Nikke last year HALF anni was 60 summons + 4 copies of a SSR character, this year HALF anni was 128 summons + 4 boxes to select between this year or last year SSR, and they still managed to fund Stellar Blade. Some companies will try to milk as much money as possible, some companies will reward and show appreciation to their players for helping they grow.
I think that's just Kuro, after seeing their CEO's interview, i just felt like they are the type of Company that is more for the enjoyment of the players and their experiences.... I hope they will be like that until the future, but i hope their health and income won't be in jeopardy... For me, spending some money on them every month is not a waste because i feel their passion and care :).
Was thinking the same. This is Kuro being Kuro. having been with PGR since day 1, one of the biggest things I always tell people is that the way they present F2P / treat their players makes me want to spend on them. So long as I have the extra cash, Kuro has shown that they are worth backing.

I've become very invested in Kuro games, I started PGR because of Wuwa and honestly, these games are so generous. I'm willing to spend because it's a good balance for low spenders and free to play.

I played pgr got bored hated it for it's trash story, thought wuwa gonna be same, turned out wuwa was trash in story but still the combat is good enough to make me hooked. It's not the generousity I look forward but the actual game content that is the story mainly then the combat and followed by quality of life and other micro stuff
Rn in PGR 3rd anniversary elisa is free to pick up at anytime ……kuro could do something like a 100% rate up for a 5 star character no 50 50 no bs or you could get to pick one limited 5 star character up to the day of anniversary for free or free limited weapon the possibilities are endless
Wuwa has become the only gacha that im actively spending money on. Like really, i'm so gratefull that i wan't to support them. In fact, they way they are giving out so much for free, makes me want to spend, even if that sounds controvercial. I'm playing zenless zone, i've played genshin in the past, i've spent 0 and will spend 0, but kuro my beloved, you really deserve all of that, like 15 Euro a month makes me absolutely no problem. The problem with gacha games is that mostly even if you are spending low on them, you still feel like you are out of resourses absolutely, while with kuro you have pretty decent amount of them, and with low spending you feel... full? i mean it's just that you don't feel that you have to spend 100 dollars to get something, and that makes it much easier for you to spend like 10-15 a month, like bro

Even though I *do* spend on HSR and used to spend on GI/Tears of Themis- I'm really happy when I'm giving money to WuWa for the battle pass or the monthly subscription just because. The game itself is just really really generous and I want to be able to showcase my support however possible
they should release skins to make money and keep giving a lot of rewards ingame, but more importantly add more endgame content whenever they can squeeze it in the game
Yeah I would prefer that they released a new 5 star character per patch and focused on creating new events and permanent game modes where we can take advantage of all the characters we have built and encourage us to continue build more characters, and please stop following the gameplay path of hoyoverse.
As u said, whenever they do stuff like this; give out free selectors, free 5 star and actively listening to the player fan base, it does make me want to spend money on them to support them. As a PGR players thats just being KURO being generous .. they literally give limited 5star character/ 5star selectors/ 5 star weapon selector/ 4star characters/ and 4s weapon selector/ skins . depends on what patch but i guess every 2-3 patches they give away free characters ever so often. anniversary event, half annive event. april fools event. theres a lot.. they give character for no reason

Wuwa already gives a lot of free pull every patch, 5 pull limited and 5 pull standard for login and even a 7/7/7 pull from Blue Coral. Honestly Getting a free pull for anniversary is I think enough, Because the developer is consistently fixing the game and give the hot fix update every 4 days, I can't imagine how many hours of sleep they have lost for this.
I wish they address the materials drop above Rank 60 in the future, materaials are basically the same as in rank 50 so what's the point of unlocking higher world tier? Also let us reforge usless echos into echo exp and not just other echoes. Those are easy to farm, on their own, but leveling them is what holds the system back.
First gacha game where I felt happy to buy Battlepass just to support them. I bought 2 for HSR, but that was because Dr. Ratio was given for free, I just felt happy to endulge and support them. Little did I know that was the last good thing HSR would provide. Been buying passes since Day 1, and I don't think I would stop anytime soon.
been playing PGR for 2+ years now and i haven't seen another gacha game so generous, and besides that kuro is ALWAYS taking player feedback in consideration and bringing new modes, qols etc, so i'm pretty happy to support them, unlike some other companies out there.

