A song that illustrates domestic violence, a day to day challenge faced by many women in South Africa. This is the story of a young woman who is abused by her partner/ husband. The young woman wishes that her relationship with her partner was like that of her parents, who have been happily married until today, despite all the challenges. She in contrary is found in an abusive home and even when she thinks the next man, who is wealthy will be better than the first, he is actually worse than the first. The ongoing abuse leads this young woman to walk out of her matrimonial home, heading to her parents’ place whilst her partner/husband pleads her to stay but sadly, the young woman walks away, leaving her partner/husband in regret.
