Listening it in Agost 2024.. Sir James Galway is the best! Full of art! Not even Emanuel Pauhd, Jazmine Choi and so on will overcome him. Sir James Galways is unique! I am very excited 😊 He inspire me so much.

Many thanks, and God bless. What gems, a joy to hear. Please, consider giving a recital at your home/online. That would be just the thing, in these circumstances.
It is really sad when the real and true master of our times only have 26k subcribers whereby no talent such as 2sets violin have millions of subscribers.

Londonderry air? what?
Jimmy's classical music is faultless but to my tastes he messed up this folk tune. He makes this sad march about the last king of Ireland sound hurried and rushed. No musician can be great at every genre in my own inexpert opinion folk music is one of his weak areas. However, he has made much lovelier and better interpreted recordings of this march e.g. on his Golden Flute album. Galway is a master flautist and inspired me and thousands others to take up this instrument and also piqued our interest in Irish music, for which I will always be grateful.
You’ll like this version of his better: ruclips.net/video/awTtCPkcv6I/видео.html
its a bit too classical and not trad enough .. i feel the classical performers fear being judged for not having the correct classical technique so they dont play it as they know it should sound.
