This is absolutely awesome. Absolutely. Although the song was written for a different reason, I- and many others of our generation- can only look back with nostalgia at the summer side of our lives. No matter how we try to stay on the summer side of life. Thank you for posting this.

This is Gordon Lightfoot's songwriting at its peak. And Rick Haynes's bass parts were absolutely integral to Gordon's songs as much as Red's and Terry's second guitars. This was a magical teaming.
Absolutely, these bass parts were one my greatest influences in becoming a bass player, and I have always favoured this song.
This tribute was spot on- it gave me goosebumps to think of Gordon looking down from heaven smiling!
It was a fantastic concert.....could have sat through many more hours of it. What a beautiful tribute by so many Canadian greats for a great Canadian icon. He was " there" watching. Not one act grandstanded....all were there for Gordon !!

I hope Burton Cummings was given an opportunity to play something at this concert. I saw him onstage to the left. Also, where was Randy Bachman? Perhaps he had a prior engagement.
