As a not so affectionate older sibling who is not the nicest in a lot of ways, I’m sorry for anyone who has a sibling like me, including my first sister. I promise Ill try harder to be better and show how much I really do care. Kids don’t put into consideration how important this sibling bond is. Me being youngest, my siblings wanted nothing to do with me unless it was to hurt me physically or mentally in some way, and that messed up my emotional development incredibly.
My siblings and I are very close today, but yeah I have two older sisters that were very upset with my addition to the home, which led to some form of abandonment issues or imposter syndrome. Impossible to work through with them because, really, how do you look at someone that loves you and tell them they’ve made you the person you are today, when they still can’t stand you? They try. That’s all you can give.
