I feel like most Shonen authors tend to write themselves into a corner by focusing too hard on one focal point, but togashi is at the point now where he has true narrative freedom to take the story in whatever direction he wants which is truly magnificent
Right?! Like any character could be the main character in any given chapter and they would fit perfectly. And it’s such an awesome thing to see the story from different peoples perspectives.
It’s always a possibility that Nobunaga is actually the last spider, and the only one who survives Hisoka. He gives off that last survivor/only survivor energy
oh def, i've always thought Nobu would be the last survivor. he's the spider with the most sympathetic portrayal of "my friend FUCKING DIED" and stuff. so it just makes sense for Kurapika's spider murder mission to end with: "just like those who murdered your family, you've now killed a family. is this what you wanted?"
My guess for Nobby's ability is pretty much what we already saw: Expands his aura, enhances his sword, and similar to Killua preprograms his nen to move his body and swing his sword towards anything entering his aura field automatically without his input.
Hinrigh and Nobunaga do actually make a devastating combo in combat. Hinrighs hatsu can manage multiple opponents and anyone who takes their eye off of Nobunaga for a brief second is toast. But the last time we saw the Hei-Li they were getting instructed in the basics of combat against a nen user. So hoping for some very creative tactics as a few members were close to getting their nen ability
Phinx talks about Specialzation just like we Fans do. As if it's not its own thing but only mimics all the other Types. If he were to see someone just summon Armor that boost Body-Strength, he'd say "This is clearly Enhancement+Cojuration... OR Specialzation."
To be more specific with Nobunaga's abilities now knowing that he's an Enhancer-Transmuter, I think his ability is likely to involve sharpening his aura, or at the very least he does it naturally to increase his overall attack potency.
My shot is he can make his sword attack range bigger with his aura, probably using it as trumph when the opponent thinks he is not in range, then surprise him in a lethal way.
I think the point of HxH is to explore the "human condition": so much of nen is about converting your will power into real world power, and we focus on characters with strong personalities seeking to acheive their goals. The show in some ways sets up an exploration of evil with some of the antagonists, as well as the potential for human growth (see the Troupe or the Chimera ant arcs).
I think if the spiders survive this arc, Hinrigh is the perfect replacement for Pakunoda. He is an intel gatherer like her and he appears to be trustworthy.
The beautiful thing is it doesn't matter if if asking if you would join or not as relevant. He's already with an organization but given where the stories going I would say they're going to be some people dying eventually and maybe his whole group will be disbanded. They keep talking about balance but what if they actually lose all this talent? Or what if they all defeat more right now? And me and I think that there's a good chance for him to be killed the display someone's power or he'll be coming back if he survives.
They seem to be pretty doomed right now, but for all we know Hinrigh and Nobunaga could just as well be the only two survivors of the Spiders and Mafia families by the end of the arc.
I for one want to see more of Feitan Edit: I also would like to see more of Bonolenov ; I was shocked whenever he first used his nen and his Jupiter was superb. I wonder if he has more to offer
Since nobunaga is leaning more on transmutation, its safe to say the best bet is that he can extend the range of his sword with transmutation like gon's scissors, he could also have an enhancement hatsu that allows him to draw his sword out stronger and faster the longer he holds to his sword, and my other prediction would be that nobunaga can create a portal to teleport himself to the last guy he killed with his sword.(luini)
Im pretty sure Uvogin and Nobunaga are representations of killua and gon just as Troop members. Their friendship that goes beyond the rest of the group, even the way they fight. Nobunaga being precise and deadly with insane speed and Uvogin being a big brawler.
Nobu has become my fav in the last few years after uvo.... I think Hunter Hunter has become more about the characters than about the story anymore It used to be about a boy trying to find his father didn't want to be found now it's more about the daily life of characters so it's like friends just with abilities
Yall are half right, its very character driven and the detail Togashi goes thru to expand a character is beyond beautiful but we cannot forget the world building which he has mad the story. Everything about where the phantom troupe came from, the voyage we are literally on and place we headed to. Which wouldnt be happening if the Ant Arc didn’t happen. Even before that at the very beginning, it was about discovering nen then discovering the world of nen that Gon’s dad is so immersed in all being expanded on just cause this kid wants to find his dad
@@Just_Tyree We get little pieces of world building here and there throughout the story but it was never the focus. Right now more than ever there is a bigger focus on worldbuilding than there ever was , with the kakin stuff and the dark continent especially , but even then the story is more focused on characters rather than the world. I think itwill be a lot more world building in the dark continent arc.
