Mia Morris - Cave Dweller Anthem (Official Music Video)

- Cave Dweller Anthem is written for anyone who hasn’t yet moved into their castle. I wrote this song with Kaleb Jones one afternoon in Nashville and knew immediately I wanted to cut it. It was easy to know what direction I wanted to take the production to match the song’s 90s rock aesthetic.
Strangely enough, basements aren’t very common in Tennessee. I’m told that’s because there’s lots of rock that has to be blasted away in order to build basements. Lucky for me, a dear friend of the family had the perfect basement and let me terrorize them and their dog Dolly with my drumming for a day. I hope you enjoy my cave dweller anthem, and I’ll be releasing a ton more music in 2024. As always, I sincerely appreciate your support.
I’m 19 years old and I’m a professional musician, songwriter & artist based out of Nashville. I play lots of instruments but the ones that I’m hired to play most often are drums, cajon and bass. I’ve been posting music related videos on RUclips since I was 9 years old and began playing professionally at 14. I’ve always loved music and I’m grateful that it’s also become how I now make a living. This channel started as a combination of my fascination with drums and RUclipsrs and it’s now turned into a much larger music and music business diary. My goals haven’t changed all that much over the years and stay pretty simple. I’d love to keep making music and hope to keep getting better at it.

Dah...ham! Mia! So much lovely dissonance in this one. If I may, I feel some Nirvana, 60s bubblegum, and a semitruck load of Mia. I'm listening from my phone, so the bass isn't very loud, but I'm loving the weird chords against the pretty melody in the chorus. It is not 3asy to do this kind of stuff and still keep it beautiful. I'm impressed ... again.

:) I'm really glad to hear that because the next two releases I've got planned take pretty large musical swings in two more directions. I can't, (or won't, is probably more accurate) steer my music to any particular genre. I prefer to go wherever the songs personality is strongest and I'm hunting down very different moods from day to day.

I honestly think you are one of the, if not the, most creative musicians active today! Just wondering, are you sure Nashville is the place you should spend all your time at this stage, given your unusual style? Not really known for " radical creativity" there. 😢
First off, thank you so much. My day job is playing for a bunch of other musicians/bands so Nashville is perfect for that. It's also maybe the best town for song writers as well and that's very high on my list of how I love to spend my time. As for an artist, you're not wrong and as a result, I don't go out of my way to play artist shows here. Instead, I release a bunch of music and travel wherever I can for live shows.
