Hi I really enjoy your videos, you're doing an amazing job with these! I'm having trouble finding out which year aspen plus uses as a basis for it's prices of equipment (so I can adjust for the changed costs), do you have any idea of this? I have a hard time finding it anywhere online. My thanks in advance.
@@thezulugentleman4402 Hi, I don't think we ever found anything, so we did some calculations ourselves for equipment pricing. The costs seemed to be all over the place, so we ended up just calculating all equipment prices ourselves. I don't think the Aspen numbers should be used for anything more than a ballpark figure.
@@jurgenroman2686 Thank you for the response. I prepared myself for calculating for myself. I came across a webinar that Aspen did, they didn't say the year specifically but said the pricing is pretty up to date. Basically every year they update it and it comes from reputable sources which they cannot reveal, lol. But I think I will go ahead and just do my own calculations, if I have the time try and compare the difference.
Dr Christi, in doing costing for heat exchangers when a warning pops up on capital cost like it did with your vaporiser as it doesn't show the any of its costs, how do I get around that? It says the "shell for the tube" is zero and doesn't show any costs at all.
Hi, i wanted to ask if there is any way to install the economics analyzer in Aspen? Apparently my tickbox for economics active in Aspen Plus is untickable and I figured I did not install Economics Analyzer when I first installed. Is there any way that I could get it?

Crucial question. Did you ever find out? I'm using Aspen plus v12 currently and I've been wondering the same thing.

Hi, I am using the universities computer and having this issue. Did you ever find out how?
@@TeHeOriginal The only way is you need to reinstall back the whole version of Aspen and install the additional features. There's no way around it.