True to some extent. At the end, everything up till now is building up to something, something big that's about to go down and that Togashi is just feeding us the appetizers.
I wrote this in a narrative analysis I did of Hunter x Hunter for a uni course. Togashi has always been ahead of the curve in terms of his storytelling. I think what we are seeing now is an evolution of the hero team formula of shonen. Classically, you'd have 'n' people with different histories and goals united in pursuing a singular objective - think becoming the pirate king or rescuing Rukia. In Hxh, we're exploring the differences among the main cast. Each arc centers around a different protagonist and according to his personality and the theme of his existence, the manga seems to shift across genres over time. Therefore, we're moving away from the kind of stories that explore 1 theme from beginning to end to stories that explore one then move on to the next, meaning here is no singular "point" of Hunter x Hunter only of the arc.
I do find a connection tho between all this characters, which is the idea of being a hunter; someone determimed to achieve a certain goal with patience, strategy and observation in the context of a ruthless yet beautiful world, like nature. I think that theme really connects and unifies the stories so you know this is hxh and not something else
@@Sofia-zi9qo Given the difficulty and lethality of the hunter exam, only a committed person could pass it. That commitment could be wrt anything, that variety of goals combined with the very free nature of a hunter (as opposed to a ninja in the Naruto world who all undertake similar sort of missions for the same limited set of objectives) means that the journey of any hunter as a hero of his own story would be remarkably distinct. e,g, is there any similarity in the stories of Melody and Ging? And does the very first protagonist of HxH, Gon, exhibit any of the qualities you mentioned - patience, strategy, observation?
@@jitenverma3762 helloo! What I meant by hunter was not the hunter from the association but something more abstract. I think Gon exhibits those qualities from the beginning and learn about them from the first time he encounters Kite, he is then fishing...then fishing hisoka stuff...about Melody I think she is also someone with determination that have to deal with the crazy merciless world of nen and its moral dilemas
@@Sofia-zi9qo Fishing is an activity that requires patience, Gon displaying patience when fishing does not indicate that he is a patient person on the whole. None of the characteristics you mentioned are embodied in him but in his journey as a character he would come to develop them, maybe On Melody's determination, as I said only a very determined person would pass the Hunter exam. That's just an outcome of the nature of the exam. If one were to write the story of Melody vs Ging over 20-30 chapters, they would be completely disparate stories is my point because their entire existences are fundamentally very very different
@@jitenverma3762 hello :) I didnt mean that they were patient entirely, none is haha just that it is a quality that is emphasized in the story and stories of HxH. I think that this is a manga that can be linked to very interesting ideas like posthumanism and deep ecology which have to do with those qualities. Cheers :3
I feel like Nobu's ability is a reactive ability with his sword, almost like his own personal landmine to react to attacks. Could lightly fit his enhancer trait.
Just a theory In my view, Nobunaga already uses his hatsu. Almost every time he stops to kill someone, he says something like "Don't do that, or I'll cut you", his hatsu can be just a command that if the target disobeys the next cut is strengthened.
Maybe you're correct, even when he was about to go in a fight with hisoka he backed off and said "forget about it, you're hard to deal with" and then boom turned and attacked hisoka, maybe he knew someone will stop him and decides to play dumb then attack off guard and still get stoped by chrollo
I love the funny edits you make with gon and other characters. Makes my day so much better while learning about the show. Please continue your amazing work.
I think Togashi has already stated, what the real goal of HxH is…. „You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest. Because that's where you'll find the things more important than what you want.”
Illumi is still acting weird. Lord knows what's up there. The idea that we saw the real Hisoka hinges entirely on the assumption that Illumi wouldn't be a great actor. And we don't know if that is true.
Spot on about the 'point' of HH. I'm just addicted to the story and want to see where everything goes. If I were to find out I had a crazy rare disease and was dying, I would just want to know what was gonna happen in rest of story before I go
To me it seems like he'll have a quick flash step type ability, one that can close any gap so he could quickly incapacitate Sarasa's killers before they even had the chance to move
I'm looking forward to seeing more Leorio sometime, right now he's working his ass off and I wonder how much of a better doctor he'll be once we reach the dark continent.
