  • Zenith Aircraft's Roger Dubbert and Sebastien Heintz go flying in the Zenith CH 750 Cruzer to verify cruise speed of the 118-hp UL Power UL350i engine (with a 68-inch Sensenich two-blade ground adjustable propeller). Speed in verified at 2,600 rpm, 2,700 rpm, and 2,800 rpm (max continuous rpm for the UL Power engine).

    Nice little aeroplane, but what a racket !!
    My ears are ringing just from the audio on the video, God knows what it must be like in the cockpit, earmuffs or no earmuffs.

    Excellent - thanks for posting video and audio from these flights. And thanks for doing these flights! Do you post weight and balance info for the different engines you run in the CruZer? I'm trying to make an engine choice.

      somewhere around the 6 minute mark they clearly said the UL350i and the 130 horse iS version weigh exactly the same.... should not be too hard to find a weight online for one of those? From the UL website, weight is listed as 78.4 kilograms....

    Doesn't appear to have any basic steam gauges not reliant on electrical current to operate. If electrical power is lost or interrupted, does that leave the pilot flying without knowing actual altitude and airspeed?

      1 the Dynon flat screen has a battery backup system.
      2 any pilot worth his salt, and one who has time in the aircraft, should be able to fly the aircraft without reference
      to those instruments.
