Thanks for watching! Packaging products are a bit more complicated. You could try both the packaging manufacturer and the brand. The Value Proposition to the brand, if presented well, could be very compelling if your solution will help them differentiate and sell more:)

Very informative, and I started to realize that yes looking at the addresses on the labels in the stores is the way to get to the manufacturers. Yes I remember from the Inventors Assistance League training most of the points you mentioned. But the one I don't remember is when you said see the name of the manufacturer of the product you're working on in the stores even if it has two names the main one should be on the back. And I started doing this and then I stopped. But thanks for the great reminders. This really help a lot of inventors. Keep up the nice work.👍🏼👍🏼😊 I'll keep this in my notes.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I'm glad to hear that you found the reminder about checking the manufacturer's name on products useful. It's a small detail that can make a big difference in your research process. Keep up the great work, and I'm thrilled to know that you're finding the videos helpful. Your support means a lot, and I'm here to share more insights and tips with you. Keep those notes handy, and happy inventing! 😊
Great question! Some companies do have that policy and you just have to respect that. I have had success licensing to companies that have never done it before, so it is possible, but you have to have the right product and skills to make that happen.
Hi Lisa, thank you for sharing your intelligence and experience. I am very new to this (extremely green). Even more important , I do not actually have a product, rather an idea. I have no money to invest into a prototype but feel this idea would sell itself and benefit the company I would sell it to greatly. I am willing to do the homework but not sure where to start.
Hi Kathi, thanks for watching! I started in the exact same place, so I can totally relate. When I was on the Big Idea show I remember explaining that even though I had become so successful at inventing, I still developed every idea on a shoestring budget because you really don't know, you can only hope that there will be a return on the investment. So with or without money, you need to be smart and scrappy! If you are interested in learning how I do that, I do have a new course that you can check out for only $198 and some pretty amazing bonuses. I know it is under priced, but we are exactly the kind of people I created it for so it wouldn't make sense if I sold it at the price it's worth. You can check that out at ninjainventor.com. Cheers!
Thank u. I'm in stage of contacting companies to see if they do work with inventors from out side, but so far no one replied even by sending 4 reminders!!

My application is going through the Examiiners office and should come back patent. I'm going thru InventionHome but I'll be losing more in royalties. How can i move forward on my own and do i need to have a prototype made?
Congratulations, earning a patent is a big deal! Of course, earning money from it is even better:) First I would make sure it is a design or utility patent application you have filed, not a provisional if your expectation is that it "issues". So right now I’m in the situation of finding a licensing company, but the company that is presenting my Product is supposedly presenting my Product in front of different manufactured companies but it been like two months now and still no one reached out to me yet?
Hi Aaron,, great question! It can take time to get a licensing deal, but often the biggest delay comes from our end. The process we use to get booked appointments MUST be effective. For example, if the company you hired just sends out solicitations without permission, that could also be the issue. Without more details, it's hard to pinpoint if there is a problem or not. hey, I'm a newbie in the licensing industry here are my questions : is it inappropriate to ask a company about their revenue ? I have been searching for some companies annual revenue on the internet and in the websites you suggested and got no results . can this portend high risk getting involved with these companies?
Happy to help you with getting started! It is not necessarily inappropriate, it is how you ask. I can say that if you Googled and nothing came up there or on any of the sites recommended, then it is probably an indicator that they are too small and that's why they don't show up. Good luck!
It is entirely possible. It really depends on the company your licensing to. The easiest way to arrange that is to negotiate the terms of the license and ask for it to stipulate that you get to buy product from them, with no minimum quantity requirements, at wholesale. Then you can resell it on your own website. You essentially become a customer like all the other retailers to them, but your arrangement would be for smaller orders, for example, than Target. Makes sense? Hope that helps! if you haven’t already, you can always book a free call with me using the link in the description to chat more about it if you like:)