There’s a leaked page in the ch 399 thread which shows nobunaga piercing a person’s (presumably an enemy) head with his sword. Following this, the sword and the entirety of nobunaga began glowing with aura. Since there’s no translation out yet, I can only assume his hatsu is related to absorbing something but I don’t know what
The heily base is a maze for outsiders, they probably just put teleportation at every door, so only the members can travel normally. They should be on high alert after the first guard tp'd, they must've realized to send in 2 randos after that, must've been done by skilled nen users. So there'll be trap
One of thing Togashi has said about Hunter X Hunter is that he's writing it for himself which is probably why it doesn't have an end goal in sight. From what I understand, he wanted to take Yu Yu Hakusho in a different direction after the Dark Tournament arc, going back to more detective type cases, but the success of the Dark Tournament, he got pushed into what the editors wanted which was more battle-punching things, so that was part of the many, many reasons why it started to take a dark turn in Chapter Black and why the Three Kings arc feels rushed. Shonen Jump was taking away his creative freedom with his story, so his only move to get control of Yu Yu Hakusho back was to end it. That way, he wouldn't be forced to write more battle-punching since back then he had to listen to what SJ wanted, but now he has much more leeway to ignore people trying to pressure him into writing anything he doesn't want to write.
I love that you’re doing these updates! I feel like I’m reading it in real time without having to read . (One day I will have time.) Thank you for your videos!❤
I've always been under the impression that Nobunaga was a typical super-focused Enhancer. Given his weapon of choice, I believe he's an expert user of Shu (enveloping his tools in aura to enhance their capabilities) and his self-limited En. Unsure if Transmutation would be necessary towards this end, but it couldn't hurt to give his sword strikes some additional fanciness, or just extra sharpness. Perhaps he's like Gon, dipping into Emission as well, sending ranged slices with a sword swing. I kind of doubt this one, tbh, it doesn't seem to fit his style. Nobunaga seems more like a 'traditional' swordsman than an 'anime' swordsman.
I expect it's a simple sharpness transmutation to increase the swords effective reach. His en range is purely defensive, so it would let him lure people in thinking they know his range. Only at will the swords length is doubled due to aura. That's still different to the sword/Lasers you se in many shows because it's not uses like a fired shot. It's still acts like a sword, with the tip moving in time with the handle.
@orcmcc (This one got away from me, so TL;DR I believe Nobunaga is an agility- and sensory-oriented Enhancer, as opposed to Gon and Uvogin's raw strength and durability. His swordsmanship employs Enhanced precision and mobility to connect at range, rather than a fancier Transmutation ability to do the same thing.) I agree that Nobu probably uses some form of Transmutation to make his sword cut better, but I doubt it's that complicated. He'd have to extend his aura, make it sharp and rigid enough to cut through his target, and connect it firmly to his sword to take advantage of his physical sword skills. That's a complex string of tasks to ask a natural Enhancer to do efficiently. And the Troupe, who probably learned Nen together, all have quite efficient abilities. It makes far more sense to me that he's using Shu to Enhance his sword's natural cutty-ness and durability, and aura-Enhancing his own body's perception and agility. Combine that with his very specific En range, and you've got a fighter with deadly precision, especially one-on-one. We've seen him be frighteningly quick on his feet a couple times on the boat, which supports this idea. Given his skill with the sword, I doubt he needs to be that physically strong to cut through things with his Shu'd sword (he's only the ninth strongest in the Troupe). A sharp knife takes much less effort to cut with, if it's wielded with skill. Precise footwork is also very important to a swordsman, so it stands to reason that Nobu's Nen would be particularly good at augmenting those skills. Side note, I think this is also why Nobu is always so relaxed and willing to walk into danger. He knows no one can catch him off guard, and that his reactions are fast enough to handle whatever comes at him. Per his agreement with Chrollo, he's expendable. His abilities are designed to handle the situations an expendable member gets thrown into. ...I got more, but this has derailed far enough. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
my only way of being notified there is a new chapter of HxH is when you post a video about it. by getting sick i wasnt made aware of chapter 396 until 397 came out. so thank you for giving me a double dose of HxH by getting sick
I think right now the "point" of HunterxHunter is just "get to the Dark Continent." As we know both Leorio and Kurapika are on the ship, and Gon is aware of the outside world because of Ging, and is currently traveling with Killua and Alluka, who herself is possessed by something *from* the Dark Continent. Right now we're more or less experiencing the time skip that would normally be hand-waved in other mangas. There's a chance we'll meet up with the crew sometime later after the Succession War is done and everyone is safely landed.
The point is to go to the dark continent. That’s the base goal. And so many powerful people are on one ship. That’s insane. The level of detail togashi has been giving is truly awesome. He can even make the mundane interesting. But ultimately we are getting something we didn’t know we needed.
