- Diamonds is an interesting puzzle game.
The rule of the game is that the main character ball should eliminate all colored-bricks and then finally get rid of bricks which has light green crystal.
For example, If the ball wants to do away with green colored-bricks, first it should touch the brick which has green paint brush, then it touch a green colored-brick, the brick will vanish and it will get some scores. Игры
Wow I can't believe I actually found this game I've been looking for this game for years back in 95 I used to play this game a lot with I saved it in a floppy disk but I don't know what happened to it it just feels so good to see the game play amazing I was starting to forget how the game was thank you so much for uploading a gameplay and I dropped it like and sub
Ah, Middle School.
The music should be in the charts
I remember playing this game back in middle school, my goodness it was catchy!!
I remember this back in 1995 in 9th grade. Also Sparkz and Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis.
Loved this game back in the 90's middle school years. There was also a pirated version back then that changed the game play music to a clip of Michael Zager Band's "Let's All Chant" and the high score screen music to a clip of Yello's "Oh Yeah".
I've wondered why the footage I've seen of Diamonds hasn't quite matched my memory of the game. I think I remember the version I played on a friend's computer back in '94 or so had some vocals, (probably female, more than one voice but not like a whole choir) in the background music. Checking out "Let's All Chant" now based on your comment, that could be it.
Another difference in my recollection of the game is the space theme. I don't remember there being spacey backdrops. I'm pretty sure the one I played had a plain white background.
I'm curious whether I'm remembering it right or not. I was only 7 or so at the time.
Anyway, thanks to your comment, now I think my recollection is probably pretty accurate, which I'm happy about. 😃
I wasn't aware that was a pirated version of it, in fact, that's the only version of it I remember playing - lol. The version I had played a continuous loop of "Let's All Chant" during play while the pre/post music was a loop from The Video Kids' "Woodpeckers from Space." Now I'm going to have to dig it out and load it into my OS9 emulator to make sure I'm remembering it correctly. Diamonds, Maelstrom, Crystal Quest, Glider Pro, Blockade, and Solarian II were staples back then.
@@jroads323 I'd be interested in hearing if your memory was correct. Maybe there were multiple pirated versions out there.
@@FeralInferno It is correct. I fired up Basilisk II tonight, installed the game and ran it. It runs much too fast to actually play, but here's what I got from it: It was Diamonds v1.52. When it first loads to the help/info screen it plays a short snippet of Yello's "Oh Yeah". When you play the first level, an instrumental riff of Woodpeckers From Space plays in a loop. I wasn't able to complete the level since the ball goes crazy with no way to control it or slow it down, but it jogged my memory to the fact that the music loop swaps for each level. Woodpeckers From Space plays for odd levels, Let's All Chant plays for even levels. If you have an old Mac running OS7 or OS8, it would no doubt play just fine. I just don't have room to hook up the old clamshell Mac for testing it at the moment.
Yesssss
The music had no business being this hype for such a short loop.
Ah yes, the “there’s nothing else on the lab computer” standby.
This classic game is AWESOME! Thanks for putting the name on the title, because I completely FORGOT what this was called on my Apple MAC (that bit the dust years ago). (Although, I think the developers of Action 52 for the Sega Genesis "copied/cloned" Diamonds and made it mediocre at best; they called it "Go Bonkers").
(Oh yeah, you can also create your own levels, which means that you can make it as easy or as hard as you want - which is ALREADY 1000x better than "Go Bonkers").
I used to play this on my TI graphing calculators back in high school. One of my favorite games!
I remember this game as a kid in elementary. That and the Oregon trail
Another game where the original music was changed. Probably because of a C&D.
The original version was more complicated in that you had to break all the cyan blocks before touching a paintbrush, because even if you died, you couldn't go back. It also sampled the second hook from the song 'Let's All Chant' in it.
+LarcenTyler Isn't that the case in the clip? Pretty bad game design nowadays with all spoiled kids, but to be fare, even how fun and challenging it was, I'm not sure I would have the patience to play it today :)
+Developedism No, this is an enhanced version where, if you die, you go back to being cyan so you can start again.
+LarcenTyler Ahh okey, pretty sure I only played the enhanced version then. Thanks for clarifying.
yeah this is a pc childhood arcade game. and yes this is a macintosh version. i did play this on microsoft windows though.
I played this with 8 years in 2010, but another version of another year, it was great, i remember games like Prince of Persia, Maelstrom, Ants, Ski, Paint, Tristan and some more, it was very fun, really.
Had totally forgotten about this...
LOVE this game
It's been sooo hard finding this
Can anyone remember a breakout game for Mac from the same time period which was more like breakout? It had a space theme and awesome music. I've been looking for it for years. Between that game and Tetris Max, I wasted hours and hours of time.
I didn't know there was a 2D version of this game!
I used to have this on my windows95 machine. I've been looking for this for years! Any idea where can I get it from?
Do you recall if it was the kids pack Version that had different background music
does anyone know where i can get this game for mac? i can't seem to find it anywhere

I wish I could find this game that was compatible with Windows 10.
I'm also looking for Ice & Fire.

@@FeralInferno Thanks man, always wondered if someone ported this to Windows.
Zero deaths!
Is there a way to play these games in a modern PC? i need to know, please.
using an emulator !
What emulator do you use? Pls :D
Benjamín Contreras Torres Basilisk
how can download it for Windows?
The Action 52 Sega Genesis Mediocre at best version is called "Go Bonkers".
This is almost exactly the same as Go Bonkers, except better in every respect
the best part was the f*ck you in the high score haha
Two things:
1. There was an identical game called "Bonkers" that was part of the Genesis version of Action 52 (released two years earlier), IMO one of the better games on an otherwise infamous compilation. Considering how obscure this game is combined with how Action 52 just screams "ripoff", is it possible that this might a clone of a clone? Could there exist another identical game pre-dating Action 52?
2. Was there a PC version of this game, or is it Mac exclusive?