I have never spent money on gatcha until wuwa. Most of gatcha are hardly a game at all, at most you can praise their art design or story, they dont usually listen to feedback, they are stingy and predatory. Wuwa for me has potential to be a good game and they listen, so I bought the subscription and battlepass, and if they improve further maybe Ill spend more, but Ill never pay more than a "normal" game. Reward those who treat you well, punish those who treat you like shit. Is sad to see so many ppl unable to leave a game because they have spent too much, gambling is such a double edge thing, you take it the wrong way and you end up having stockholm syndrome. Some of it because of plain addiction, others because they played too much during Covid...
I completely agree w/ you. I also think the HSR team in Mihoyo is doing well all things considered. Whether it's because they are truly passionate about the game, I'm not sure, but them along w/ WuWa are heads and tails above a majority of other gachas.

4:55 well, Genshin had increased the cap limit for resin from 160 to 200 but the recharging speed is the same and they eliminated 2 refreshes of the spiral abyss per month to introduce a new endgame mode and keep the amount of F2P rewards more or less in the same level, so, they do appear to be doing something but not much is really changing.
Personally getting a free 5 star wouldn’t be surprising considering how generous they have been since the launch. 🤩🤩However I wouldn’t expect too much, because it’s also possible for Kuro to think that they have already given 2 free 5 stars, 😅 and considering how their gacha system works (only one 50/50 possible other banners are guaranteed 😍😍) they might slow down on rewards. But if it’s the case, I think we’ll still be getting a good amount of astrites and pulls. 😊😊

It's the second gacha game that i have played after genshin, and seriously this game is just insane. I loved genshin too because i used to think thats how gacha games are supposed to work like. But after seeing how kuro treats their players and their game as a product. It's just amazing. It's the first game where I don't feel like spening a little money isn't a waste. I wish their success as a business.
PGR has the answer. I reckon a 5 star selector and event to get another free 5 star and outfit. Might sound unbelievable to those who don't play PGR but in the current patch we are getting a free 5 star support character (who hugely powercreeps the current character in that slot) with a free special skin and special weapon skin and a standard weapon skin. im loving Kuro, as a long time genshin player I was F2P for about the first year. Kuro I lasted one month before i bought their pass. They are so good with the rewards that I wanted to show my support.
I have spent a lot in hsr and all it did was make the game boring. Ut took me 30 minutes in ww to realize this was my forever game, and two weeks later, i definitely plan on putting money into this game, hell, i actually plan on buying a new laptop just for this game ( i play on flagship mobile). I really think that ww is a triple a game disguised as a gacha. I play Zzz as well but for me its sole problem is lack of content, there is absolutely nothing to do past Ik 45 besides log in for dailie/weekly. This will be fixed with future patches but even then the game loop looks to last a week then back to dailies.
I personally think ZZZ is crap but thats just down to my personal preference. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean others do, play what you find fun and enjoy. "One man's trash is another man's treasure."
Coming from HSR, I always thought these type of games were this generous. When I found out they werent, I was more impressed with WW rewards as well, given how stricter the open world gacha games have with their rewards and stuff. In terms of the rewards moving forward, I dont think they are slowing down PGR players are noting "yup just another day on the Kuro side". For the first anniversary, I can see something like either another selector for standard characters or one for maybe the 1.X rotation of characters which would be crazy. But lets see what they decide to do.

