It’s not in the same map. It’s a completely new map, new location, set in Limveld. It’s Solo or Multiplayer and puts you into a procedurally generated map called Limveld, where each session is limited to only a 3 day, day - night cycle. During the day you gather strength, level up, find new gear and get prepared, beat bosses etc. When nightfall hits you’ll need to do a boss fight in order to progress to the next day. Each day will get progressively more challenging, after the final nightfall you’ll then have the chance face the night-lord. Defeating him will earn special rewards. That run will then be completed, where you can start a new run. All locations, landmarks, enemies and bosses as well as the map itself will be completely different each time you play. If you die during the day, you will go to a discovered site of grace, if you die in the night you’ll lose and the run will end, forcing you back to Day 1. This is just a quick summary I made but it can be found in a longer form on their website.

No pvp, no invasions, your “rewards” won’t carry over to base game and instead will stay with this spinoff. This game is going to get extremely repetitive really fast. A lot of the game is just bosses and enemies we’ve already beaten 100’s of times.
