Kylie Minogue feat. Dua Lipa - Real Groove (DAT)

It's summer of 1991. Someone brought home his precious, almost top of the line DAT deck (as the DTC-77ES was way too expensive) and started taping the first thing you heard on the radio, Kylie's newest hit.
Fast forward 30 years. I brought home the same DAT recorder, and started taping the first thing I heard on Apple Music, Kylie's newest hit.
Some things don't change, others do, a lot.

If I had a VHS recorder with an on-screen display, I would have recorded the first minute or so to a video cassette and captured it back to digital, with the OSD and all the VHS artefacts :) My Panasonic NV-FS200 has no OSD (and that's the reason why I prefer it)
Who knows, maybe next time :)

Sony DTC-57ES. The PCM processor is a PCM-501ES

Hát, nem mondom, végtelenül hálás lettem volna, ha ez a formátum már a 90-es évek legelejére leváltotta volna az analóg kazettákat, de hát ugye ahhoz kellett volna az is, hogy a RIAA nevű rohadékok gyülekezete ne gáncsolja a formátumot ott, ahol tudta. Hiába, az utóbbi 40-50 évben csak ártani tudtak, semmi másra nem jók azóta se.

Én ezt is és a DCC-t is sajnálom hogy nem lettek népszerűbbek. Mindkettő érdekes formátum. Bár a DAT egyértelműen jobb a veszteségmentes volta miatt. De még ezen kívül is volt formátum amit már könnyebben elérhettem volna 90-es években, de azt se tudtam mi fán terem. Pl. VHS Hi-Fi.
