Hi there, I dont own a vistamatic, but I would check if it has a sponge bar. I dont think they are the same machine. It should do the closed edge edge cast on, the E wrap cast on.
Hi , i have also an Empisal 321. After the cast on, it hapoens to me that sometimes, the stiches remain in the metal partan do not go down, even when i set weights in. Do you know why? thank you in advance for your help!
@claudiaaguirre9891 have a look at the tension unit. What I mean is at the top arm, on the side there is a screw. Basically take the tension unit apart to clean out the unit. Nobody thinks the unit needs to be cleaned. I have taken a lot of fluff out of the units. It seems as the yarn pulls through, it snags on the unit.
Thank you very much for the comment. I will have a look. I cleaned all the rest of the machine, replaced the sponge bar and took away a lot of fluff that concentrated between the sponge bar and the needles. Needless to say that after this step (and after oiling), the machine bed was working quite good. I need also to check the rest, I tried to do fair isle and all the points dropped from the machine. I think that the yarn was not well inserted in the unit. Do you have some videos about cleaning it? You should continue doing videos, they are very good and provide a lot of insight.
