I think my favorite Christmas song, it's so hard to choose, is Oh, Holy Night. My favorite Christmas movie, is probably It's A Wonderful Life, but there's another I can't remember the name of, but Steven Curtis Chapman is a pastor at a Church where Baby Jesus has been stolen from the outdoor Nativity. I like them all, but the one's that are about the REAL Christmas are my very favorites. I haven't had a tree for probably 20 years, but I bought a fake (ugh!) one this year b/c I don't think I have many Christmas's left. I've been alone for many years & Christmas has become just another day, celebration-wise. I'm disabled & can't even cook a nice dinner! First I read Luke 2, then I watch Christmas movies & read Christmas stories. That's it! I guess you could say, it's just Jesus & me! And except for the loneliness shoved behind me for a day, that's OK! I wish you & yours a Very Merry Christmas & a Blessed New Year to come!

Find a church that you can contribute your time and gifts or talents that God gave you and make some friends and family in Christ while you are there helping that church in anyway that you can.
We don't go to church just for ourselves but for others.
(Attend every event the church has, if possible.)

Joe, I am new in my walk with Jesus , and until recently I hadn’t heard of Christmas being pagan but I can say that for me even before I truly gave my life to Christ, it has always been about Jesus’ birth. Of course we had all the bells and whistles but I knew it was Jesus birthday. I’ve also suffered on Christmas. My mom died in 2019, my papa in 2020, my mamaw and my aunt in 2021, and my dad in 2022. So after my entire family passed, and my daughter’s dad left me, and he tried to keep my daughter from me… I spent my first Christmas in 30 years, all alone.
The pain that day, I look back now, 3 years later and lots of healing and lost of time spent with God crying and talking to him… I feel the Christmas magic this year… it came back.. and I’m even more excited to celebrate Jesus with my daughter and my sweet Nan, who loves Jesus so much.
You are right when you say Christmas means something different to everyone. I’m just happy to have Jesus in my heart this Christmas ❤❤🥰🥰
I’ve been a Christian for years, 69 y/o now, but about 7-8 years ago I took a step back and decided I couldn’t celebrate Christmas any longer. A few family members shrugged, some frustrated, some wished they could do the same thing. I’m at peace with my decision.

As a child when I watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and Linus explained to Charlie what Christmas is all about...I remember being so moved when he recited the Bible and how Jesus came to save us. Wow. And the Grinch finding out that even though he stole everything, Christmas came anyway. The Whos in Whoville still sang and had joy without presents or food, etc. Those were the two Christmas shows that I loved so much and still do. I hate the commercial side of Christmas but I agree that it's a great time to share the joy and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas, everyone!
You know it was after watching that Charlie Brown Christmas that my family decided that we would have a birthday cake for Jesus every year on Christmas instead of pies and candy we also put up a stocking just for baby Jesus can we eat wrote a note to Jesus of what we wanted to give him in the coming year like putting aside a special day just for him what we would pray or help a neighbor or do a kind deed for someone things like that it made Christmas all the more holy

Here's the thing...Everyone celebrates Christmas. Even if they don't believe in Jesus. So how can we tell who represents Christ if everyone is doing it? If 100 people is doing the same thing, no one stands out. If 1 person out the 100 is doing something else, everyone notices it. This is how we draw attention to Christ. We are called to be set apart so that the world will know that our Father in heaven is different from the rest of these lower case g gods. Nothing pagan will ever be Holy and nothing Holy will ever be pagan🙏🏾