I'm so happy I found your channel, I'm absolutely OBSESSED with the Troupes backstory right now and nobody I know is reading hxh. I gotta say, it's so darn cute and somehow they're even more likeable now :3
This probably isnt a new thought. This morning I woke up and realized that there is a pattern to the portrayal of nen in the story, sort of. Heaven's Arena introduced nen as a priviliged power, Yorknew introduced the idea that Nen could be used ethically badly at scale, Greed Island introduced what is possible through nen, the Chimera Ant arc introduced what happens when the wrong beings have access to nen, and the Succession War arc seems to be showing what happens when the wrong people have access to nen at scale.
I would have to say even a ranged ability may not be as effective against Nobunaga as one may suspect. Remember anything within the 4m range. As in anything that enters that 4m range. Shooting at him would only give him a split second to split the projectile. A sniper like ability would have the best chance if you are relying on a ranged ability to take him out. Though I think destroying the entire area would be most effective.
I think Nobunaga's ability will function somewhere in between Killua's godspeed and the instant sheath to slice anime swordsmen troupe. Perhaps he refined it to the point where he can't completely eviscerate anything that steps within his en, which is why he warned Gon and Killua in Yorknew that if they crossed he couldn't stop himself from killing them
I think your right about "the point" but it could also be Ging and by extension maybe Don... Gon's mission to find his dad may b over but his Ging opened us up to dark continent and now were are exploring this world beyond what gon could ever have imagined aswell as rounding out characters like spiders and kurapika.
Completely unrelated but have you ever considered talking about yu yu Hakusho as extra supplementary content during the inevitable breaks? Its one of if not my favorite anime and is from Togashi. It also has lots to delve into concept wise and really laid the foundation for HxH. Even down to the protagonists team. Yusuke / Gon Imperfect MC who fights using perfected basic techniques, Kuabara / Leoreo Loudmouth with a good heart, Heie / Killua Edgy fast assassin and Kurama / Kurapika mature with a unique background and special abilities. There are also themes especially after these most recent chapters that are echoed from Yu Yu Hakusho now being used in HxH. Chapter Black tape and Sinsuie being corrupted from the darkness of humanity and the phantom troupe really seem to go hand in hand. Would love to see your analysis.
Hearing Liam mention jujutsu kaisen makes me want to go back and watch his videos about it. If you ever go back to covering it I would click so fast, you did a great job covering it.
I love this manga absolutely love it, im truly just happy to see it continuing. Nobunaga is growing on me fast but i feel we seen Togashi do this before, makes us like someone then take em away. We know this shit can get dark
im just glad bro that u gave me an explanation on why we didnt get chapter 396 in ur channel, if im honest i dont have much time to read manga cuz of my work, its easier for me to just hear something while im working so videos are the way to go for me. glad u are doing better fam, keep up the good work keeping us up to date with this amazing series.
@1:20 this must be a trope for samurai in manga. In the story/manga of Vagabond one of Musashi's rivals after his biggest fight slaying almost 100 men, he explains to Musashi that his 'technique' of laying down a circle and saying "i'll only attack you if you enter my circle" is the reach of his sword. So to avoid this limitation just get a longer sword.
I don't think the first Troupe member to die will be Nobunaga, I think it will be the first Troupe member to give that one guy the signature he so desperately wants. That could be Nobunaga, or it could be any of the other members. I really wish there was an English release of volume zero. Sheila is a very important character to the past of both the Troupe and Kurapika. I really want to see what happened.
@@sippinlosses I've read volume 0, I more mean I wish I could have it on my shelf. And with wanting to know more about Sheila I mean where Togashi takes her and how he fills in the gap between the Troupe flashback and the Kurta Massacre.
