I started smoking when I was 15, in middle school and since became a heavy one, for 12 years, 2 packs a day. Want to stop from a long time ago, but just couldn't, it's hard. Until covid came, lol. Lock myself up, struggling for 12 days, not that I got COVID, just because I want stop smoking, can't go anywhere anyway. It's been a year now since I stopped. In 2020, struggling with money, but I have one of my biggest and longest wish ever. Got a quite a big problem recently, have taste just one, it's fine I guess, lol. Kid, don't smoke, seriously, not because I got really sick because of that. Just don't, it's hard to stop. Really hard.
Nice , but in my country India nobody cares what is happening in the street, if an accident happened all people will gathering to see , but no one will come to help
Notice how a lot of them, even the smoker, told them not to smoke because it's bad for them and that they can do it when they grow up? Most people would be quick to call them out; but understand the reason for this: when one is older and hopefully wiser, one can make a conscious and educated decision to smoke or not. As a child, you don't have that choice, especially since simply "trying" one drag can get you very addicted. So while the adults here understand that smoking is BAD, they do not take away the children's ability to decide(when they grow older) for themselves if it is something they truly want to do.

The more I watch these videos, the more I realise how different society is in Australia. A lot of these videos show strangers stepping into educate the actors where their advice is readily taken on board but if you were to try to do the same here, people would get defensive and they might even become aggressive (even teenagers). It'd be great if people all around the world were a bit more open-minded about listening to and helping others.

Don't do it. It is very hard to quit (I quit twice so far and haven't smoked for 2 years), very bad for your health and it is expensive. There is nothing to be gained from it besides negative effects on your health and an addiction that lasts for most people's lifetime, which also becomes greatly shortened due to smoking. One of my biggest regrets in life because til this day, there are times I still think about it. The funniest part? There wasn't anything to gain by doing it, so it was pointless from the beginning.

my grandpa passed away due to lung cancer. Smoking shouldn't be a daily thing...if you notice that you do it everyday for a whole year, try to stop once and for all... Addiction is different from just simple leisure.
