THose animations are so beautiful. Its from the playstation 1, but I feel like it has a feeling from even older animes that I really enjoy. Also made me remember about the opening from breath of fire 4 that is also very awesome. I wonder if its possible to find a good quality version of it.
it's because ryutaro nakamura directing both Popolocrois (PS1) and breath of fire 4 (PS1) Opening animation in the same production company Triangle Staff.
Howdy! Just a little confused by the title of this video/the history behind this. The PSX was released in 2003 and Popolocrois was released in 1996. Were you playing the game with backwards compatibility or something on the PSX? Thanks.
Hi. My bad ! I forgot that PSX was released after Playstation. I edited the title of the video. As mentioned in the description, the sequences comes from the first Playstation game. I never played to it because I don't understand japanese, but I have the cutscenes in AVI on my drive since the early 2000s. Part of my favorite games FMVs ever.
This artsyle is so fucking gorgeous, and it's animated with goddamn skill

The animation reminds me of the Final Fantasy OVA from that time
From what i remember, well known animator Mitsuo Iso who animated this whole scene 4:13 was one of the animators in Final Fantasy OVA
Can't see your answer to my comment. It shows there is one but when I click it it doesn't show anything

Wow really? The PlayStation is broadly known as "PSX" since it's code name was PSX. The term is used almost 99.9% to refer to the PlayStation One.