No other gacha games need to be on kuro level , but if they don't that'd be their losss ,they had the time ,ther resources,the opportunities but they didn't so their loss ,i know many creators who quit those games out of frustration

Genshin DID add more stamina, but the time to get them is still the same. So it takes longer to refill and would probably entice more people to refresh *via spending gems*
At this point, the paying players aren't just "pay to win" anymore, theyre spending because of the generosity of kuro, not just because they want to get stronger as fast as possible
It might be possible for Kuro in Wuthering Waves to offer us a 100% rate-up limited target banner where you can pick the character you want, excluding the two newest 5-star characters or the characters from the last two patches, and the pity will carry over to the next banner. Or, they might give us a free limited 5 star character but you will need to grind for it. Not sure though, just basing my experience from their other game, PGR.
True but the main standpoint is that Natlan is releasing soon and Kuro wants to retain their fan base more because many Wuwa players are mainly Genshin players and better marketing overall if they gave a limited 5star. They are giving him away in the second phase when Natlan is released, overall Kuro is goated.
I play all 3. Genshin since 1.1, Honkai Star Rail since 1.0, and wuthering waves since 1.0. Genshin has been my main game and play star rail casually and i play Wuthering now after i do everything i can do in Genshin on the current patch. Wuthering waves is really fun and thw story has great potential. The main thing besides gameplay thats chaining me to Wuthering waves is Scar. He better be playable or I might cry. 🤣
PGR gives free S ranks (limited 5 stars). It's not an apology gift, this is just how they treat their players. 😊 If you want an idea of how anniversary will look like, it's better to reference how it's done in PGR. It usually involves an S rank (limited 5 star) selector. But this could be done differently in WuWa if they implement reruns. PGR doesn't really do the typical type of rerun banners you're used to seeing. 😅 And the S rank gets added to the standard pool and it becomes a complete gamble on whether you get the S rank you want. That's why, if you miss an S rank, you're kinda screwed until anniversary. So, I dunno if WuWa plans on doing reruns and how it will influence anniversary rewards. But believe in Kuro Games. The devs really loves their games and their players. Regardless of what they decide, anniversary will be lit. ❤ And I hope everyone continues to reward the devs and support them and the games. As for revenue charts, Changli banner tracking got nuked all around the world on the app store again. There was a news article about it. I don’t understand why this keeps happening to them. lol 😅
You called it, I play HSR for the super easy dailies and story, spend a little here and there, gave up on Genshin and been grinding WuWa. Dumped a decent amount of money on YinLin and battlepass/daily and been loving every moment of the game. #GenshinCouldNever
PGR player here and Wuwa giving out a free character for free is a very Kuro thing to do in PGR they like to give out free characters A ranks (4 star) S Rank (5 star).
They should do a skin or a limited weapon instead of character imo. I feel a little overwhelmed for them lmao, for the Game Awards thing. Anniv can be a character if they wish, but i think the multi wishes are pretty cool
i think keeping expectations in check is important, idk the reason for this free 5 star but ultimately they area company that wants to make profit, they arent just gonna give away 5 stars left and right imo, im saying this cause this happend in hsr when anni came and we didnt get anything for free like the GOTY some people got real upset.
I will definitly support wuwa it deserve it despite clumsy start .They are generous, have beautifull characters , chill vibe music and nice locations, great combat and animations, unique world , nice bosses , alot of qol stuff taken from many another gachas. HSR is also great game, simple , beatifull and chill though its hard to wait from patch to patch for content. ZZZ is more of experimental side project , a game with kind of more social and mundane aspects of life of mc and a lot of action combat , while brewing too much of different stuff toghether it got criticism and is somewhat neglected of attention imo , not so great to watch streams with its game play , even if somewere the game is popular considering statistic of revenues the next few months will show us more datas to analyse . Its a hard year for us players , too many gachas at the same times and 3 more new games are comming.
It's gamble on their end to believe that if they show generosity, the players would return the favor. It's a marketing approach that most gaming companies don't practice. Though it's a big factor generosity alone won't be enough to build retention. Kuro also treats their players well by listening and providing a good gaming experience. Generosity + quality game + good relationship with players = success I do return the favor. I regularly buy pass including the 4.99's. :)
I honestly quit ZZZ mostly because of the one tv for some reason my login screen would always take upwards of 15 minutes to load and no matter what i did i couldn't fix it. i didn't want to wait around for a game to load just for me to not feel like playing anymore cuz i'm just gonna face more tv's besides that the game was fun

I wonder how invested players are instead of seeing monthly spendings. Hoyo games have 90 pity and you can lose weapon banners as well, while in WuWa I can easily go for S6 R5.
The only reason I don't think Wuthering Waves will win Mobile game of the year award is because I've seen a lot of complaints from players about the performance of the game being horrible on mobile even on the high spec models and also about unusual lag. Now, I don't know how much of it is actually true as I don't ever intend to play this game or any pc game on a mobile phone.

