Hey guys! I've been seeing a lot of English comments lately and I just wanted to let you know that you can stream this cover on all major platforms. Here is the link: bit.ly/LagtrainSA
I'd also like to answer a frequently asked question "Is this Vocaloid? Sounds like a real person". All the covers on this channel are sung by a real person (that's me, nice to meet you!) and "vocaloid" in the video title alludes to the fandom~

I didn't know Russian could sound so cute
yes, this is perfect. one of my fav songs
i usually think of german or russian as tough and angry sounding languages, but i guess that depends who you hear it from
depends who speaks the language
i'm from russia, and you need to know, it's really so cool cover
@@Tummamu who are farsi

add Turkish into that list (just search "Vurgun Yedim" highly recommend you listen to it)
Why is the russian cover of lagtrain unironically better than most english covers....
Cuz , this song talking about melancholy and probably sadness, and in this the Russians have many experience, much then anybody)
@@nuclearrover so true
some languages are just better for singing than others
It has to do with translation and pronouncing
because of the performer's voice and emotions
I'm fluent in russian and I thought about why so many people say it's as good as original and better than english covers. I think it works so well because they did such a great job at translating and adapting lyrics to russian (aside from great performance ofc). And if i'm not mistaken, almost all syllables are in the exact same places where they are in original song timing wise, and it's just amazing to see and hear. You can't really achieve that with english (russian words usually have way more consonants than english words), thus english covers would nearly always be a little off.
Also, unlike English, Russian is a lot less dependant on short and long vowels, which makes it kinda more like Japanese in that specific way, and you can achieve a more even destribution of syllables. You can't really get rid of vowel longevity in English because it's an integral feature crucial for differentiating between words (example: "leap" vs "lip", the only difference is the longevity of the vowels, which proves that vowel longevity is a word-differentiating feature in English), however, this feature is not that big of a deal in Russian. Stressed sylables are longer, not stressed are shorter, and even considering that, the vast majority of words would still be easily understood if you intentionally try to elongate some vowels.
So in Russian it's relatively easy to structure a song syllable by syllable with proper stresses and pauses between, but in Enlgish it's incredibly complicated if not impossible to achieve.
P.S. I know that this comment is 1 year old but some people might still find it and read it :)
@@proxima8219This was a very interesting read, thanks for the comment
wasn't there a video discussing how surprisingly similar russian and japanese are
@@viper_exe_ if we're talking about the same video, than yes. As far as I remember it covered similarities in pronounciation of consonants. I mean in terms of pronounciation russian speakers will not have a lot of trouble, as almost every japanese sound can be found in russian. But still, these languages are worlds apart in terms of grammar, sentence structures and even words are nothing alike, aside from a few occasional exceptions. Hence why it's especially hard for japanese people to learn russian, because japanese "alphabet" is all syllables, aside from "n".
So yeah, some pretty random similarities between japanese and russian won't play a big part in terms pf adapting song lyrics
@@proxima8219 Thanks for that comment.

It frustrates me as an aspiring linguist that I can't understand Russian yet, and that's not only because I really love the rendition of this song 😆😆 The lyrics seemed to flow BEAUTIFULLY with the beat of the song, with no awkward syllable cramming at all!!
it's been a while so I guess you forgot. But maybe your Russian has improved a bit? So if you come back to this song now, how would you feel?
Personally I don't understand a lot of Russian, but I'm a native Czech speaker, so while it's not all very similar, the sentence structure is, and a lot of the words sort of make sense from the perspective of Czech if I stop to think about them.
But even if I don't understand the lyrics completely without seeing the translation, I'm seriously impressed at how well the lyrics flow with the sound especially considering that Japanese is so different and yet the actual sentences in the Russian translation seem very natural to me (one would think there may have been weird lyrics cause you couldn't create a good translation with the same length as the original but it seems like that was circumvented.) I like Russian in songs in general. I'm sure the lyricist here is very talented as well.
Я не любитель русских каверов, но вокал довольно хорош и я очень рад, что перевод остался довольно точным, несмотря на изменения для рифмовки

