progress his gameplan and Dylan tutored a land, no way they were stacked
Be carefull at a tournament with naming black lotus. Because you need to say a legal target. So you can only say cards that aren‘t banned :) and therefore legal in the format.
Am I allowed to nitpick here? been watching for quite some time since the "best X colour" series and I noticed something "lose life" and "damage" is mechanically different and the mix-up should be avoided as much as possible I wanna bring this up because the channel being very cedh-centric which means rules like this means much more anyways the entertainment value from people like Cam is very good, keep up with the content~

Also in black mono magic.
So not only on cedh channels.

"I only have 1 other card."
Oh cool. Dylan must be about to win.
“You can’t counter my spells because I don’t want you to”
It’s almost as if Victor was using his… force of will
My favorite response in Commander when someone targets my stuff:
“Don’t do that. I need that.” It gets a chuckle most times.
The Mental Misstep on Birds was such a sick play I love subtle stuff like that
Great game you all. Thank you for being vanguards of this amazing format.
Much love from a Yuriko player! Well played Dylan.

Yuriko is by far my favorite deck, I have 2 different versions of her, so glad you guys showed her off!
Yuriko is by far my least favorite deck because of how overtuned she is and I'm so upset they showed her off.
Yuriko! Its one of my personal favorites to pilot! Nice win Dylan!

Tyler only had one creature out. So there was only one target.
@@PlaytoWinMTG haha how did i miss such an obvious thing
Awesome! Tyler is using my Altered Swan Song!
Just found the channel and the presentation is top notch. Amazing video.
It wouldn't be a Play to Win video without Tyler playing Kinnan and keeping a terrible hand.

And how exactly is that running out of gas for yuriko? You just keep drawing more with her. Creatures are your in to more card draw...
Great game as usual! Loved the content and the decks!
Beautiful song at the end there
Not sure how I feel about sol ring in Yuriko. The deck is just so color intensive and I rarely ever find a use for the sol mana
Dylan wtf is that playmat? That is too good
Man, this is the second game Ikra/Bruse hasn't been able to get off the ground. I really like the idea of gaining 20 life per swing but not having card draw in the command zone is just crippling in a grindier game.
Wow Victor's deck was really spicy
yo dylan do you have a decklist for edgar markov you were playing?
I love how you guys got a bunch of artists. You plan to have any more?
on 2:40, why didn't tile played kinnan, THEN transmuted? DX TYLER explain yoursefl
Yuriko!!! Yes! Love seeing her win! Thank you Dylan!
I dont think it matters much this game, but technically you need to choose a target for mistblade shinobi trigger before resolving the yuriko triggers.
I like the play of “I only have 1 other card in hand” that’s some shit I do. 😁
As an Ikra bruce player myself.... The thought of hope Ikra doesn't get removed happens quiet often
Will we see Commander Rounds in Person soon ? Nice Gameplay :)
... im sorry... did I miss something?? Why did it take until like turn 5 for Tyler to get Yuriko in play??
Where did Dylan get that epic playmat.. i love it!!!
also i was a bass in my choir in highschool as well!
That's the Spike Feeders playmat, but it might be out of print at this point.
TBH Mystical tutor for Sea Gate feels leagues better than transmuting into Sylvan. You're wasting a draw + 1 mana while the other play wastes the whole turn which the 3 mana was equivalent to.
Can we please get some more skull playmats in stock?
What is Victor’s playmat?
Hello! I'm here and I brought bacon! I'd like to suggest a "best enchantress deck in cEDH," video. I hope we can see that soon!
I want to see that grist deck back.
Please Dylan keep showing some love to Yuriko 🙏
I feel like these videos stack the opening hands so that they're more impressive.
Nope!
Mullingans allow for great consistency when the whole deck is designed to do one or two things, Cam's turn 1 Ikra amounted to nothing as flashy as it was, Tyler had to tutor for a sylvan library to progress his gameplan and Dylan tutored a land, no way they were stacked
These guys are such goofs.
But they're *our* goofs
I would say “just a casual 5 mana on turn 1”
Buuuuuuut I don’t think that applies here lol
"Just a competitive 5 mana on turn 1"
XD
I love these videos :D
Guys, guys. The new mat is pretty sweet, Did I tell you I bought one yet? Pretty sweet one day I'll make you guys sign it. 😉
Sick game. That is all.
Am I missing something, or is it a house rule that he can use Grist as a commander?
It’s a creature everywhere but the battlefield, including the command zone.
@@danielgordon8719 Oh, ok. I missed that, thanks for the clarification
Never seen Soul Exchange before. Gotta get one for my casual Reanimator deck lol.
If you can afford to exile a creature, it's really great!
I was under the impression you can't name a card with consultation that isn't legal in the format? I'm no judge so this is just a question
You can not, but in the instance of exiling your library it just doesn't matter and is fun to say.
I believe you need to name a card that is legal in your format when resolving demonic consultation. Not 100% sure though.
No, you can name any card, as long as the card exists. (Not that it matters...)
I also built Yuriko recently and I have the same sentiment about it. Its a cool deck but I don't really enjoy it. :s
Yay w new video

Does it change anything in this game? I feel the only time it matters what you call it is if there are triggers from damage.
That game was lengthy
Hi
I watch all your games, and I feel like kinnan just never wins lmao, good games!
Restock your sleeves please
Tyler really has be usurped on misleading statements.
Oracle has got to be one of the worst wincons in commander. It's so anticlimactic..
Why? Because it "just" wins the game?
Or because it's the most seen?
@@orsettomorbido Both
Gotta win somehow. Breach and Brain Freeze is just as boring but it's gettting there and fighting over it that makes it interesting
@@orsettomorbido most seen. I've played oracle once, insta dumped it. But to each their own.
