Seeing the Blue Band evolve over the years has been fun to watch. Bringing Seven Nation to the college field and adding it's own twist to the song. Along with Neck, The Skin I'm In, Gladiator, Money Chant. They def know the songs that are unique and often copied.
This video brought tears to my eyes. I pray my son, a high school junior, will get into Penn State and be a part of this awesome band!!! And Gregory Drane, what a leader, I hope he stays at PSU. My son his hungry to follow an inspriational leader like him. -Laura Leary

Brings back the memories of being in the Blue Band back in the early '80s and the combination of angst and rush marching out of the tunnel for pregame for the first time and performing for the largest audience I had ever done up to that time. The Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia would ultimately be the biggest audience, though most of them were watching on TV. They didn't show the fireman song in the tunnel. Does the Blue Band still do that pregame? I suppose not.
Well this certainly captures the experience of the Whiteout as best you can on film... still nothing like being there, but damn. This was good. Chills #WEARE
@@bryan3754 You obviously don't know who Mr. Cree is because he's one of the musical directors of the Blue Band. He used to be director at Bellefonte High School.

He tired of working long hours. He pray 🙏 night.. please lord let theses white kids get spiritual visit, dream, a Christmas story McCracken ghost visit. Please lord let James brown come, please lord let Ray Charles visit, please lord let Sam Cooke visit, Marvin Gaye, Aretha, Otis someone lord please. 2 more years lord let me make to get my pension.

As a Marching Band parent I absolutely Love this !
The preparation/rehearsal looked to be exhausting... and the end result was just great.
I knew nothing about the Penn State "whiteout" game or the Blue Band participation. Oh my gosh. Great video. Great band. Great energy.