Joe, you have inspired me so much since I started watching your videos! You certainly have the gift of encouragement and it shows. I can just sense the holy spirit speaking through you in your videos. What a gift it is to have inspiring videos without ads, and even more so from a man convicted to obey God despite the money that is in his grasp. This speaks volumes to your credibility. This speaks volumes to who you serve. This speaks to my heart and inspires me to give. In fact, I gave $7000 to a missionary charity recently, which is a very large sum for me. Believe me, I could have used that money very much. But I trust in God to provide. He has never let me down. I say this not to brag, but to inspire others and to hopefully encourage you to continue what you are doing because your videos have been an inspiration, they have touched my heart, and helped me overcome the thoughts of hoarding God's money to myself. The thought of snatching God's money before his hand to use for my own personal leisure has crossed my mind, and I would by lying if I said it didn't. But greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world and those thoughts were smothered. I am not as elegant as you when it comes to speaking about God, but I can share my testimony and I can hopefully bring some encouragement to you because you know that your time and effort are not in vain. As a fellow Christian, I know that you would do these videos and spend these hours upon hours every week, even if it only saved one soul. Because we know that God did not have to spare us, yet He was merciful and gracious to lift us out of our filth and cleanse us. And we know that by sharing the gospel we are not going above and beyond reproach, but we are merely doing what we ought to do as servants to Christ, for we are not our own, we were bought at a price. I am always glad to see Christians still celebrating Christmas, whoever low key they decide they want to make it. It's a concerning trend that so many are turning against Christmas. However commercially overdone it's become, it's still a wonderful time of year, when the gospel is opened up to people who wouldn't otherwise want to hear it. I know God works all things together for good, and definitely uses the Christian world making this a huge and glamorous holiday to Jesus.
They want to be rid of Christmas, then they can get rid of Jesus. The bible speaks of when they cut a tree down with an axe was about making false idols carved out of wood then melting their gold to deck the false idol. The scripture is being twisted by many.

While Christmas can be a maddening time of gross commercialism it is also a beautiful time. For me it is a quiet time of reflection, a time to meet with family and friends and a time focus on the importance of a Savior coming into this world.

I'm positive that every format is good for reaching different people. My 16 years old son has lately told me that he finds your messages with illustrative video clips super fascinating! The same time shorts are amazing, since they literally just take a minute to watch and hammer in some truths fast and effective. For me as a person from your generation, I also love longer preaching videos or this very 'coffee natter' :) I will keep watching and sharing!

Regular uploads on the main channel makes sense but I wouldn't force God's hand on the auxiliary, post when you are inspired to.
As for ministry in 2024, I would consider more subtle means. Let us be wise.
We know how effective means of reaching the subconscious mind are, so in these times of hostility perhaps a more passive approach would be better.
For example, a poster campaign with a simple thought such as "ONLY JESUS SAVES" will plant that thought into the person and can later grow by the grace of God.

Praise God for this comment! It’s so heartbreaking how many Christians compromise and don’t care. Why aren’t we celebrating Jewish feast days, instead, especially since that’s what Jesus actually preached? Also, Jewish feast days are so closely tied to the Bible, whereas these pagan holidays just make the world view us as hypocrites ( *speaking from experience, as I failed to evangelize my Muslim friends because of these stupid pagan holidays they think are “Christian holidays.” I’ve also had pagan friends call Christians hypocrites for “stealing their holidays”* ). No one cares that it hurts the testimony of Jesus Christ!😤

We cannot twist scriptures to be in the world. These worldly man commanded feast days are pagan and have pagan roots The tree, the idols, secret santa, santa stealing the show, (satan in disguise, a cryptic word) all this confusion does not make sense at all. Didn't our God say, I will not share my glory with another.

Our God is not the author of confusion. If an unbeliever asks to point out where is Christmas mentioned in the bible, are we able to point it out??Theywill know it's a lie. No wonder people fall away soon.

Regarding Friday Crucifixion another man commanded day, please do the math. If Yeshua Jesus Christ said like Jonah in the whale's belly, He would be in the heart of the earth, for 3 days and 3 nights, does it add up from Friday afternoon ..??

You are so right, with blemishes on our soul we cannot enter heaven, so Jesus had to take all of our blemishes, and Jesus became briefly separated from God, and He purified us, but we have to accept that His blood cleanses us. Its our only way to be united with God. Without accepting God and Jesus, we will stay unsaved and dead in Christ. Sin separates us from God so we need sin removed which we cant do it on our own. I told my family years ago (when I was in my late 20s) that I wouldn't be participating in the gift exchange anymore. Even in my Christian family it was obviously taking over the holiday. I didn't mean to cause any issues, but I'm happy I did. The focus on gifts gradually went away and now we gather to be together, fellowship and surround each other in love and grace instead of material gifts and tinsel.❤️🔥

My mom died on Christmas morning 2017 from a long goodbye due to Alzheimer’s. I truly believe she saw the face of Jesus on His birthday…Yes, I know it’s not really His birthday-but it helps me through this season.