By the way I remember Phinks saying something on the lines of that Nobunagas Nen abilities are only effektive in a 1 on 1 duell... I'm pretty intetested in how he would do against multiple enemies as he might has to face now
while I would be happy to see some cool Nobunanga ability largely because Togashi's creativity is unparalleled, it appears like an enhancer is best when he/she focuses on enhancing physical fighting abilities rather than creating some specific Hatsu magic. Even Netero made a non enhancer specific Hatsu and spent a large portion of his life honing martial arts skills. In fact, making Gon focus on a Hatsu might have inadvertently led to his terrible end. Togashi chose not to introduce the HxH world's power system for a reasonably long time which is a huge departure from "normal" shonen with power systems. Either it is a known system from the start (like say for example Chakra/Ninjutsu in Naruto) or it's "invisible" but rapidly revealed to the protagonists/audience (like Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisen). But Nen is unknown to many main characters and to us until part way through Heaven's Arena. This allowed Togashi to showcase the creative ingenuity of Gon without Nen. A quality he unfortunately slowly loses over the course of the story. For most (possibly all) characters who develop Hatsu, it expands their horizons and makes them more versatile including with the possibility of improving their techniques over time adding extra variables (Kurapika's extra chain, Chrollo's bookmark, Hisoka's gum+texture, Killua's God speed, etc). But sadly, while Gon starts with a potentially variable Hatsu of Rock+Paper+Scissors, as the stakes increase over time and his frustration with his weakness grows, his view on his Nen/Hatsu narrows instead. I mean he has essentially always been outclassed in every single arc he enters and unlike other Shonen protagonists, he never actually rises to become the "conqueror" by the end these arcs. But at the beginning he just continues to take on challenges and use creativity to progress. However, once he focuses on just becoming more and more "powerful" and throws out paper and scissors presumably because he decided, as an enhancer, rock would get him to "strength" faster, he becomes hyper focused (as Gon does) on just making his fist more and more powerful. Until we see him incapable of using the Gon creativity we used to love and devolve into someone who can only punch over and over and over again. It is possible that other enhancers who were not child geniuses, who did not "cheat" and had their Nen nodes opened forcibly so early, developed their Nen slower and were more mature by the time they learned about Hatsu and were able to realize that enhancement skills are better used to bolster other abilities like recovery, agility, speed, etc rather than be used to concentrate a massive amount of power into one fist. I remain impressed at how cohesive Togashi is at telling stories about characters and how their unique personalities manifest through their abilities.
Ironically I still think illumi is hisoka theory still holds water if you think of how our favorite murder clown dress be it for battle or casual as seen with illumi during election arc hisoka always has his hair up the only times we see it down is after he takes a shower/bath with which illumi was last seen asking about
I want a real like hatsu where I can conjure a notebook and pencil. And sketch object that materialize in the real world. The cut is the longer time spend drawing/detailing the more power/hardy. So fast 5 second images would break easy.
The Nen chart Togashi drew showed Nobunaga was transmutation leaning, and considering he is much more precise than Uvo, maybe he is also able to transmute a longer blade of aura attached to his sword to assist with long range.
ToGOATshi introduced a new character and without backstory at all he already has depth, his writing skill and vibe building is damn top notch. GOAT for a reason
I think the only upside to Nobunaga dying is the possibility of Heinrigh either joining the spiders or continuing on into the Dark Continent. He's level headed, impartial in his judgment, and rather bold in his actions. I'd love to see a storyline, maybe years from now, where he and some of the other characters we know and love get to spend some time together, like Gon and Killua did with Hisoka on Greed Island.
Lol that theory is interesting to me. Not sure how likely it is, but would be a super twist. I like the part about Pariston being part of original Spiders that would be kinda cool imo
Idk with how Togashi didn't show all of Sensui's personalities, I'm pretty sure we only saw 3. And how he didn't even show all of kites crazy slots weapons, we may not get to see Nobunagas ability.
Even though Nobunaga is an Enhancer-Transmuter I feel like it would be interesting if his ability was an Emitter technique where he uses flying slash attacks like swordsmen in One Piece to compensate for his clearly close-range fighting style. It also seems like the kind of simplistic idea that he would come up with
Phinx talks about Specialzation just like we Fans do. As if it's not its own thing but only mimics all the other Types. If he were to see someone just summon Armor that boost Body-Strength, he'd say "This is clearly Enhancement+Cojuration... OR Specialzation."

@@darkoplax7688 Bruh , there is not much up for debate here ... Shalnark directly confirms the fortune back in greed island arc , he quite clearly confirms the line "east is the direction to go" refers to greed island and that chrollo tried coming to GI looking for the exorcist but was tped off by razor, so we can quite easily deduce that the line " you will find one who awaits you" refers to the nen exorcist. and the "search out new allies" from what i can tell refers to the people he hired to go east for him to greed island since he had no nen , which is hisoka ( this part is not directly confirmed though in the manga , so it's my speculation). If you don't believe me go read it yourself in the manga on chapter 149. Also the fortunes from neon only predict what is going to happen in that month it is written , The recent events with hinrigh are many months later.
Uvogin’s big bang fist and Gon’s JanKen are literally the same thing. If Gon hadn’t rushed his life experience to defeat Pitou, I would guess that he would’ve eventually grown to be similar to Uvo.
