Im so pleased with the rarity redesign! I feel like rarity is high maintenance but she has to have functional outfits when she’s sewing, designing, etc. and she just looks so good in elegant, classy fits 😩

I've never thought about the skin colour as something more than just colours. The ponies also have unnatural colours and it's kinda a part of the character in that way and it makes the character more colourful and wacky looking in a good way from my perspective, and ponies with more yellow to red would just be more like realistic skin colour, so it was some logic for me. So it was definitely weird for me to hear that people did react to that. 😅 I also like their clothes maybe not all but I'm bad at fashion and just like wacky like things. 😅 Says a bit how it aged if it meant to look like something else. xD
Drawing the rest of the main five is obvious, but I’d also love to see the princesses, the cutie mark crusaders, and some male characters too. Maybe even some characters who never got a human version would be cool too (I only watched the first movie so I’m not sure who they would even be. Probably some villains haha). I love your designs so much, they’re so cute

The reason why many black people believe pinkie pie is black is because she is relatively coded as black, for example, in one of the Equestria girls movies pinkie pie is seen using a pick which is a tool used and for black people for their afros. In my little pony, pinkie pie is seen with afro puffs, which is a hairstyle for black people! While my little pony doesn't have any cannon races, they do imply it! For example, zecora is a whole African woman from her accent to her jewelry, etc! My little pony introducing her is a great way to handle racism. They handled that topic quite well!
Zecora definitely is a pony that should be african tbh (zebras only exist on africa, duh!). I also used to project Pinkie Pie as a latina like me, because her family has very straight hair (and Pinkie had too before she found happiness). Here in latin america, people are very mixed in a way that curly/coily hair is very common (i'm curly too), but most people with this hair textures are pressured to straighten it to fit in a european beauty standard. Pinkie pie getting her hair curly after the rainbow could be very meaningful as she learning to be happy while letting her natural self out
Equastria girls is the blueprint on what motivated me to start drawing more. I used to trace or use bases to make ocs and then over time tried to copy the style myself. Over time I got more confident to draw on my own. So, thank you Equastria Girls :3

i completely agree that it definitely needs to change when all the characters only have 1 body type...which is usually an unattainable one for most of society. It really weighs on the psyche when you're little!! i know i already said this, but its very appreciated how you draw varied body types! I feel like its sort of rare in the art community on youtube.
one of my core memories was getting a twilight sparkle equestria girls doll for christmas when i was like seven and leaving it on a table and leaving and coming back 30 minutes later to see my old beagle chewing on her leg. i will never forget the pain i felt that day

Because Twilight is my favourite character I headcanon her to be indigenous, just like me! I’m Aboriginal specifically, but I’m equally as happy seeing her as either Aboriginal or Native American. Both make sense in my mind, but since she was intended to have brown skin it’s what my mind jumped to instantly! Your designs are lovely, I’m really glad you made them adults since, even as a child, them being in highschool didn’t make much sense to me. Lovely designs, thank you for these. For me, whenever I imagine the mlp characters as humans, I choose whatever skin color is closest to their coat color. So, naturally, Rarity is pale, and Twilight has a darker skin tone. That's just me

I really love what you did with the characters so far, both in terms of fashion and technical design. (Also I'm jealous of your artstyle because it is SO good omg). I've always been on the fence of whether the ponies-turned-humans should have been given realistic skin colors or not. Because like you said, I get why they did it, didn't want to offend or cause drama. But it's always been a bit odd trying to imagine humans with those near neon colors. This combines the two ideas perfectly where they're realistic in a sense, but still very imaginative and fun and match with the mlp universe. (Pony designs are adorable too btw). I also like the idea that the characters are in college rather than high school because in the canon Equestria Girls A. how the heck does the general public and their PARENTS not know about what their children are doing considering how big of a spectacle most final magic battles tend to be, and B. How old ARE their pony counterparts if their age translates to teenagers, like what the heck? ALL my ramblings aside, I really like this and I can't wait to see how you handle the rest of the girls. (Also can I suggest Rainbow and Pinkie for the next vid pls? :D)

in my opinion, i like that they kept the skin colors as they are in the original MLP. it makes it feel like they’re very much still the same as they were in the other world-in PonyVille. but honestly, i do understand-having everyone be an ACTUAL race like in real life, since this is the human world, would make a lot more sense. i also really prefer the original hair designs on their human form, because it makes them recognizable and that familiarity is something that makes you love and remember that character.
I was OBSESSED with equestria girls when I was 8 and after 10 years later, I can confirm that I am not obsessed anymore. But I still appreciate it as what it was. I LOVED all of your character designs.

Personally I see Pinkie as mixed(black&white) she literally has afro puffs in the buck ball episode. And the rest of the characters as white with the exception of Twilight because I saw this one animatic where she had brown skin and it suited her color scheme really well. Also in my mind human Rarity has glossy black hair instead of purple.

Because Twilight is my favourite character I headcanon her to be indigenous, just like me! I’m Aboriginal specifically, but I’m equally as happy seeing her as either Aboriginal or Native American. Both make sense in my mind, but since she was intended to have brown skin it’s what my mind jumped to instantly!

Lovely designs, thank you for these. For me, whenever I imagine the mlp characters as humans, I choose whatever skin color is closest to their coat color. So, naturally, Rarity is pale, and Twilight has a darker skin tone. That's just me

I really love what you did with the characters so far, both in terms of fashion and technical design. (Also I'm jealous of your artstyle because it is SO good omg). I've always been on the fence of whether the ponies-turned-humans should have been given realistic skin colors or not. Because like you said, I get why they did it, didn't want to offend or cause drama. But it's always been a bit odd trying to imagine humans with those near neon colors. This combines the two ideas perfectly where they're realistic in a sense, but still very imaginative and fun and match with the mlp universe. (Pony designs are adorable too btw). I also like the idea that the characters are in college rather than high school because in the canon Equestria Girls A. how the heck does the general public and their PARENTS not know about what their children are doing considering how big of a spectacle most final magic battles tend to be, and B. How old ARE their pony counterparts if their age translates to teenagers, like what the heck?
ALL my ramblings aside, I really like this and I can't wait to see how you handle the rest of the girls. (Also can I suggest Rainbow and Pinkie for the next vid pls? :D)

in my opinion, i like that they kept the skin colors as they are in the original MLP. it makes it feel like they’re very much still the same as they were in the other world-in PonyVille. but honestly, i do understand-having everyone be an ACTUAL race like in real life, since this is the human world, would make a lot more sense. i also really prefer the original hair designs on their human form, because it makes them recognizable and that familiarity is something that makes you love and remember that character.

all i remember loving as a kid as part of their designs were the boots tbh. like they looked so clunky n cool and i would still wear most of em today with some color changes
Personally I see Pinkie as mixed(black&white) she literally has afro puffs in the buck ball episode. And the rest of the characters as white with the exception of Twilight because I saw this one animatic where she had brown skin and it suited her color scheme really well. Also in my mind human Rarity has glossy black hair instead of purple.
Rarity is sooooo pretty and I love the pony form u drew! BUUUUT
I would make the left side of Raritys mouth in the close up pic a bit shorter bc I think its too long but it still looks rlly cute!
