When I worked as a PCA I worked with one other PCA and we were burnt out never a day off. Great advice to have 5 caregivers.

When I first started in this field I was a staffing coordinator and one of my clients had 24 hr care. I suggested the 8 hr rotation to prevent caregiver burnout but the client AND my director was against it.

How or do you provide benefits? If so what type?
I been a CNA for over 20 years, a HHA for 2 years and soon to be an LPN. I took a job (my first job) as a care coordinator. I am learning a lot BUT this is on a different spectrum than I am used to. I want to learn the process but it is a lot. Staffing, hiring, filing, making calls to set up interviews for potential staff and clients. I love caring for people and my boss loves me. She is trying to teach me everything but she has a job to do. I am here to take the load off her and manage the office. I really want to get this down. I need some basics and wheew this video spoke life into my first office job. MORE INPUT MORE INPUT. Thank you for this tutorial. I am heading to your channel now to find more basic information and then graduate slowly to proficient information. Again thank you.

What if the client needs to do a split shift how would they do it? Reason asking because the client doesn't have enough work for me to do during the straight shift.
Maxine Upchurch GM you would simply cover the hours needed. Ex: AM and PM shifts or Day and night. Ex: Some people need assistance getting up and going to bed only.

How about a sleep in schedule
Eight consecutive uninterrupted hours of sleep only applies to live. Caregivers working 12 hour shifts do not sleep...same as if working in a facility.

Annaliscia1985 you would need to contact a payroll company ie Corporate payroll, ADP, Paychex etc. Google each of them then call and ask for a quote. They can also help you set up your account with The DOL etc. They will handle your employer quarterly taxes.
