Thanks guys for a game well played! I really think if we stay poised and on our game we can go far! Your fans believe in you! And good to see Race playing such a great game. He definitely leaves everything on the floor. Good luck on Sunday! Go Hoosiers!
Frankly after that performance, I think he's in contention for best big man in college basketball. He reminds me of Draymond Green, just much more polished offensively.
In fairness, Edey's supporting cast doesn't match TJD's supporting cast. Hood-Shefino and Thompson are better players than any of Edey's 2023 Purdue teammates. Both Edey and TJD are great scorers who force double teams. Edey is a better rebounder. TJD is a better shot blocker.. Edey reminds me of Yao Ming. TJD reminds me of "The Brow".
@@controlleddemolition9112 dont let this game fool u. Thompson isnt good lol. J hood is better than any purdue player not named zach edey but saying the same for thompson is ludicrous
@@landonmyers5138 You've got a point. Thompson doesn't always look this good, but who on Purdue, other than Edey, is any good? Loyer? He's just average, IMO.
All around satisfying performance. With all the upsets and bracket busters we’ve already seen in this tournament, I was hoping Indiana would take care of business.
@@stansmad I knew they’d be bounced early. They’re overrated. Edey isn’t half the player Davis is. All you have to do is double him and he turns the ball over.
For some reason the referees in college b-ball, and more flagrantly in the NBA, never call traveling on players any more. At the :29 mark Indiana's guard picks up his dribble, shuffles backward (still inside the 3-point arc), then shuffles backward more (to get outside the 3-point arc), then takes the shot. Not only did the referee, standing five feet away and watching, not call a traveling violation, but also allowed the 3-pointer even though the shooters foot was clearly on the 3-point line. It's even worse on drives to the basket where many players take three or four and sometimes five steps after picking up the dribble. Why have the rule if it's not going to be enforced? And don't get me started on players, especially guards, palming/carrying the ball.
@@professorxaviour3649 NO. He took ONE step and ONE dribble forward with his feint drive towards the lane. Then he picked up his dribble and took two little shuffle steps back. Then he took two more little shuffle steps back to get outside the 3-point arc. Slow down the video speed to .25 and watch it again.
You are correct! I have never viewed a game at such a late hour, and I've been watching IU since I was in high school. And, as a '73 alum, I must say the start time was unfair to the student-athletes, the fans, the officials, the tele viewers, the maintenance people, those who work concessions and everyone involved! It was inconsiderate & inexcusable! Can't we all be nice & kind?
Honestly I like the Hoosiers but I’m a Miami fan, before watching this I thought Miami would have a little trouble in which they would, but I think we have faced better competition, with that being said, I think Miami got this in the bag
College basketball is better when the Hoosiers are doing well. Hope they go deep.
Amen
Jackson-Davis is solid. He was blocking shots and dunking on peoples heads.
He reminds me of a draymond green type of player
Indiana is finally looking like Indiana. This is good for the entire NCAA

My, my! The Hoosiers were on point! Keep marching on towards the mark! IU-B -'73
I appreciate that y'all mic up the rim. Gives it another dynamic.
Trayce Jackson-Davis is the best big man in the state of Indiana. He makes Zach Edey look like Michael Olowokandi.

Indiana looks poised for a Final Four run. They looked real sharp against an underrated scrappy Kent State squad. Jackson-Davis is a force
GO INDIANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Man Chris Payton’s post game is nice af gs boy
What a game played by us
That peyton kid from Kent state has some nba potential
POSTER OF THE YEAR!!!!
i thought arizona st was better

Indiana boys on an Indiana night 🤔
Hoosiers smokin on that Purdue pack tonight
Wish IU had their senior PG... would be an entirely different discussion; as it is, they could still make a deep run if they play solid
Great start IU! Next step: Miami on Sunday...
IU!!!!!
the best game ever.
Indianan well rounded team
Even though it was like 12:30 that poster had the arena JUMPING.
wow good job!! Indiana! ❤
#4 Indiana will face #5 Miami on Sunday at Albany
Indiana got team work!
All you need to know: 8:37
Me happy me Hoosiers are in the tournament 🙂. Me hopes they make it to championship
Trayce Jackson-Davis has some point forward to his game. If only he could shoot threes. Maybe he’d be more like Keegan Murray.
Pffft. Iowa choked.
Indiana can win this thing.
Another big ten school advance.👍
Even if we lose Sunday……. At least we didn’t get knocked out by FDU😂
Don't you love it ? I had a Purdue fan telling me yesterday morning that Edey would prolly get 50 against such a small lineup in a total rout ! 😅
@@stansmad I knew they’d be bounced early. They’re overrated. Edey isn’t half the player Davis is. All you have to do is double him and he turns the ball over.
OOOOO KENT STATE WHAT HAPPENED?!?!? THOUGHT IT WAS "WINNABLE"??? KEEP DOUBTING THE HOOSIERS BABY.😊
They probably never had to deal with the physicality that IU plays with. Davis on film and Davis on the court are two different animals. Lol
Good luck Miami
5 wins for the B1G
Miami is in trouble. Y’all look Taller , Bigger , and Faster.
Jackson davis was slow af but knows how to use his height. Im watching you boyyy 👀
Iu looks for real
first one to comment

He dribbled and took two steps. It was legal

they adjusted the 3 at the next time out to a 2
@@jdmiller3905 If you say so. It's not in the video. Or if it is I missed it and I've watched it at least 4 times.
Hoosiers
JACKSON DAVIS! LOL
Who starts a game that late? Nobody.

Big 10, Indiana, will annihilate ACC, Miami, on Sunday. No chair tossing in this massacre LOL!

Indiana got some great individual players just don't feel like they are an elite team
They have no bench. Race Thompson had the game of his life too.
Ugh, my two least favorite commentators of all time
What i thought as well? Where's Gus Johnson? Would've loved to hear him get hyped up
