This girl is definitely blessed to be alive. I always personally used alone for the great years of my addiction and somehow have been blessed also. Her dad 1000% fucked her up and sent her life on a bad trajectory. She was using to die unknowingly I think. My buddy was the same exact way, and had so many over doses and would never have that cautiousness like I have been lucky to have, I saved him from a few OD’s , he passed Away Feb. 12th 2021 after taking him to dinner at outback and me deciding to get our food to go and cut the dinner short bc of having extreme random anxiety, we stop at my place to eat and he wanted to rush home and get high and the last thing he ever said to me he asked me to bring silver wear over to eat at his place, I ate and fell asleep regrettably, and found him the next day blue and gray with his outback dinner on the counter never opened, dead with his phone in front of his hands face down (most likely trying to call me) . Breaks my heart every single day.
Dude, that story broke my heart. But it’s like every story that I hear. I found my roommate overdosed and I didn’t even know that she used heroin. The one thing that girl had in her corner is that her mother never left her. My mother would’ve abandoned me the first time I relapsed in rehab. She would’ve left my ass in Florida to die. Florida is the worst place to go to. All my neighbors, my roommate, almost everyone I know has died.. Six rehabs up and down my street and it’s like a revolving door just to get money. These people still get high. I see ambulances in front of these complexes And I know it’s another overdose. It’s so sad.

(Not suggesting cheeks) Ive never done dope, but lost many around me who were. Her honesty is amazing, the way she says it all, her delivery, confidence, and heart really got in my head. I wish you the best and I'm probably old enough to be your parent. I raised my son alone and he's 27 now I gave him a home cars trucks Harleys you name it college and I don't hear from him. Never had drugs or alcohol in the house. I've been on the blues 80 three times a day fentanyl patches for 24 years. I hate the shit and I only take them when I have to. Just because of the withdrawal i take them, drs were handing them out like candy when they first came out. I was shoot in my forehead and I refused the medicine until I couldn't stand the pain raising a little boy. My son graduated 2014 and I believe he might be doing something because I texts him everyday to say I love you and hear nothing. This is very hard watch this. I've watched so many people go from the oxicotin to heroin and die with a needle in their arms. I'm praying for you it's a hard life time journey God bless you young lady.
He might be going through his own things, my boyfriend uses to numb the things he's going through emotionally bc he can't deal with them. He's told me before if he didn't live with his parents he wouldn't speak to them. And they're not the best parents but also not the worst they're just distant and in their own worlds

This was so good . I went to rehab twice in high school and some how managed to graduate . Ended up doing 2 weeks in a coma from an OD at 21 and used heavy heroin until I was 27. Finally got clean
My roommate used oxy and then sold oxy to get heroin and then overdosed. Almost everybody in my apartment complex has died in the apartment complex behind me in South Florida has died and the guy upstairs told me that he looks for fentanyl to use. Why would someone want to use fentanyl?

This made me realize once again how amazing and how lucky I was and am to have my beautiful indigenous parents! Thanks Dad & Mom I love you so much I am so sad you’re gone, I am so blessed! Parents aren’t perfect, lucky I am.
If you wanna stay clean you have to leave the place you were before, cut off every single person you were messing with when you were in your addiction. Gotta change every aspect of your life so there’s no memory of your old life so you’re able to change your mindset. I was an alcoholic/drug addict for 10-12yrs od’ed 3 times. Only 1 was intentional but I only slept for 6hrs (took 20 oxycodone 10mg and the same amount of baclofen. I remember waking up pissed off because I couldn’t even kill myself right, and I had went and wasted my drugs. Then I had an amputation surgery go wrong and I ended up in a medically induced coma for 4 weeks (you can hear every word people say when they’re near you but you can’t open your eyes or move. I remember the Dr telling my wife at the time to get all my family to the hospital as soon as possible because I wasn’t gonna make it through the night. At that moment I decided if I lived I would get sober. I’ve been sober since Feb 4 2017. Only by the grace of God that I lived through everything without any withdrawal effects from the years of alcoholism or drugs

Florida is the worst place to go for rehab! I live in Palm Beach Florida and there are six rehabs up and down my street. They’ve turned all of the apartment complexes and single-family homes in my neighborhood and rehab. And all of these people use. It’s a revolving door to make money.
Wow blues were 60 dollars a pill and they were perks not fetnyal. 25 dollars for one blue, it would have been even harder for me to quit. The price of the blues where im from in maine played in to me quiting even more. 10 pills was 90% of my paycheck. I get high one night and have to worry about the next six days to get my fix. I didnt want to use fetnyal cause i was afraid of dieing, I thank god everyday for helping me make the right choice. Rehab saved my life. Happy this girl is working on her self. Holy cow though she needs to take a drink of water, shes got a mouth that is so dry that is making a crazy clicky noise Ian you got headphones on so i know you can here her dry mouth clicking. Give her water bro.