My theory is that shiela's expedition when she met kurapika and found the kurata clan was from some Intel she found about sarisa's killer' next target, that being the kurata clan. I'm thinking she wanted to confirm the location first, then she got injured and was not able to get back to meteor city to tell the troupe in time. It would explain why she left without saying goodbye when she got better. She then told chrollo and the others about what she found out, they go to where the clan was but was too late. Chrollo realizing that an artist whose proud enough to display their work is proud enough to not let anyone take credit to their work and that's why the troupe made it so the world would think that they did it. Maybe shiela was so traumatized by what happened, maybe she saw pairo's body and just lost it,maybe took her life or just went batshit crazy
I agree with the idea togashi is tying up plot lines Gyro, Periston V. Ging, Phantom Troop V Krapika. As well as the Kite situation, the zoldyks and Leorio and the New world/ secession War as the back drop but the last to may have been covered or just end like Kuabra’s arch and the series uses Gon’s hunt for Ging and Ging’s hunt for His Ancestor as book ends for the series

What I find interesting is that the fanbase likes Henry much in the same way the Phantom troop trusts him. Henry has a bit of a silver tongue, enough so where he can navigate other people which easily makes him likable up front. To see it reflected through his rising popularity I find very interesting.
I selected the ??? answer, because I think Nobunaga will die on the Black Whale, but I think it will be after all the Hei-Ly stuff, and I wasn't sure what the boundary of the question was
Seeing as Nobunaga is an Enhancer with a lean toward Transmutaion I could imagine Nobunaga enhancing the sword with some sort of elemental ability to go along with it
Can’t wait to see Kurapika again in chapter 400. Hope we get to see queen Oito’s nen Abilities soon as well. Her power will revolve around protecting her baby.
As for the pariston Sheila thing I have an hypothesis, it will be something like Shinobu Sensui in Yu Yu Hakusho, it will be the same body different personalities, what happened changed everybody in the troupe maybe she developed a second personality and that mixed with nen maybe result in that but we won't know until the kurtas revelation, which I think it might be related with the disappearance of the kids
I wouldn't say a range attack would be a weakness for him because whatever is fired at him he will detect before it reached him when it enters his range he could cut it down or dodge.
We don't need to discount Nobunaga's as being complex or anything immediately, though I do think it is likely very simple, but it could just be a pinning down ability or simething like that with a number of other ways for the same. effect.
Honestly, the power system in HxH is making a lot of other Shounen-action series look cheap in comparison. I don't care how immensely popular these other series are.

I guess I’m going to have to read hunter hunter 😂 because this guy has been my sole provider for reliable hunter hunter information for a Long time but I’m lost.
The reason Togashi created HxH is because he wanted to be free in his writing! The point is that it can be anything :) which is so unique and awesome for a story!
I think one of the big reasons is because the world doesnt revolve around the mc. Every shonen anime has a mc and the world is all about him. Luffy, naruto, goku etc. But hxh doesn't have that and that's why it works so well
I feel like Morena and her gang will have to pull off something really impressive to make any of the troupe members’ deaths narratively satisfying, because right now the troupe are significantly stronger, and they’re still being extremely cautious.
What I love about hunter x hunter is that the story is so fluid that it's not centered around a single character
Lowkey centred around Hinrigh atm.

I feel like most Shonen authors tend to write themselves into a corner by focusing too hard on one focal point, but togashi is at the point now where he has true narrative freedom to take the story in whatever direction he wants which is truly magnificent
It's a double edged sword
Thats why i believe Nen is the most intricate power system, it leaves the room for so many paths even with Togashi’s sometimes overly detailed moments
Araki and Jojo are the same, with the way the change settings every season
Right?! Like any character could be the main character in any given chapter and they would fit perfectly. And it’s such an awesome thing to see the story from different peoples perspectives.
He the goat shonen can't cancel him, or change the storyline... Author Naruto want deep and dark story' like hxh but shonen not allowed it
It’s always a possibility that Nobunaga is actually the last spider, and the only one who survives Hisoka. He gives off that last survivor/only survivor energy
Interesting 🤔🙂
Very Interesting. Perhaps he becomes a good guy? Kinda like Hiei?
I can picture it now
Hisoka: Bungee gum has the properties of both rubber and gum!
