I love that so much of this conversation is about pregnancy and postpartum. Postpartum anxiety is very common and is different for everyone. My first daughter slept through the night and it freaked me out. I’d wake up every 10 minutes to make sure she was breathing.

Great convo! Also, I swear postpartum they have the mom film out a mental health survey for at least a year. Also, In California they had us sign a paper that we won’t shake our baby. I am glad that the convo about postpartum mental health is being discussed.
I had postpartum depression, had intrusive thoughts and anxiety! Lasted for almost the entire first year of my son’s life. I was too afraid to have another baby.
Yup, those cluster feeds are crazy. I called my lactation every time it happened thinking I did something wrong. Now that they are 16 and 17 I look back fondly.
Yes it can. And frankly it’s easier to just feed when they want to eat vs trying put them on a schedule. I’ve done both. Much easier and less stressful.
In the morning I could get a 3-4 hour stretch, but evenings were always constant. I nursed both kids for 2 years each. I did have friends who nursed differently, so it’s definitely a spectrum. They will figure out their groove.
I really enjoyed listening to this podcast, and her voice is so calming. But, I had to listen multiple times and turn on the closed captions to make sure I actually heard what she said at the 14:51 area. I'm not a fan of transphobia! That one really wasn't necessary!! It gave me a completely different view of her! 😥 I'm not even in the LGBTQIA community personally, but I am an ally and I think it's important to stand up for people that get hated on for something It's not even funny to make a joke about!