For most, Genshin is their first gacha game. So in that vein they have no context on what's normally done with other gachas during celebrations/events. I've always said to my friends that Hoyo's being stingy af in Genshin and they don't believe me. It's like using one service but since they've never tried any other, so they assume Hoyo's the standard when it's not. So, yes, it is a shock for them when I've been telling them that in celebrations or events it's a norm to give many pull or give out rare SSR units as gifts. Most of my friends have quit genshin at this moment.

Wuwa already gives a lot of free pull every patch, 5 pull limited and 5 pull standard for login and even a 7/7/7 pull from Blue Coral.
Honestly Getting a free pull for anniversary is I think enough, Because the developer is consistently fixing the game and give the hot fix update every 4 days, I can't imagine how many hours of sleep they have lost for this.

been playing PGR for 2+ years now and i haven't seen another gacha game so generous, and besides that kuro is ALWAYS taking player feedback in consideration and bringing new modes, qols etc, so i'm pretty happy to support them, unlike some other companies out there.

I have never spent money on gatcha until wuwa. Most of gatcha are hardly a game at all, at most you can praise their art design or story, they dont usually listen to feedback, they are stingy and predatory. Wuwa for me has potential to be a good game and they listen, so I bought the subscription and battlepass, and if they improve further maybe Ill spend more, but Ill never pay more than a "normal" game.
Reward those who treat you well, punish those who treat you like shit. 4:55 well, Genshin had increased the cap limit for resin from 160 to 200 but the recharging speed is the same and they eliminated 2 refreshes of the spiral abyss per month to introduce a new endgame mode and keep the amount of F2P rewards more or less in the same level, so, they do appear to be doing something but not much is really changing.

Personally getting a free 5 star wouldn’t be surprising considering how generous they have been since the launch. 🤩🤩However I wouldn’t expect too much, because it’s also possible for Kuro to think that they have already given 2 free 5 stars, 😅 and considering how their gacha system works (only one 50/50 possible other banners are guaranteed 😍😍) they might slow down on rewards. It's the second gacha game that i have played after genshin, and seriously this game is just insane. I loved genshin too because i used to think thats how gacha games are supposed to work like. But after seeing how kuro treats their players and their game as a product. It's just amazing. It's the first game where I don't feel like spening a little money isn't a waste. I wish their success as a business.

im loving Kuro, as a long time genshin player I was F2P for about the first year. Kuro I lasted one month before i bought their pass. They are so good with the rewards that I wanted to show my support.
I have spent a lot in hsr and all it did was make the game boring.
Ut took me 30 minutes in ww to realize this was my forever game, and two weeks later, i definitely plan on putting money into this game, hell, i actually plan on buying a new laptop just for this game ( i play on flagship mobile).
I really think that ww is a triple a game disguised as a gacha.
I play Zzz as well but for me its sole problem is lack of content, there is absolutely nothing to do past Ik 45 besides log in for dailie/weekly. This will be fixed with future patches but even then the game loop looks to last a week then back to dailies.

Coming from HSR, I always thought these type of games were this generous. When I found out they werent, I was more impressed with WW rewards as well, given how stricter the open world gacha games have with their rewards and stuff. In terms of the rewards moving forward, I dont think they are slowing down PGR players are noting "yup just another day on the Kuro side". For the first anniversary, I can see something like either another selector for standard characters or one for maybe the 1.X rotation of characters which would be crazy. But lets see what they decide to do.