That animation is so cute lol with the bears.
Great cover 👌
No sé cómo llegué a encontrar ésto, pero estoy feliz de haberlo hecho. Me encanta ésta versión y creo que descubrí que me gustan mucho las canciones en ruso.
Saludos desde Chile a la cantante y a quienes vean éste comentario jaja
Me, not understanding Russian, but loving the song: "Ah, yes, language 🗿"
Part of the beauty of listening to songs in different languages when you're not bilingual is not being able to understand a single word that they're saying. The song could be about mass murder or self-harm for all you know, but you don't care because it sounds awesome and no one in your family can understand it anyway. Anywho, awesome cover, f[]ckin' love this. Keep up the good work but don't overwork yourself!
не понимаю, почему это так хорошо ведь это должно быть более популярным! просто чтобы остыть!
Я буквально 2недели назад впервые услышал эту песню в исполнении и вилла сненсона который мне ооочень понравился и мне начали попадаться пародии на lagtrain.. И тут я услышал твой кавер который буквально спас мой день тк он был полным отстоем, а кавер поднял настроение большое спасибо за все твои труды
Это любовь с первого куплета, с первого кадра. Сати, вы и ваша команда просто отлично постарались.
I really like the artstyle and animations in this version, especially the lil verticle hops and the pouty turnaround. Very cute
かっこいいしかわいいし最高やんけ
I'm a Latino Arab, have 0 balkan blood, never been to Russia, only know 2 words, and yet, this is one of my favourite covers out there.
I love how Russian sounds. Heck, I love how all languages sound. Awesome job!
I now have a slight urge to learn Russian and learn to sing, what have you done to me
i am a Filipino, even though i dont understand it, i still enjoy the song
sati akura you have a wonderful voice
Забавный кавер. В прямом смысле, все эти анимации довольно забавные. За них бы отдельный лайк поставил. Всё круто
Now I don't know how this got into my recommendations or why I'm here.
But I love every second of it
Best Lagtrain Version better than orginal.
Ох, прям ностальгия, как я из посёлка в универ на пригородной электричке ездила))
Анимация заставляет залипнуть надолго
Did not know I need a Russian Version of that Song
I don't even speak russian but damn that's so goood
best cover of this song
I think my favorite part about going through lagtrain covers and remixes is watching all these variations of the protagonist bouncing around
Best lagtrain cover by far! ❤
Also she has best Sand Planet cover
Welp, guess I have another Lagtrain to add to my music playlist
this sounds reallly good
I don't care with war. Sati Akura I love you. Keep doing great cover. ❤️
idk why but i really like slavic singing
found this on a mixed of lagtrain videos and now im addicted to it. Never know i would come to love a russian cover
Every time I watch this I can understand it a little bit better
oh my goodnes!!!
this is truly amazing! im bulgarian and im really liking this cover !!!
That's my favorite vocaloid song! I'm so happy!
I am now at the point where I can understand some of the things said. I am proud of my ability to read, and listen (but not understand) Russian
sad thing now a lot of people are starting to hate on russian videos 😟
why?
@@MochiFam theres some trouble between nations in europe, and most people are blaming Russia, even when the russian people didnt do anything wrong
@@RomanTheMexican those people are just weird. i'm russian and of course most of us are against the war! hating language/culture/the whole nation, etc because of some shitty government is dumb. we are people, we are all equal, all of us are amazing (but not those who wants the other nation dead. ew)
@@user-sr2wx1ix1b i totally agree with you
@@user-sr2wx1ix1b yea, it must be hard having your currency fall like a rock. If inflation is bad here in Mexico I can't imagine in russia... I literally have to spend a weeks salary to buy my monthly tank of gas, almost two weeks for rent and the remaining week for food fml
No entiendo japones
No entiendo ruso
Pero algo que suena bien lo veo de todas formas
Exactamente 🤝
really awesome cover. sounds great in Russian.
love from Япония
Настоящая мужицкая песня
I have to say Russians are the best singing sad songs, Maybe because they have a ton of experience in that.
It's probably just the slavic wisdom that can only be obtained through suffering.
As a Russian, I will tell you that you are a little mistaken, in Russia, mostly the older generation is sad
@user-gu2ng3zp1e Huh, I thought you were ALL equally depressed. No offense.
What about doomer music? Those are popular for newer generation, no?
Don't listen to the comments. The Russian soul is always built on suffering. All beautiful Russian songs are based on suffering
Я люблю ИНАБА Кумори, а сейчас люблю тебя!
(я японец, учусь русский язык)
Удачи в изучении языка!
Нашим, кстати, нравятся японские песни:)
А я русская, но изучаю японский и могу писать на хирагане😅😅 Удачи!!

Lagtrain is seriously too good
And this cover is no exception
thank you, not only does this sound angelic but itll help me with studying russian in a way that doesnt bore so much. youre really talented!
Я обожаю тебя Сати, уже 3 года я тренируюсь в Пении с твоих песен, я хочу в будущем тоже стать каверщицей, у меня неплохо получается, и тебе я тоже желаю удачи в исполнении этой и других будущих песен, очень жду начало трансляции, удачки
Песня звучит более чем красиво, причуды, которые вы добавили сами, являются долгожданным дополнением. Так держать, привет из Германии.
I don't usually listen to jpop covered in Russian, but I love your voice!
the soft airy tone is wonderful
I recommend you to listen Sand Planet in her singing
As someone who loves the original and knows russian, I love this
