- Hi y’all and welcome back to our dumpster diving channel!! First things first, I just want to say thank you to everyone who tuned in for our garage sale live stream!! We had so much fun hanging out with y’all and getting to experience the sale together. A full video will be up later next week that shows our prep / sale / and the total we made!
Enjoy our first dive out after college move out - we found some really nice items and I love the watering bulbs and wooden end table. We are keeping those for our house!

Welcome back, y'all!! This was our first dive back after college move out and we found some really awesome stuff. I also really embarrass myself about 29 minutes in when someone came to throw trash away and I thought it was Alex!! I totally didn't realize until editing it back LOL! Well.. it happens! Those leaves are from a hasta plant and you need the bulbs to grow them I think

I wish I had a partner to go dumpster diving with. Going alone is just not the same. You two have so much fun and it is very evident.

I wish I had someone to go with but my husband and daughter in law both passed away this year and I'm so lonely. I need something to keep me occupied. I love your videos and your husband's deep voice reminds me of my husband's so much. It was a great haul today .😊❤🎉

The water bulbs can still be used even if the stem is broken. As long as the bulb is whole.
Or maybe sand down the broken part and use it in a smaller plant Or just to decorate. The sun is beautiful coming through those. And the mushrooms are plant watering things ☺️

Kelly, here's a tip that might help if those things still smell when you wash them. Two things to have in your arsenal...1)borax washing powder (20 mule team) 2)Tea Tree Oil. This is what I know. When I was caring for my mother before she died, sometimes I had to wash urine sheets. Borax was the only thing that got the smell out. Also, I've read that people who have had house fires used it to salvage clothing items that were okay but, smelled like soot or mildew because of the water to put the fire out. I also once left a load of clothes in the washer and forgot. UGH! I looked online and found where you could put 10 drops of Tea Tree oil in a large load of mildewed clothes to take out the odor and disinfect them. IT WORKED! Hope this helps y'all. Btw, thank you for your infectious laugh. I really needed it today.
White vinegar also makes a good laundry booster for removing odors.
I have used a big dump of baking soda and it seems to help - sometimes had to do it a couple of times. Gonna try your Borax - sounds promising!

What a great day 😊 love the fabrics the cigar boxes and lots of people use those water jugs to save coins ,I have a huge collection of old tins and all moms use to use them for buttons 😁
White vinegar will remove any stink from smelly items, I know some don't like the way vinegar smells, but there will not be any smell of vinegar after washing. And it's a great softener.

Irrigation water tool, can also use a soda bottle inverted into the soil to water plants.
But not as pretty 😊
A little tip: you can take your larger area rugs to a car wash and use the do it yourself option and wash those rugs. It’s good you have a truck to put the wet rug in to get it home.
Wash it that way first and buy some Ado-Ban. You find it at Walmart in the air freshener part and put a cup full in the wash with a very little amt of laundry doap. It will disinfect znd make it smell great. Use it on those scraps of material and clothes. For a load use a cup of the Ado-ban and half a cup of laundry soap. I use it in my smelly towels too. Try it. It's about 10.00$ a gallon. They have ut in a spray too to use around your home. 😊😊

Plant the stems. They will make a plant. My daughter does this and it works.
That cage is exactly like the one I use outdoor for my kitty. He loves to be outside with me and we have Eagles so he can’t be on his own.

You could have taken the broken ones and stuck a dowel the size of the hole into the ground or a piece of a plant rod that's plastic as decoration for outside

The big cage is for ferrets or other small animals. It's probably a Ferret Nation or Critter Nation brand or maybe even a knock-off brand. Works for kittens, too.
I'm thinking the cage is for a ferret. It's not the right kind for a bird or guinea pig which I've had before. The ugly bed was for the ferret to sleep on/ in. Just a thought.

That might be a ferret cage. There may have been ramps or something also at one time. Nice haul!
terraa cotta seepers, sounds like some sort of swamp snake, but they work for succulents and such. they are expensive sometimes. Ya gotta warm dumpster pancakes up before you eat them, it kills the mold.
The note was so heart breaking but know one said it would be easy raising children but they did say it would be worth. It had to be a single Mom doing her best, one thing her children sure loved her...

That stool brings back so many memories,my husband had one identical to that same color but he used it when he would cut our sons and grandsons hair. Unfortunately he passed away in December 14,2021 with covid

Kelly, I would sell that fabric online. I cut down my fabric stash by a lot and I sold it on Ebay, some of it went so high.
Be careful washing the fabric. I have to put smaller pieces in laundry bags or they end up getting sucked into places they shouldn't. From someone who has had to take apart their washing machine more than once when it stopped working. Another tip is yo use baking soda in yhe washer to get rid of smells. Would love to see a reveal of just the fabric, patterns, etc. 😊

Cage can be used for several kinds of pets, but since it had like a cat bed, my guess is a ferret.

Add some vinegar to your washing of clothes, if helps with smells.
Also, Pine Sol. Weird, I know. But it works!
Also a fabric softener! I use vinegar for every rinse cycle...and there's no odor!
Yep, I also put some baking soda in with the vinegar. Clothes and towels come out so soft. You don't need any fabric softner.