Genshin DID add more stamina, but the time to get them is still the same. So it takes longer to refill and would probably entice more people to refresh *via spending gems*
At this point, the paying players aren't just "pay to win" anymore, theyre spending because of the generosity of kuro, not just because they want to get stronger as fast as possible
It might be possible for Kuro in Wuthering Waves to offer us a 100% rate-up limited target banner where you can pick the character you want, excluding the two newest 5-star characters or the characters from the last two patches, and the pity will carry over to the next banner.
Or, they might give us a free limited 5 star character but you will need to grind for it.
Not sure though, just basing my experience from their other game, PGR.
Lilith games and wuwa company are my favorite gacha game developer their generosity is very high than games i play.

I play all 3. Genshin since 1.1, Honkai Star Rail since 1.0, and wuthering waves since 1.0. Genshin has been my main game and play star rail casually and i play Wuthering now after i do everything i can do in Genshin on the current patch. Wuthering waves is really fun and thw story has great potential. The main thing besides gameplay thats chaining me to Wuthering waves is Scar. He better be playable or I might cry. 🤣
PGR gives free S ranks (limited 5 stars). It's not an apology gift, this is just how they treat their players. 😊
If you want an idea of how anniversary will look like, it's better to reference how it's done in PGR.
It usually involves an S rank (limited 5 star) selector.
But this could be done differently in WuWa if they implement reruns.
PGR doesn't really do the typical type of rerun banners you're used to seeing. 😅 And the S rank gets added to the standard pool and it becomes a complete gamble on whether you get the S rank you want.
That's why, if you miss an S rank, you're kinda screwed until anniversary.
So, I dunno if WuWa plans on doing reruns and how it will influence anniversary rewards.
But believe in Kuro Games. The devs really loves their games and their players.

PGR player here and Wuwa giving out a free character for free is a very Kuro thing to do in PGR they like to give out free characters A ranks (4 star) S Rank (5 star).
They should do a skin or a limited weapon instead of character imo. I feel a little overwhelmed for them lmao, for the Game Awards thing. Anniv can be a character if they wish, but i think the multi wishes are pretty cool

i think keeping expectations in check is important, idk the reason for this free 5 star but ultimately they area company that wants to make profit, they arent just gonna give away 5 stars left and right imo, im saying this cause this happend in hsr when anni came and we didnt get anything for free like the GOTY some people got real upset.
I will definitly support wuwa it deserve it despite clumsy start .They are generous, have beautifull characters , chill vibe music and nice locations, great combat and animations, unique world , nice bosses , alot of qol stuff taken from many another gachas. HSR is also great game, simple , beatifull and chill though its hard to wait from patch to patch for content. ZZZ is more of experimental side project , a game with kind of more social and mundane aspects of life of mc and a lot of action combat , while brewing too much of different stuff toghether it got criticism and is somewhat neglected of attention imo , not so great to watch streams with its game play , even if somewere the game is popular considering statistic of revenues the next few months will show us more datas to analyse . Its a hard year for us players , too many gachas at the same times and 3 more new games are comming.
Skins that look good but don’t add stats will always be a good cash cow if the game itself is good.
It's gamble on their end to believe that if they show generosity, the players would return the favor. It's a marketing approach that most gaming companies don't practice. Though it's a big factor generosity alone won't be enough to build retention. Kuro also treats their players well by listening and providing a good gaming experience.
Generosity + quality game + good relationship with players = success

The only reason I don't think Wuthering Waves will win Mobile game of the year award is because I've seen a lot of complaints from players about the performance of the game being horrible on mobile even on the high spec models and also about unusual lag. For most, Genshin is their first gacha game. So in that vein they have no context on what's normally done with other gachas during celebrations/events. I've always said to my friends that Hoyo's being stingy af in Genshin and they don't believe me. It's like using one service but since they've never tried any other, so they assume Hoyo's the standard when it's not. So, yes, it is a shock for them when I've been telling them that in celebrations or events it's a norm to give many pull or give out rare SSR units as gifts. Most of my friends have quit genshin at this moment.
