I have helped hundreds of people pass their B2 First exam at no cost, and I would LOVE to keep it that way. Of course, I still have to maintain a full time job while running this channel, and BELIEVE ME, I spend the majority of my free time writing, recording, editing and publishing videos. I love doing this, but I would love it even more if I could do it for a living!
If every student that PASSED their exams bought one beer for Bruce I’d be able to do this full time. That would be MARVELLOUS!
So, if you’ve PASSED your B2 First exam, and feel that SMASH English really helped, please consider donating here:
    www.buymeacoffee.com/SMASHEnglish
This is not an obligation. One of the fantastic things about SMASH English is that it is free for everyone that needs it! This will not change. However, if you do feel you can say thanks with a little bit of money then that’s fantastic.
    Thank you all!
    Toby.

hey Toby! Thank you so much for your videos, you're truly a life saver! Despite getting all of them correctly, I still have 1 question about the fifth example: my first thought was "In spite of having studied for years", but then i wondered "would it have been correct anyway if i said "In spite of having spent years studying""? It's not just about this one example but others too that I encountered while practicing. Thank you o much and wish you a good day/night!

Very interesting examples of these exercises. Different rules and construction logic. It is clear how we should have to think to achieve the good result in CAE exam. This topic (Key Word Transformation) is for me the most difficult, nevertheless watching this video seems more easier. That's why this channel is a success ! Thanks a lot for this good work. Funny all your examples, in this video, about CAE failure 😀

At number 3, can't I say "had no clue" too? IK "I did not have a clue" and "I have no clue" are supposedly the same(?)

    Yoo Toby...
On 5:56 - I was thinking about "had no clue about what". It also fits, doesn't it?
Also at 7:37 - is "saved up money" redundant? I would answer this way.