Nobunaga: Ok.... Both of those things can be cut easily
oh def, i've always thought Nobu would be the last survivor. he's the spider with the most sympathetic portrayal of "my friend FUCKING DIED" and stuff. so it just makes sense for Kurapika's spider murder mission to end with: "just like those who murdered your family, you've now killed a family. is this what you wanted?"

Just like Gon's scissor hatsu then? Just shaping & sharpening his aura

@@harperl2 could be. Only Togashi knows
They seem to be pretty doomed right now, but for all we know Hinrigh and Nobunaga could just as well be the only two survivors of the Spiders and Mafia families by the end of the arc.
the only way he joins is if this mafia family gets killed
hes gonna replace Corolla as hes gonna die
I for one want to see more of Feitan
Edit: I also would like to see more of Bonolenov ; I was shocked whenever he first used his nen and his Jupiter was superb.
Yeah, this would be my guess as well
I can't wait for Kurapika's storyline now! him vs all the competitors is what I live for now
Man i love Hinrigh, absolutely love his personality and power
Im pretty sure Uvogin and Nobunaga are representations of killua and gon just as Troop members. Their friendship that goes beyond the rest of the group, even the way they fight. Nobunaga being precise and deadly with insane speed and Uvogin being a big brawler.
Your predictive analysis of the future hiatus and publication schedule is just as intricate as it would be for a complex Nen ability. Loved it.
Nobu has become my fav in the last few years after uvo.... I think Hunter Hunter has become more about the characters than about the story anymore It used to be about a boy trying to find his father didn't want to be found now it's more about the daily life of characters so it's like friends just with abilities
HxH was always more character driven.
None of the characteristics you mentioned are embodied in him but in his journey as a character he would come to develop them, maybe
On Melody's determination, as I said only a very determined person would pass the Hunter exam.
Cheers :3
Togashi is def building up to something huge.
I feel like Nobu's ability is a reactive ability with his sword, almost like his own personal landmine to react to attacks. Could lightly fit his enhancer trait.
I don’t want nobunaga to die 😂 I feel like he has so much badassery to offer
Just a theory
In my view, Nobunaga already uses his hatsu.
Ging the legend
The Sheila Pariston theory is as good as the Hisoka Illumi theory is/ was with the information we had then/ now.
If I were to find out I had a crazy rare disease and was dying, I would just want to know what was gonna happen in rest of story before I go
To me it seems like he'll have a quick flash step type ability, one that can close any gap so he could quickly incapacitate Sarasa's killers before they even had the chance to move
i was thinking the same yeah, en enhancement hatsu that allows him to draw his sword faster and stronger the longer he holds his hand to his sword.
Ifl Shiela is like the shatter point to us understanding a lot of the puzzle. I'm super curious as to what exactly her role and motivations are

I'm looking forward to seeing more Leorio sometime, right now he's working his ass off and I wonder how much of a better doctor he'll be once we reach the dark continent.
Ngl I would love to see Leorio become more powerful :)
I’m predicting that Nobunagas ability is more like Gin’ Shikai, he probably emits aura and manipulates his sword into a new size
There’s a leaked page in the ch 399 thread which shows nobunaga piercing a person’s (presumably an enemy) head with his sword. Following this, the sword and the entirety of nobunaga began glowing with aura. Since there’s no translation out yet, I can only assume his hatsu is related to absorbing something but I don’t know what
@@luisarceo87 a literal soul reaper
@@luisarceo87 translations are out and it seems like he can extend the chain/rope attached to his sword and his sword allows him to read peoples minds
I'm basically just expecting atomic samurai ability or a generic sword anime distance slash.
His swordsmanship employs Enhanced precision and mobility to connect at range, rather than a fancier Transmutation ability to do the same thing.)
I agree that Nobu probably uses some form of Transmutation to make his sword cut better, but I doubt it's that complicated.

9:09 fr 😭 although it’s my favorite anime, haven’t got into the manga but i did buy the 3 volumes after the animes last season
I gotta say, it's so darn cute and somehow they're even more likeable now :3
It'll be sad to see Nobunaga die.
Me too i swear
This probably isnt a new thought.
This morning I woke up and realized that there is a pattern to the portrayal of nen in the story, sort of. Heaven's Arena introduced nen as a priviliged power, Yorknew introduced the idea that Nen could be used ethically badly at scale, Greed Island introduced what is possible through nen, the Chimera Ant arc introduced what happens when the wrong beings have access to nen, and the Succession War arc seems to be showing what happens when the wrong people have access to nen at scale.
Dark continent arc: what if Nen had feelings
Dark Continent: Forget everything you thought about Nen
8:10 no, you can see their silouhettes in the crowd shot, followed by the change in background, they did move, perhaps very fast.
