This movie is an absolute 10/10, and this song really elevates the entire vibe of the film. I loved that it was used both in the opening and the closing of the film, its surreal.
Scares the poo out of me. My mother had a Corvair identical to the one in the movie. It was a copper-brown color inside and out. She kept it up until the mid-seventies. Seeing him firing into that car is almost too real for me.
Amazing movie hands down and EXCELLENT edit here, bro. It's just too bad the handwriting, ballistics, fingerprints, and later the DNA didn't match Arthur Leigh Allen. I wish they could've tested out Gaikowski with the same amount vigor.
Recently saw the movie again. This time around I was incredibly impressed by all the acting performances - RDJ is the fucking man. Wish he did more than just Marvel movies.
Hiello RJ: Yes, I am extremely picky about film and lit, and I think this is a great movie. I was NOT expecting much when I decided to watch it. Wow. Really disturbing, haunting, great actors, great dialogue, great, and to me very creepy, soundtrack. I sure recognized all the 70's landmarks in the film. The opening scene was eerie and to me, set the tone perfectly. The tract homes likes mine, the sparklers used for fun on a night when the horror starts, etc. I was born in '51. Hurdy Gurdy man really "bothers me" now.
I can't say I'm sure of what I would have done in such a situation, but if you're relaxing by the side of a lake with your girlfriend and a weirdo in a costume comes along and points a gun at you, you probably don't want to let him tie you up. Same with the two in the car. You don't try to talk to the guy, you gtf outta there. Gun or no gun. Run! Anyway, great movie, great soundtrack.

Fun fact Donovan's daughter played Kathleen johns
Thanks, I didn't know that. It's also an uncredited role for some reason.
