I imagine the east meets west weapons getting to work together must be very challenging.
na they just put a external comuputer for the guidence system an the bombs are lodad as dumb bombs on the plane its not that compelex

Russia is running very low on armour, loosing 300 units per day on average. There max production rate is 100 units per day. 🤔
The French engineers worked on the planes to integrate these as well as the SCALP/Storm Shadow cruise missiles so the ukranian soviet era planes can fire them.

The French, as well as the Germans, Brits, Danes, Italians and others, make some very capable gear. Matching and sometimes outperforming US made stuff. Given current tensions and the big middle finger we have gotten from our ally, let's start buying European. We need to build not only our military, but the supporting industry as well.

Please don’t forget us out here in Canada. We have been, and always will be stalwart allies in trying times. Wish we’d taken the SAAB grippen deal. Not up to me though. And this Before we got betrayed. We can make it. Canada has the production capacity to seriously boost product.
This is the one thing I was surprised most about this war. Outside of the drone attacks, there doesn’t seem to be much of an aerial war as we’ve seen in past wars.
Ukraine can't risk losing many planes
Too dangerous. The reds also using glide bombs from far behind the frontline for ages only. This used to be effective, now probably not anymore.
There was one hell of a fight in the opening weeks. Ukraine was flying dozens of sorties a day with their Mig29s in an attempt to ward off Russian jets. Once Ukraine got Patriot systems it was a lot harder for Russia to fly fighter jets over Ukraine. Now they usually just toss glide bombs at pre-picked targets from 200km away.

Tactics are very interesting this war, they are basically tossing these bombs in a climb to extend their range and limit exposure to the aircraft.

The peculiarity of those used by Russia is that they drop at an altitude of 10 km and fly for another 50. Don't have time to intercept