Ian, Thanks for sharing this story. It was a little off your norm. However these are stories that need told. I work in corrections with patients who live with serious mental illness and hear lots of stories. Adiction often goes hand in hand with my patients stories. Many of them talk about adiction, broken families and other family members with mental illness. The cycle of addiction can easily be perpetual through generations. I feel like often society blames the addict instead of looking at all the other factors that can easily lead to the adiction. Many of my Patients blame themselves which leads to more use. I try to teach them that they can only use the coping tools that they were taught, many of them raised themselves so they just never gained the skills. I also wish for them to value themselves because when we value ourselves we can learn to take better care. Unfourtunatly, many of those with Serious Mental Illness end up in jail. I personally see people who spend way more time in jail due to not having beds in treatment centers. There just isn't enough focus on treatment. Sharing these stories on this popular platform may help to shed some light on this subject... Thanks. ❤ 😊

Im just happy I got past the short phase between 18-19 years old of hyperventilating calling 911 and finding out absolutely nothing is medically wrong. That was more of a panic attack tho now it's just mild anxiety from time to time. Easy to deal with really.

I would also like to add that I firmly believe the downfall of our society has been and will continue to be fatherless children. We need to go back to an economy that works for a single income family to be able not just to survive in this country but thrive in this country. One parent at home and one in the workforce. It will never work unless the economy will support it. I will vote for any politician that will provide that.

Ian your mike is so sensitive on the interviewees, I can hear mouth and tongue noises, Im sure you can hear it if you listen to her talking. Maybe reduce the treble sensitivity on the mike until its not as sensitive.
Love this one I'm a fellow addict and have struggled with fentyal and battling terrible addiction my dad died from it mom has 25 years clean I've been an addict sense 15 been locked up so many times for petty shit from being an addict parents were both alcoholics and I was and am the drug addict of the targeted in my town by the police stopped muitple different times by the DEA. I live in Maine not far from Connecticut and the MDEA Maine DEA has got me and tried to turn me CI Muitple times and can relate to her a lot love this one

The best artist (drawing) and tattoo artist are besides bars. I’ve met artists behind bars (they taught themselves behind bars) that could legit compete with paul booth. I’ve also met men that if they had the right people to listen to them could completely fix the US economic issues. Some that could be great lawyers/teachers. And I honestly believe the best therapist are locked up. Some of those men have experience with suicide/drugs/physiological issues. They got experience that no book is gonna teach you. They could truly help people that’s struggling if the system would actually try to rehabilitate people so they actually have a chance when they’re released
I’m not bragging, I’m exactly doing the exact opposite of what all drug dealers say. Every drug dealer talks about how many times they overdose, how much drugs, they used, etc. etc. lol like I’m here to tell you I shot heroin for three years and never overdose, and I’ve used it in moderation, I am 100% different than everyone in this world and I am not a statistic

I love these stories, and I watch regularly. However, when guests are speaking, I can hear the saliva or whatever it is when they speak. I can't do it. It's really like nails on a chalkboard for me. DOn't know if it's cause the mics are that good or that close that it's picking up every little sound from the throat, mouth etc and it really just gets to me.

I would also like to add that I firmly believe the downfall of our society has been and will continue to be fatherless children. We need to go back to an economy that works for a single income family to be able not just to survive in this country but thrive in this country. One parent at home and one in the workforce. It will never work unless the economy will support it. I will vote for any politician that will provide that.

Ian your mike is so sensitive on the interviewees, I can hear mouth and tongue noises, Im sure you can hear it if you listen to her talking. Maybe reduce the treble sensitivity on the mike until its not as sensitive.

I've been an addict sense 15 been locked up so many times for petty shit from being an addict parents were both alcoholics and I was and am the drug addict of the targeted in my town by the police stopped muitple different times by the DEA.
I live in Maine not far from Connecticut and the MDEA Maine DEA has got me and tried to turn me CI Muitple times and can relate to her a lot love this one

The best artist (drawing) and tattoo artist are besides bars. I’ve met artists behind bars (they taught themselves behind bars) that could legit compete with paul booth. I’ve also met men that if they had the right people to listen to them could completely fix the US economic issues. Some that could be great lawyers/teachers. And I honestly believe the best therapist are locked up. Some of those men have experience with suicide/drugs/physiological issues. They got experience that no book is gonna teach you. They could truly help people that’s struggling if the system would actually try to rehabilitate people so they actually have a chance when they’re released

I love these stories, and I watch regularly. However, when guests are speaking, I can hear the saliva or whatever it is when they speak. I can't do it. It's really like nails on a chalkboard for me. DOn't know if it's cause the mics are that good or that close that it's picking up every little sound from the throat, mouth etc and it really just gets to me.
