That thing is awesome. I've got a Bethany tent trailer that my dad and I set up at night in super high winds elk hunting in northern Az at night in 15min. It was cold with strong winds and once we set up we went to bed. In the morning we were proud of how well we set up the night before because the canvas was so taught then we realized why it was so taught. It snowed almost 2ft while we slept. So cold the propane froze and we couldn't cook and snow so deep our Scout 800 couldn't get around much but it still out performed most other vehicles. The biggest problem came when we were breaking down to go home. Dad didn't consider the snow load when he went to lower the roof and nearly lost all his fingers. I only had my learners permit so the stubborn old man wouldn't let me drive and he drove the 150 miles home half out of his mind with pain. I still give him hell about that 30yrs later.

Absolutely brilliant! The time I spent in Darwin I saw my fare share of campers, but this one tops them all! Brilliant design! Its basically a spare house!

The original X1 is still a really great package that essentially originated from South Africa. I have the SA equivalent set up on Jurgens XT trailer. Although the X1 is a much more durable and capable trailer with all the fittings. Justin has really excelled in the offroad compact camper market.

I like the trailer concept. And this is exactly what i would want. Free up room in the jeep for the kids or more storage. And when not camping or traveling, it can be kept in the garage.
No need for permanent vehicle conversions with this. Leaving the jeep open to much more options

With the new tent and bedding arrangement, this is now a winner. The old style "rooftop tent" was what originally put me off these, and I was seriously looking at one of the South African imports. This trailer is now far superior to (and cheaper than) its South African competitors. There is simply no other trailer on the market in Australia that comes close to this.
Very impressive setup, I have to give this option a serious consideration.
HOLY SHIT! Most amazing thing we've seen. That kids room needs some insulation though. Our Saturday nights get a little crazy when we've had a few ;)

That is without a doubt the nicest most efficient tent camp trailer I've ever seen! It isn't a mistake it took the blue ribbon 3 yrs in a row. It's simply out of the average persons price range. Makes for a good dream though. If I ever have the finances I'll be giving you boys a call. Very impressive, totally professional.

Wonderful machines, if you're on safari or living in the outback.. Rather expensive for most folks but it sure is beautiful..
I thought it would be a small, light weight job that a person could pull to the campsite..
Needs to be insulated for our nice winters.

personally i would go for just my hammock, but for a group this is by far the way to go
I thought that was a great utilization of space, in the camper. One of the items that I look at!! The idea of a sky view I found very appealing. It is light weight, and a person has to factor that in for gas consumption. One item, that may be considered is, storage bags attached to the inside sleeping area. Big question, is, how long does it take to take the camp down?? Looks like it would be fun, going camping down under!!! Cheers from Canada!!!

You can add an 'altered nozzle' to the sink and shower, reduces water usage by 90%^.

All I know is that when I'm out in the wilderness camping with my family, I don't want no goddamn feral midgets crawling through my tent windows when I'm trying to sleep. Forest midgets come out at night, you know?

If you have a sensitive nose, the fabrics will hold the smell due to oils.

You should try do that tent with a portable woodstove! For us here in Nothern sweden that wants to explore in the harsh winters.

I can't see how any other camper could come close to this. The Swiss army one is a great one but way over priced in my opinion. Seriously ppl you blew the lid off with the craftsmanship. Amazing!

Should design a model that folds open on the top for a loft and then have two tent rooms on each side with tent wet baths you can attach to each room that have a cartridge toilet and cartridge shower. You could even design the tent material to be insulated so you can having heating and cooling. Luxury models.
You say that your camper is good for any camping, but I think your wrong. I live in Canada and I bet -40 hasn't been tested in it, now you send me one and I'll make sure for you!

Yeah, those mud tires and laser cut decals really help it go off road. "Not a pole in sight". Except for the poles you have to use to set half of it up
Just so people know this is not for camping tents or for camping this is for traveling people that like to go from one side of the country to the other and actually do something other than standing next to a tree and telling their friends they’ve got outside