What if Pariston's nen ability is time reversal? Maybe the reason he's so relaxed and smart because he knows what's going to happen
@MyFilmStudio Yeah that works better lol. I was thinking return by death
Too broken would need a million conditions to activate
I think Nobunaga's ability will function somewhere in between Killua's godspeed and the instant sheath to slice anime swordsmen troupe. Perhaps he refined it to the point where he can't completely eviscerate anything that steps within his en, which is why he warned Gon and Killua in Yorknew that if they crossed he couldn't stop himself from killing them
Just wanna say thank you for the consistent hunter x hunter content and were glad that you plan to create videos for every new chapter/s.
Much love!!
I think your right about "the point" but it could also be Ging and by extension maybe Don... Gon's mission to find his dad may b over but his Ging opened us up to dark continent and now were are exploring this world beyond what gon could ever have imagined aswell as rounding out characters like spiders and kurapika.
was literally just watching your videos from the past 3 months and now a need upload, nice!

I can't wait for the Dark Continent Ark
Ironically I still think illumi is hisoka theory still holds water if you think of how our favorite murder clown dress be it for battle or casual as seen with illumi during election arc hisoka always has his hair up the only times we see it down is after he takes a shower/bath with which illumi was last seen asking about
I want a real like hatsu where I can conjure a notebook and pencil. And sketch object that materialize in the real world. The cut is the longer time spend drawing/detailing the more power/hardy. So fast 5 second images would break easy.
"what the heck, it shattered my blade?? How long did it take you to draw a stick figure???"
- shut uup ☹
The Nen chart Togashi drew showed Nobunaga was transmutation leaning, and considering he is much more precise than Uvo, maybe he is also able to transmute a longer blade of aura attached to his sword to assist with long range.
I think Sheila is the woman with the two scars. It's a long shot but it could be a possibility to bring her back out of no where
ToGOATshi introduced a new character and without backstory at all he already has depth, his writing skill and vibe building is damn top notch. GOAT for a reason
Big bang punch is totally a hatsu. It has conditions and everything.
Nobunaga is still looking to fill the void that Uvogin left

@@theenjeneer2792 Kurapika gave her a nen Ability temporarily which awoke her nen. It’s explained in chapter 388
I'm an Australian and I can confirm that a warm spider sandwich is a popular dish here
aint no way they all watched that quick
We don't need to discount Nobunaga's as being complex or anything immediately, though I do think it is likely very simple, but it could just be a pinning down ability or simething like that with a number of other ways for the same. effect.
Honestly, the power system in HxH is making a lot of other Shounen-action series look cheap in comparison. I don't care how immensely popular these other series are.
True.try jujustu kaisen if you like power system.
More like it makes others look boring
@@emmanuelboakye1124 I did but what i hate about so many of these new series, same with demon slayer is they all have poorly timed and placed humor and actively anoying characters.
Also both shows MCs are way too strong from the get go.
So i lost interest in both shows pretty fast.
Hunter x Hunter realy fucked with my expactations.
@@henriklarssen1331 in jjk if you get to the shibuya arc then you see how good jjk is.
@@henriklarssen1331 dude ..... Jjk and demon Slayer both have ridiculously weak protags , tanjirou at the last arc is literally far far inferior to giyu and gets a one time ability that's pretty much useless against 90% of opponents , yuji's growth is so slow people are basically complaining why isn't he getting stronger .you need to watch more anime and manga lol
these new HXH chapters are keeping me going in life!!!
I love the Sheila is Pariston theory and I hope it's somehow true
I guess I’m going to have to read hunter hunter 😂 because this guy has been my sole provider for reliable hunter hunter information for a Long time but I’m lost.
The Shiela = Pariston theory is fascinating to think about, though I’d be sure if it were true.
It is Togashi though…
~_~
The reason Togashi created HxH is because he wanted to be free in his writing! The point is that it can be anything :) which is so unique and awesome for a story!
I think one of the big reasons is because the world doesnt revolve around the mc. Every shonen anime has a mc and the world is all about him. Luffy, naruto, goku etc. But hxh doesn't have that and that's why it works so well
I feel like Morena and her gang will have to pull off something really impressive to make any of the troupe members’ deaths narratively satisfying, because right now the troupe are significantly stronger, and they’re still being extremely cautious.
The production, the animation and the delivery of the topic was top notch!🤍 One of the best uploads from this channel🥳
