Unreal rain 🌧️😮
Here in Oregon, USA, the weather is the same... cold rain. Kind of messy and miserable but better than ice and snow. Love your garden and greenhouse.
The parajubaea is a real treat to see. Superb feather foliage
I spent a few hours on Saturday tidying up the garden and making sure everything was fleeced in the greenhouse. I have some cuttings to pot up. I hope we have a mild winter this year. Thank you for your update, I find it very useful. 👍
Beautiful garden
P. Sunkha should be doable in your neck of the woods Chris. It may need some help i expect. I have one in 8a too, took a weeks worth of beating @ -7 last winter. I wrapped with split bamboomat and cover top for rain/snow. P. Sunkha and TVT both get extra heating at around -4/-5.
My Echiums are the same Kris. Good thing is they self seed like crazy so there will be loads of seedlings for a couple years. I fleece mine because of last year I didn’t want to lose more especially as they are looking nice and big this year
I see that vitopod have started trading again! about time I can get more layers on my propagator and get some use out of it. thanks for the video Kris
Think it is a schefflera enneaphylla looks identical to mine. Mine also has berries on waiting to ripen. Hopefully i can get some seeds from them and try growing some.
Thanks I'll give it a name tag
Lovely update!
Thanks!
I wish the weather was nicer
can you also magic some sun into the video kris ha ha that would be nice !! would be a change from all this NAFFIN RAIN AARGGHHH.. also your garden still looks top notch buddy
Cheers. Weather's been awful recently
-3c @8am and my treeferns look a bit bronzed already. Winters here in my neck of the woods. 😢
Woah that's a little colder than I thought . Tree ferns will be fine down to minus 3 for short periods
Where did you get the tall plastic cloches on your arid bed from please?
At 11:09 is the potted plant to the right of the brugmansias a euphorbia pulcherrima?
It's a Fuchsia boliviana
Hi I realise I'm going to sound like an idiot but ..... Why take cuttings in the winter when we have to give extra light and heat and the greenhouse is full , rather than in the summer when heat and light and space are abundant ?
It's the most efficient way to get some tender plants through winter as small cuttings/ plants that don't take up much room and therfore less to heat than keeping bigger plants that we grow through summer
@14:39 Brahea edulis? (Guadalupe palm)
Good suggestion but this is much slower growing, finer leaves and smaller.
@@YorkshireKRISBrahea calcarea (previously nitida) has dark greyish green, finely segmented leaves with white undersides. It is easy to distinguish from other Brahea as the only species without a thorny petiole. Great video as always. Good luck Kris, from the Netherlands I wish you and your family all the best. Cheers.
What type of Echium are these?
echium pininana
